Chapters
- 00:00 - 01:00: Introduction and Reason for Health Check In this chapter, Mr. Lou shares his initial skepticism about needing a health test, triggered by a recent heart attack suffered by a friend's father, who is of a similar age to Mr. Lou. He explains that this event, along with concerns from another person named Ku and the observation that someone named Misu leads a vigorous life, prompted his visit for the health check.
- 01:00 - 10:00: Health Check Discussion and Process The chapter discusses the importance of regular health check-ups while highlighting a personal anecdote. The speaker mentions that they are in Singapore and plan to have a health check-up since it has been a long time since the last one. They emphasize the benefits of being aware of one's health status, despite feeling fit, suggesting it's useful to ensure everything is alright. This attitude reflects a preventive approach to health. The speaker humorously attributes their fitness to factors like ginseng and a sense of having 'super power.'
- 10:00 - 19:00: Discussion about Prostate Concerns In this chapter, the participants discuss concerns and considerations regarding prostate health. They emphasize the importance of regular health checks and ensuring that all aspects of one's health are in good condition. Although one participant feels that they do not appear to have health problems, the conversation underlines that appearances can be deceiving and it is wise to undergo check-ups regularly. The dialogue ends with a mutual agreement to proceed with a health check, despite any prior neglect.
- 19:00 - 30:00: Follow-up Tests and Observations In the chapter titled 'Follow-up Tests and Observations', the setting is described through a conversation between a person and Mr. Blue, possibly a medical professional or receptionist. The dialogue implies a setting similar to a hotel, suggesting a comfortable or high-class medical facility. The chapter seems to focus on an appointment or follow-up, indicated by the mention of a screenshot for an appointment, and is capped off with an expression of gratitude.
- 30:00 - 42:00: Health Check Environment and Experience This chapter discusses the environment and experience of a health check, comparing it to a hotel setting. It hints at privacy and cost considerations with the dialogue indicating a high-end, possibly luxurious setting characterized by non-disclosure of expenses.
- 42:00 - 50:00: Health Check Conclusion and Recommendations The chapter discusses the protagonist's experience of going for a health check. They express feelings of disbelief about their appearance and age, comparing it humorously to that of a young person. The protagonist acknowledges that they need to see a doctor, and there is a mention of Dr. Brian as the attending physician. There is a sense of anticipation and slight confusion as they narrate their situation. The protagonist is distracted and shares a brief anecdote about a previous night, reflecting on the challenges faced. The narrative leaves off with the protagonist preparing for their appointment.

Yeah, I think it's tough. I think the doctor is

I actually feel that I don't need a health check. I super super fit. I know I'm 50 plus. I feel like 20 something years
- 03:30 - 04:00 old. You look like 27 as well. 27. Okay. But anyway, um but my tell me what I need to do. Okay. Okay. Uh so thanks for thanks for coming to raffles today for your house cleaning. Is this your first time doing a house cleaning? This is not but it's about time. It's about time. 10 years ago when I was in Singell we had a corporate we have a corporate screening. Yeah. I occasionally I do a bit of health check like blood test at a family doctor and
- 04:00 - 04:30 then uh there was another time precoid I went for one what do you call trapping run and then they put a lot of starts on it and things like that uh other than that I can't remember when I did a health check I'm okay but get my get my been getting more the work has been getting more more and more hectic. I see. Yeah. So yes, I mean it's good that your family they they they're worried about your health. They're concerned which is a good thing. Um so so what I ask um aside from the BMA were
- 04:30 - 05:00 there any other previous medical conditions that you had in the past? Uh I had a sinus uh infection in about 20 years ago and I had two operations. Two operations. Two operations on it. Um sorry. What what operations were you did to enlarge the sinus airway and that really helped uh in in the breathing part because it was just a lot of pass and yeah but I took some TCM and that
- 05:00 - 05:30 really helped as well. Yeah. So that was that's our only major operation. And aside from this um few conditions that you highlighted, are there anything else? Any pre any other medical conditions like high blood pressure? A high cholesterol. High cholesterol. Yes. Super high. Super high. That's not true. Uh I mean high since he was like the first time we check that is like 30 years old. Then after that she my wife managed to convince a family doctor to
- 05:30 - 06:00 put some pressure on me and say that you you know it can cause stroke it can cause heart attack and you can cause male function to degenerate and all sort of thing and then I was on crestor after that okay yeah 5 mg okay I mean it's quite hard with your your job now you know the timings that you have to film and everything long hours so sometimes maybe quite difficult to find some time to get some exercise in. But I do exercise a lot. I I take 15,000 steps a
- 06:00 - 06:30 day. 15,000. Wow. On a without tracker. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Without fail. Without fail. I see. Oh, that's that's very good. But I walk um I walk late 1 2 a.m. Then what time do you wake up? About 10 9. Oh, so good. I have adequate sleep. It's just a sleeping hours. Just uh move. I see. I see. Okay. Okay. That's good. Uh and um every day getting 15,000 steps without fail. Yes. Without fail. Okay. On top of the 15,000, do you go to gym or exercise? I do some push-ups
- 06:30 - 07:00 about 30 40 a day. Okay. Uh, and any family history of any medical problems? Okay. My dad My dad has prostate cancer. He's got high cholesterol as well. My dad's older brother has prostate cancer as well. My mom uh obviously she doesn't have a prostate but her brother died from prostate cancer. Wait, your mom also got a bit of diabetic, right? Yeah, my mom was diabetic as well. Your grandma is
- 07:00 - 07:30 diabetic. That is true. Okay. And her brother as well. So there's some diabetic genes as well. So mother has diabetes. Um mom's mom has diabetes, right? And mom's brother has diabetes as well. My mom's uh younger brother died from prostate cancer. So I got father's side, mother's side all got history of prostate cancer. And is it true? So my chances of getting prostate cancer is 100%. Not really. Uh for prostate cancer the sometimes the
- 07:30 - 08:00 when you whether you get it or not it's quite a few factors that cause it not just genetic is sometimes mixed uh as to how you you get prostate cancer. many many factors. I see. Yeah. What is the most uh probable cause? Uh most probable cause sometimes is due to uh decrease in age actually. So as so the the older for males the older we get the longer we get exposed to our our
- 08:00 - 08:30 sex hormone testosterone. So that causes the prostate to enlarge slightly. Aside from that any other family history of any stroke, heart attack? My my father's elder brother had a stroke. Father's elder brother. Yeah. Have you um smoke or drink? No, I don't smoke. I don't drink. Uh I don't gamble. Um and don't womanize matter. Yeah. I got almost no
- 08:30 - 09:00 vices except uh well except I eat a lot. Uh he likes food. It's a glutton and that's a problem. All of us we have a weakness for that. Exactly. Yeah. Oh yeah, sometimes because I I work like three, four jobs or something like that. Um and sometimes at the end of the day I just feel like I'm like drained. But that's human, right? I drain and I feel the heart is just like overworked and I just feel a drain. But I other than that I I mean if I did four jobs that's true. Yeah. I want to ask a
- 09:00 - 09:30 little bit more about the aches and pains. Is it worse in the morning? Do you have morning stiffness? No. No. Okay. Does the pain go anywhere else to the low? If you have morning uh stiffness, what does it mean? Sometimes morning stiffness can be associated with certain conditions like uh rheumatoid arthritis or uh like uh because the pain, back pain got many causes. Uh sometimes it could be a mechanical kind of pain or bone or muscle kind of pain or uh other things like an inflammatory kind of pain. So that has different uh
- 09:30 - 10:00 uh no none of those uh none of those things. Just normal old man eggs I suppose and it gets better through the the health package. What we're going to do for you today. Okay. So this is your what the itinerary is for today actually. Um so many. So this is the the screen. Uh it includes basically later we'll do a check for you. You check the worst time to do BMI. Yeah. Your BMI, your blood pressure. Um and then later we'll do a
- 10:00 - 10:30 chest X-ray. Uh heart rhythm is okay. Uh and then we can choose one of the straight. Sorry. Okay. I did. I tried everything already. And so and so far like when you urinate issues like is it slower? Oh yes. I I go to toilet a lot. Like urine a lot. How often? Oh. Um but since the day I know you. Yeah. Since the day I go toilet very frequently. I know him since 18 years old. And uh he has been doing that. How how frequent is
- 10:30 - 11:00 like every hour you go? Yeah. And and is there like a lot of urine that comes out? Yeah, reasonably. Okay. No, in the past he drinks a lot. He's uh I call it swu. Yeah. How much water do you drink? Last time he drinks a lot, but now he doesn't. No, I do. I still drink. Not that much. Yeah, I still drink I still do drink quite a bit. Seven more than seven cups a day. No. Yes. Huh? I think so. No. Okay. Around there. Around. Around there. And a lot of caffeine. No,
- 11:00 - 11:30 no caffeine at all. No caffeine. Rarely tea. That's it. Rarely tea. Um, also I do a lot of ayapaka tea. Green tea. That kind of thing. Yeah. Okay. And when you urinate, do you feel like the stream is a bit slower? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It's how much urine I have. I see. I go to a lot and then a lot in the night at least maybe two times, sometimes even three times. Yeah. Okay. So yeah there are times even five times I think uh it's a
- 11:30 - 12:00 family history of father also right five times a night that's quite quite a lot actually then your sleep will be interrupted right I usually urinate before I go to sleep a lot then during the night time then I wake up one or two times never never bother me to sleep it means that after urine I go back to fall asleep no issue yeah okay okay okay I have a bad habit I like to drink a lot of water before I sleep oh okay how much water do you drink one cup. Two cup big cup. Big cup. Big cup.
- 12:00 - 12:30 Yeah. Because before I stay, I take my craft store. Yeah. Um and a lot of times he does his live stream before sleeping. I see late at night. Yeah. So he drink he talk a lot and drink and after that before he drink again. There's valid reasons. Yeah. Okay. Well, a couple of things I can suggest to try and bring down the frequency of the the times that you not just drink less, but the the drinks that you drink as well. So, for example,
- 12:30 - 13:00 green tea, sometimes it has some element of caffeine inside. So, I recommend maybe you can switch that to water. Uh definitely, you know, if you do your live stream, sometimes your throat feels dry, you need to drink some water. But I recommend maybe instead of just drinking two cups before you sleep, you can spread it out uh over the the duration of the entire night and just go in sips. So you you consume less and usually what I tell my patients is maybe 1 2 hours before they sleep then you'll notice that you wake up lesser more often.
- 13:00 - 13:30 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Anything of concern? Um no. Also because what you're suggesting what you have described just now um it shows what you call lower urinary tract uh symptoms of suggestion that maybe the prostate may be enlarged already because uh number one frequent going to toilet sometimes the incomplete emptying the dribbling sometimes some other patients they feel uh uh difficulty initiating the urine as well so they have to wait for a while before the urine comes so all of these are some
- 13:30 - 14:00 uh symptoms not all patients with uh an enlarged prostate needs to be on medication or they need surgery or anything like that. But uh we need to monitor this and sometimes with lifestyle changes uh usually with uh fluid intake uh you reduce it it gets better. So later when you check you'll be able to see whether the process. So later later when I check I will be able to see. Okay. Okay. Okay.
- 14:00 - 14:30 [Music] [Music] There's a lot of check your right leg right. Can you keep it straight? Keep it
- 14:30 - 15:00 up. Keep it straight. Keep it up. Don't let me push down now. [Music] Last thing, right? Um, I got to check your prostate. Is that okay? The prostate size? I know. I I know. I Okay.
- 15:00 - 15:30 Yeah, this is the one I'm most scared of. Privacy. I I scream. Okay. Oh man. I'll record your screaming. You know this part. Ignore my ignore my ignore my rubbish. Okay. Yeah. I I really Nobody likes this part, right? I'm sure the doctors will hate this part. Okay. Okay. So, what you do? Most important, how's my prostate?
- 15:30 - 16:00 Slightly enlarged. Slightly enlarged. Am I in trouble? Oh, really? Uh, given that you have no symptoms. I do have symptoms. I toilet a lot. Yeah, but uh calm down. Okay. Thank you. So done. To be frank, I think doctors are the most
- 16:00 - 16:30 noble job. Yeah, thank you. It's the most noble job you know. Yeah. So, very fast. You did it very fast. So, coming back to the point, um, basically the examination was unremarkable. I couldn't really pick up my M that I hurt. So far, okay. Um, just on the the prostate exam is slightly enlarged. So, usually prostate size two finger breaths. Of course, different fing people with different size fingers, but
- 16:30 - 17:00 usually um it's about two fingers like like that. This average was about 2.5. Uh fortunately, I couldn't feel any nodules or any cyst uh any lumps on the prostate. There was no pain to suggest inflammation or infection. So that's good. Um so I think what we can do is we can continue to observe uh to see how you are. We'll do the ultrasound as well to quantify to make sure that uh to see how large it is or whether we can find they can find any cyst or anything like
- 17:00 - 17:30 that. Usually the main state of treatment for pro enlarge prostate a lot of us we have that uh but the main state of treatment is uh number one lifestyle changes so fluid your your fluid uh so it means drink a lot. No uh you can drink the same amount but you have to spread it out at different times. Oh I see. Just before you sleep not really. I see. Okay. But it may be hard in your case because especially if you you're doing live streaming sometimes that may be difficult. So maybe we can suggest something to help uh work around that
- 17:30 - 18:00 problem. So it's not the amount of water but it's the frequency of water and the duration when you drink the water that's important. So what's what's the suggested uh lifestyle change? So my my suggestion is given that you do live streaming at night um I would suggest maybe you take the water consistently in sips throughout your live stream daytime as well you can keep it the same but usually maybe about 2 hours before you sleep uh try to minimize the amount of Oh so it is so it is too much water
- 18:00 - 18:30 at night that cause that cause you to go up wake up yeah but but the enlarging of the prostate is it linked to that no that's not Okay. Yeah. The enlargement of the prostate can be due to many things. One of them is family history. One of them is age related. Sometimes the only problem is when the symptoms impact your life. Then that's when we have to do something like for example you realize now I keep I really have to wait for a long time before I urinate or
- 18:30 - 19:00 every time when I go to toilet the last one out you know with my when I go with my families they have to wait for me. or you know I keep going to the toilet but I always feel like there's still some urine inside or there's uh blood when I urinate uh then those we may have to to do further testing and work up blood luck uh in some cases when you have symptoms that really affect your quality of life then the next step of maybe taking some medications would help maybe uh reduce the size of prostate and keep
- 19:00 - 19:30 it under control. Um and if that still doesn't work then maybe the next step will be u surgery like to try to reduce the process. But of course I'm I'm I'm not suggesting any of that. That's the tra trajectory of things. We try to uh continue to monitor it uh every year at uh the check and then if there any changes in your symptoms or how you feel then sometimes we may uh recommend different differently. What we can do is since it's picked up early, at least we can continue to monitor it and then we
- 19:30 - 20:00 observe it. Uh and then what we'll do is we continue to do the rest of the house screening for you. Uh the report will be out in about 3 to 5 days time. Okay. It'll be sent to your email and then you book an appointment and come back and then we can go through the results again. Wonderful. Okay. Wow. I never done such a comprehensive uh super comprehensive. You're very detailed. Thank you very much. Really appreciate RMG doctor have to go through all this right but but I really appreciate it. No
- 20:00 - 20:30 problem. I really appreciate pleasure. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks. Thanks for checking. Okay. No problem. So what I do right now is I go for the series of test right. Yes. It's like a circuit. Okay. Anyway, I've gone through the worst already. So the rest is not so bad. Yeah. Thanks Dr. Brian. No problem. Okay. So you come to RMG look for Dr. Brian. Very good. All other doctors so good. Yeah. We hold them to a certain standard. Of course. Yeah. Then you go to RMG. Okay. But thanks Dr. Right. No problem. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. Thank you. - 20:30 - 21:00 super comprehensive, man. I never been through this counting. Check every single risk factor I have. Even got my prostate check and found that I got enlarged prostate. Uh which is a point of concern. But you know, I think we all better do that right now. Now I going to go through a series of tests just waiting for the nurse to call me. Yes. Yes. What am I supposed to do now? Blood test. Blood test. Ouch.
- 21:00 - 21:30 This part. Okay. I'm so Okay. Yeah. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. I cannot film. So I got five vows of I just got five vows of blood being collected. Thank you for watching. you know um this uh this health check make me eye open by I think better do better do okay um you never know what you can 50 years
- 22:00 - 22:30 old yeah this this one is by far the most professional one I never seen this kind of a professional check it's like coming to a hotel very nice uh environment nice doctor nice nurse Okay, well explained. I I I just I just worry it cost a bomb which be going to tell me how much. Like a hotel breakfast. It's a hotel breakfast. [Music] Oh, steam chawa mushi.
- 22:30 - 23:00 Wow. Okay. Oh, not much food left, but they got chong. I think we are late. That's why. Yeah, wake up late. Okay. Oh, it's a free fruit. What is it? Wongi se. Very good, man. Free fruit. Oh, this it's like first class treatment, man. It's like a hotel. Wonderful. Number

Yeah, that's easy. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, where do I do next? Next would be the ultrasound and the X-ray. So, my colleague will bring you over to the radiology department. So, once you finish your
- 23:30 - 24:00 ultrasound, X-ray, you're good for the day already. Ultrasound and X-ray. Okay. Correct. The ultrasound is the one that you need to test. Who bladder? Okay. Two bladder. Now not now as in later when you uh later when they bring you over for registration then you start drinking water. Okay. Yeah. All right. Let's go. Full bladder ultrasound. Okay. So uh my name has Hello. Yes. Yes. Not the not the ultrasound.
- 24:00 - 24:30 Not okay. Bye. I think I only take 1 minute. That's it. Damn fast, man. Okay, 1 minute. I'm done. This feels like hotel. Wow. So nice. Wow. Oh, look. Wow. Look at this view, man. Super super
- 24:30 - 25:00 nice. Heat. Heat. [Music]
- 25:00 - 25:30 You're done. Done. So they did an ultrasound. Uh so I drink a lot of water. Then the whole bladder expanded I suppose. Then they did ultrasound. Press press rest press. Yeah. Very fast. Yeah. Press press. Scan press scan. I can see my prostate. I can see my bladder. I can see everything. What kind of scan? What kind of skin is It's ultrasound like like remember that time you my leg
- 25:30 - 26:00 injure your leg that kind of thing. Yeah. So you can see quite a bit of things like I don't know whether what the looks good everything is but I think everything looks good now and we are done for the day. So actually it doesn't take a long time take about 1 hour plus actually the most of the time is actually the consultation doctor cuz the doctor was very nice. Yeah, I know I asked a question because I'll get my money's worth, right? So, but um but I think everybody should come here, man. It's
- 26:00 - 26:30 a hotel like environment. People are nice. Process is fast. They even got food. The treatment is good, you know. I just very keen to find out. B, are you going to tell me how much it cost? So, this is the moment of truth. B, are you going to tell tell me how much it cost now that I finish the whole thing? 498. Ah, 498. Yes. Everything in good experience, right? But the service here top notch. Never in my whole executive
- 26:30 - 27:00 life of Singtell that time uh never had such wonderful experience. So um this is actually they they actually have this for like a father's day and mother's day special. Okay. Then uh the other thing what actually capture us there's actually a tea set. What what tea set like high tea set high? Yeah. So they after I think after all this we're going to email to us the um for us to collect. Yes. Somewhere or
- 27:00 - 27:30 something like that. I can't remember. Can eat one. Yeah. Like high tea you know. Oh really? That's why you pick this one. Yes. In a way. But let's say fathers want high tea because recently I put to be hide. She purposely can pick high key set so I become more. Now you all believe that it's caused by her not caused by me. I'm actually not like that. You want to go for a movie? I don't mind. I haven't gone for movie for years, man. Four. But they only have four kids. We got five. We got three kids. We need five. But but
- 27:30 - 28:00 they not free. Just both of us go two times. I don't know what's the recent movie. I don't know. Wait. Okay. So, wait. You can get free tickets or high teet set. High tet set looks good. I look at it. It looks very very nice. Okay. Yeah. Oh, not bad. So, the experience is wonderful. You all want the link. I go and find. You're supposed to download the app to do it. Which kid? Do download and and the app is actually very good. And uh I was told that the app can even let you have um what the
- 28:00 - 28:30 nurse just say just now can let you have a a doctor on call. That means you can do teley consultation 24 by7 and we know we need that right. I can find the app and show you.
