            • 00:00 - 00:30 hey guys so this is a cumulative effort between me a few of my good friends and peers and also people from the mighty Omega info Discord server who have been sending me all these little skill squares we could not have made this without them um so I've assembled five people today uh including myself these people are also an Flair yo yo the threr hi and also uh Dana and Tao who couldn't be here today but here are their discords and everything so uh all
            • 00:30 - 01:00 five of us got together we ranked all of these skills based on their current Effectiveness in the current patch for September 2024 this may be outdated for the present day patch depending on when you watch this we're going to be explaining why everything is where it is in order from F to S tier if you want to skip to the very end for the finished tier list skip to this time stamp share it with your friends do whatever I don't care let's start with f tier so to start off kikosho has good range but not enough stun to keep him in the entire attack at once once initially hit it's
            • 01:00 - 01:30 not even true into itself you can't rotate it's essentially a free punish every time you use it cross counter counters are already pretty inconsistent but cross counter having low damage and horrible recovery time it's easily one of the worst counters in the game all right so lightning legs combo the tech initially with this right missing the final hit for a true combo on purpose as a true combo extender that no longer works cuz you can't rotate anymore so the skill essentially just does low damage and exchange for being
            • 01:30 - 02:00 easily punished making it really bad heart job it does low damage with the effect to ragd doll for about half a second the stall potential is not good enough to recover any stamina or health Sumo throw low damage doesn't down rag dolls and daes at five upgrades but because of the ragd doll the days will only take effect for a mere Moment by the time they get up looks pretty funny though ground smash is extremely slow extremely punishable it's easy to
            • 02:00 - 02:30 perfect block it can hit down people but that's like the only benefit it's good on a downstate build Russian sickle low damage doesn't bypass guard and the end destination of the animation is not good enough to set up for follow-up combos or hits then there's spiral Arrow which used to be very good for its high class window but since that's been lowered is now just a low damage high range attack no redeeming qualities and then there's Ken it has
            • 02:30 - 03:00 some stun in the initial part of the attack to help guarantee the second attack lands but it's it's very slow and easy to punish and the Damage really isn't good enough to make up for any of that and then there's Mida which has almost zero stun after hitting somebody and then while Landing it can usually result in you getting punished by m1's immediately after because of the low stun and it's only redeeming factors the running speed buff granted on hit that is literally it
            • 03:00 - 03:30 contrada counters are pretty bad typically but ones that knock back on hit are especially bad since they're not even as rewarding contrada fits in this category although it has a nice niche with its five upgrade effect draining stamina it doesn't mix well with car calaris as a kit because of it knocking back on the second hit of the attack you can't follow up with the skill at all so it can't be used to combo start at all it can only be used to finish Combos and there are better moves in the game that do more damage than this even with the five upgrade effect which gives a guaranteed dizzy on hit which sounds
            • 03:30 - 04:00 nice at first before you realize there are other combo finishers that can also do this rushing stomp dog [ __ ] worst of the worst looks cool but don't let its execution animation fool you it never got its 25% damage buff on down targets so it does middling damage as a combo Ender and a downstate move awful as a get off me tool due to its AOE hitting mainly in front of you instead of around you even at Max radius 1in counter now that the m1's stacking bug with this skill is fixed
            • 04:00 - 04:30 it's fallen into mediocrity and as a counter being mediocre among other counters makes it a horrible skill and at the top of f tier we have elbow blow since the Nerf that removed this skill's ability to True combo extend back when this was very meta the initial hit doesn't even have enough stun to land the second in an actual power edit so you're only Landing this if your opponent is blocking both hits in which case they will be guard broken but that won't happen very often and and the five
            • 04:30 - 05:00 upgrade effect of lowering opponent's defenses is nice but it only applies on the second hit and due to the unreliable nature of the skill you're not going to be applying this effect very often at all now we're moving on to D tier starting it off razor barrage a barrage that does bleed and can buypass block at five upgrades which is frankly worthless because you're getting to be using this mid combo anywho only just consider using this if you're going Razor's Edge surging fist while it's one of the
            • 05:00 - 05:30 best PVE skills in the game and one of my personal favorites for actual player combat it's a slow-moving projectile that's easily telegraphed and can be blocked so it rarely hits the percent damage that it deals is only ideal even when in Oni mode and it's otherwise simply okay also can be very easily voided by hitting the player with any form of damage during the animation canceling it completely has a niche effect at times where moving backwards while blocking the attack can do ridiculous amounts of drain but it's impossible to intentionally trigger this effect during a fight this H Bo [ __ ] sucks watch this
            • 05:30 - 06:00 [ __ ] all right so piercing wave this skill can be used for a very specific Tech that allows the user to do a combo extension although it's not true it can be completely negated by just blocking and against someone who doesn't know this you can use this to get free combos on them because it doesn't work on an informed victim right it's not foolproof as a skill lightning counter similar IL to kada but a tinge better has higher
            • 06:00 - 06:30 damage can take lightning flash off cool down which is nice at five upgrades currently bugged though making its recovery time twice as long sadly this skill suffers from one issue that being it is a counter all right Rising uppercut looks very cool does all right damage uh but there's already another flaming move that uppercuts and counts as a grab and does way more damage uh it's also very punishable on a miss and the class frames aren't as good as they use to be
            • 06:30 - 07:00 making this D tier all right Vanishing flat it used to be very strong on launch um but it's become all right as of right now due to several Nerfs it's not awful it's a hyper armor guard break which is cool uh good for muscles but for leans it's unreliable to to the now slow startup breaker pretty low damage for a down grapple better than crushing stop though the effect of increases stamina drain on
            • 07:00 - 07:30 block is situational and not relevant for most fights there are better options for Downstate attacks with five upgrades it debuffs the opponent's power gain by 30% for 10 whopping seconds which is such a minor effect this skill is useless in comparison to other down skills brute combo this used to be so good it's a hyper armor three hitting skill that guard breaks on the third hit which is cool so you consider it's one of the easiest perfect blocks in the game if you try to use it as a panic whiff tool
            • 07:30 - 08:00 but uh it does see some nice niche utility as a down attack because it has high damage but there are still better options than this skill and then of course uh the down options in question leg breaker slightly better damage than armbreaker with a slightly better effect of lowering running speed of those who are hit by it uh but not by a huge amount noticeable enough to make it good but with five upgrades it can disable Dash which is nice but it is useless whenever your
            • 08:00 - 08:30 opponent isn't downed you're also never Landing this if they have their roll cool down you have to work around it a lot running drop kick good Mobility for muscles with a nice hit box and range the damage is pretty mid and it has good turning speed and it Downs players when hit by the five upgrade effect which is nice for burning roll cool downs but there are a lot of better options for that dragonclaw used to be extremely meta when it was re released alongside with Kung Fu being able to True combo into an M1 reset the hit box of this move is is big and its end lag is very
            • 08:30 - 09:00 slow is very low so it's hard to punish it only serves as a safe move with the utility to down at low HP there are better safe moves in the game though all right and then we have gaku Gary which is you know very mediocre as a combo finisher but it's buffed by kyokushin karate it's just overall me followed by shho Zuki which is basically the same thing
            • 09:00 - 09:30 um it's very mediocre gets buffed by kyokushin it's only slightly higher on the list because it has a special effected drain power on hit which the amount is very insignificant so it's not very good for that either Hammer Burma has a pretty solid AOE and it can guard break it can even hit down players but it's decent damage lives it leaves it overall pretty mediocre as a down attack and it does a solid get off me tool flying sidekick not a great guard break it's got the range and the lunge
            • 09:30 - 10:00 and other attributes it's just lacking the effect States here that it's got a chance to reduce the target's overall speed chance of which and the amount is just not really known or calculated really so the effectiveness is kind of up in the air then you've got Justice beat down this it serves a nice niche for proing absolution a lot for several black flashes other than that it's a mediocre barage attack that's not even 100% true within itself Justice counter it's good in
            • 10:00 - 10:30 theory the counter that lasts 0.67 seconds while the recovery time is 0.6 meaning it's hard to punish on withi and if it lands has a built-in hit and a combo despite this it's still terrible because the hit Never Lands and the opponent will be far away from you leaving you unable to follow up on a punish also it's a it's a counter so it's ass razor Blitz pretty flashy move by all accounts it's actually pretty solid move which covers an AOE inflicts bleed and has a invincibility on Startup and a strange hit box which makes it difficult to guard making a sort of a reversal tool however main fault is the
            • 10:30 - 11:00 fact that it is more punishable than it used to be due to its high-end lag while also having its own bleed cool down making it hard to use in conjunction with other bleed moves Thunderclap pretty powerful ability for mikazuchi having eye frames at the beginning to help them and use it as a reversal tool and a pseudo raging blow can actually be even used as a powerful combo finisher like Sunfire it is however recently just got nerfed it's now blockable and it's barely usable holding F at the first sign of danger makes you complete immune to the attack monkey counter known as
            • 11:00 - 11:30 one of the best counters in the game for its high stat scaling and its ability to very easily combo start off of almost any attack it's also notoriously used to counter raging blow skill suffers from an issue though it is unfortunately a counter which severely lowers its reliability as a whiff which results in it being punished more but it is probably one of the easiest counters to level up due to its multiple hits built in out launch compact Half Moon came with a built-in lag switch but nowadays it's no okay stun skill that does decent damage and
            • 11:30 - 12:00 gives extra Rhythm at five upgrades there are better stuns in the game though then we've got high stick shot which it's a guard break with decent damage and it also has the utility to dizzy un hit and the strange effect to hit ragd doll targets but it hits them with reduced damage uh there are better guard breaks in the game so it comes in at the bottom of c and then there's fluid strikes the calaris skill it used to do really high damage it was really
            • 12:00 - 12:30 fast too on launch but you know now it's been nerfed significantly weaker significantly slower and it serves as like a mediocre get off me tool for calaris builds almost exclusively then there's psycho Crush which used to have very high range and clashing clashing frames so it was like a really nice poke um they've since been lowered it can still guard break and it deals okay damage it's not a horrible skill
            • 12:30 - 13:00 overall but there are skills that do what it does much better Criminal upper the damage is all right it's completely unusable for leans but it has the utility to be set up for possible combo extensions for muscle builds there's gazelle punch right which has very high Clash frames but no eye frames it's not Invincible uh this is usually used as a poke for boxing builds but it's since been power crept by a lot of other high-range skills that have ey frames leaving it in mediocrity suppress sh RP
            • 13:00 - 13:30 the skill used to be extremely meta but after a bunch of Nerfs it's very slow and its damage is lower than it used to it can still be used as a surprise guard break and has nice glass frames it also serves as kind of a counter effect to raging blow but it's since been power crapped by a lot of newer skills yoga flame so it does better percent damage than surging fist if every single part of it hits and it actually has enough stun to keep the victim inside the attack for the whole duration it's especially effective on muscle builds
            • 13:30 - 14:00 because of their High stun but the nature of the skill is very awkward kind of hard to use weave okay this is a complicated one to talk about I'd recommend you skip ahead if you don't care about this one weave is a skill that was the very first counter introduced into the game with aall and as such it is probably the most tame and middle encounter in the game without Max upgrades however this is with five upgrades we're talking about this thing gets the ability to give you half of your Rhythm back bonus damage on your next skill Hales its cool down which can go below the 20 second
            • 14:00 - 14:30 cool down cap gives more stamina back than it takes takes two of your aball skills off cool down and lastly the biggest thing it changes three of Abal skills into upgraded variants for the next 9 seconds these skills will be talked about right now Ultra combination a souped up six hit combo that took every steroid in the book and Juiced it into a blender including the book this thing does massive amounts of damage and is a direct upgrade to jilt combo every hit in the six hit chain is a guard break in the event you use it raw or the the enemy walks out and tries to block s
            • 14:30 - 15:00 tier jaw splitter I feel like jawbreaker couldn't handle the loneliness of not being a stun skill anymore nor a true reset without jab rush so it proceeded to ditch its symbiotic relationship in pursuit of becoming something better all by itself not much to be said about this powerful M1 reset that can hit like a godamn truck will absolutely be your go-to after landing a weave in 3 m1's into the hyper drol combo s tier Ultram man punch makes Superman punch actually usable by turning it into the very first non-clan exclusive teleporting Dash
            • 15:00 - 15:30 which is blockable but ragd dolls for a second upon Landing nothing much to it other than it boasts the highest damage out of all teleporting dashes in the game and it also covers a pretty good distance too it loses the ability to down low HP targets though so keep that in mind move is great but It suffers from the fact that you have to run Superman punch a skill which I consider not really useful and is difficult to use by itself so having to keep this skill in my back pocket for the luxury of a Teleport Dash which only lasts 9 seconds on a good day when most of the time will have been shwed up by doing a
            • 15:30 - 16:00 jaw splitter hypo drro combo means I will have to almost certainly be using this skill right after I use all other three of them in a row like I'm a goddamn crackhead doesn't sound ideal for a slow style a weave in addendum now as great as all these benefits sound One Core issue trying to use weave in a pure aw build is a genuine chore you have to land the dang thing in a fight and it's not really a huge problem in and of itself but it's a counter and Landing a en counter in a fight mainly endgame
            • 16:00 - 16:30 fights are very difficult because they're fast-paced little to nothing has wind up in it and very little end lag respectively so it makes weave by extension Abal struggle a lot in the late game the best you can do is try to predict them which can be difficult due to weave having a lowering Collision box making certain moves miss that otherwise wouldn't on other counters which isn't really ideal however it's a problem because weave has changed since it first came out and launch and it has changed in now the
            • 16:30 - 17:00 Buffs it's been given are great and I absolutely love them but you have to keep in mind weave is a very difficult thing to work so do keep that in mind if you're really wanting to run a pure ABW if you're not ABW don't run weave it's a pain to get five upgrades but believe me it is a genuine benefit with all of the other benefits that it comes with in bundled especially since it is the single counter that gets the most amount of upgrades out of any in the entire game c tier triple strike right has high wind up and decent damage but the stun is sometimes just high enough to do a
            • 17:00 - 17:30 combo extension but because of the finicky and unreliable nature of this skill yeah it's it's got high potential but it's got to be right in the middle of the tier list for me and then there's thrilling cut right the skill is hard to hit and it has highend lag but it has good damage it has no hyper armor though so it loses to other skills in The Clash um and it can really used as a combo finisher because of the bad base stats
            • 17:30 - 18:00 of the skill 360 round it deals high damage on a very highly telegraphed attack but it seems lacking in most areas the effect at five upgrades prevents it from being parryable which is a nice effect to mitigate the high Telegraph the attack can still be dodged though however serves a nice niche as a true hit combo finisher for muscle build dealing good damage and then of course there's Manta slash right so this is a nice AOE attack it's very safe and Deals good damage
            • 18:00 - 18:30 because of its extremely low end lag and fast animation you can throw this out and then Dash away right after on a miss and you'll be fine most of the time though not always JT combination a good old classic 123 nothing outrageous to be said about this other than it's best used as an Ender rather than something to throw out due to its high-end damage and tography making it easier to PB the last hit as hyper armor though so you can get a bit of leeway if you panic and try to use it as a safe move yamatsuki
            • 18:30 - 19:00 right a generic guard break with a slight lunge attributing to slightly higher range with decent Clash frames not bad right and it even reduces the target's power on hit which is a very minor effect but it can end your opponent's modes faster or prevent them from ever getting it which is cool White Fang surprisingly good combo Ender both hits add up to pretty high damage and with the added effect of Guard breaking on the last hit which typically wouldn't apply often but the speed of the attack it to be more often catching people who
            • 19:00 - 19:30 might guard if it's not true kick flurry as a pure skill of Taekwondo it deals good damage if it if every hit lands but if you miss a kick mid attack it's not true anymore accidentally on a whiff it's extremely punishable though that usually shouldn't be an issue because they should only be used as a combo extender but if they do slip out you're going to get punished jawbreaker an all right stun skill by all means however due to its in neatly low based range and range scaling it makes it difficult to use as a poke or combo starter used to be really good back in the day to due to its high stun and it would be used
            • 19:30 - 20:00 alongside jab Rush when it could you know reset m1s into a true combo God I hate it those times the move now finds itself being a mediocre stun skill that you're better off using in m1's to add extra damage to your combos which thanks to its recent damage buff is somewhat viable and is no longer purely outclassed by other stun skills just be careful not to edit it too poorly in terms of damage due to it having the lowest minimum stun possible and while not much it does inflict dizzy at five upgrades do what you will with this a I've been using this recently it's a

            • 20:30 - 21:00 be used during a panic to swat your opponent away and it can be used as a high damage combo Ender and the third hit can even guard break which is pretty realistic given the speed of the attack also has a pretty low end lag making it difficult to punish on a whiff all right now going into B tier striking BS this is a pretty classic stun move for muscle builds and one of the essential skills to make a pure Sumo build because muscle builds don't usually rely on stuns though it's kind of an an awkward place for muscle builds blast core as a guard break with damage that's buff by both M muscle control and kin karate it sees
            • 21:00 - 21:30 some use in on some unusual build while the buff is given by muscle control it's pretty mediocre and the scaling on muscle damage partially takes up for it the skill's true potential is brought out by using kin karate which it deals pretty solid damage we've got flying te now this has nice range and pretty good Linger on an ability that puts stamina drain on Paws which is good right but because it doesn't drain it doesn't fight for the same utility as a chest thrust or a liver blow but it's something entirely different right and that stamina pause timer is 2 seconds at
            • 21:30 - 22:00 zero upgrades but 4 seconds at five upgrades and then you've got jab Rush this ability a year ago would have been s tier it has fallen from Grace as one of the best skills in game now functions as additional damage after a stun uh making generic stuns deal higher damage if you land it uh it's unable to True combo like it previously could even with flash Jabs bajin has high range High frames and can even guard break which is a very very nice combination of attributes damage is pretty low but it
            • 22:00 - 22:30 has a very solid utility of disabling Dash and debuffing Mobility under 60% unlean targets 25% of their muscle speed of the skill comes out as fast so that it's able to be landed after a fourth M1 granted you've got enough strike speed body slam used to be one of the best grabs in the game but it's now out class it's saw use very frequently as a high damage grapple for muscle builds but it slowly got power CRA by new grapples that have better utilities it gives a strange effect to give a huge
            • 22:30 - 23:00 Rhythm gain when used on a target with mode activated but that's not very important or influential during fights then we've got the overhead counter right pure boxing skill it deals high damage has good stun but it does very little outside of that you know due to the wind up of the attack it's a stun that can't be used to combo start it can only be used to combo finish or extend and it's lost its ability to synergize well with jab Rush due to all the Nerfs that skill took so the skill isn't as
            • 23:00 - 23:30 useful as it used to be it does have hyper armor at the start of the move which is nice to help to land it in neutral but there are way better skills in the game then there's Mountain breaker a high damage combo finisher for kir builds it's also pretty easy to land in neutral due to high range and hyper armor making it a safe move akin to tiger hunt but better the only difference is this likely deals way more damage it also has the interesting ability to deal additional damage to
            • 23:30 - 24:00 muscle builds Jaguar bomb pretty strange but effective ability it's a grab but it doesn't bypass block when landed but it deals pretty good damage and you can do things like shoot takedown right after and this works on big enemies like Santa or [ __ ] globo gym guy piercing elbow this was actually nerfed last patch believe it or not it's a high damage ability with knockback mainly used for The Clash frames they just got lowered though and has an ability similar to high kick where it can chip through
            • 24:00 - 24:30 block at five upgrades but the damage scaling on this skill is higher Superman punch a mediocre skill turned good into dare I say mid well the lunge is useful and the unique ragd doll effect is cool there isn't much that can be done or said to get up or trying to land an M1 combo it's pretty difficult thanks to the fixed lunch though it does inflict down state at 80 rather than it's used to be 50 so it has some Synergy with crushing stomp that's just looking exclusively at it with Abal though it's
            • 24:30 - 25:00 got some decent Synergy with other downstate inflicting skills being that it down States is not exclusive to Abal which can lead to some very evil chants high kick a high damage stun that's more used for the damage aspect than any of the stun but because of this it doesn't count as a stun for the sake of stun Decay so it can be ran alongside other skills to have multiple stuns that are full power getting five upgrades allows it to chip through block and with karate solid strike gives it the ability to do a additional damage heal thrust
            • 25:00 - 25:30 this is a very good poke it's rotatable and knocks back and it does good damage it's pretty reliable for follow-up attacks after an M1 combo to and with its five upgrade effect with Taekwondo as the primary it will reduce the target stamina regen which is a small effect that contributes to the skill's usefulness and then we've got leaping monkey this is a very interesting stun right it's got two charges that can't be used consecutively right only with five upgrades with capora of course uh it's
            • 25:30 - 26:00 got good stun and damage and it has a chance to inflict dizzy on Hit And if that second leaping monkey charge lands it puts players into the down state which is a really nice utility and then we have question mark kick right so this is the highest range stun in the game easily and has nice damage and the powerful ability to guard bypass as a stun which is very unique and like I said
            • 26:00 - 26:30 super strong cork screw cork screw is a guard break that's been buffed a lot recently in its current state it deals good damage comes out really fast and have some good range and pairs with lever below pretty well cork screw deals 25% additional damage on a target with 60% or less stamina putting the damage higher than most guard breaks in the game The Frame data on this skill still leaves a lot to be desired though so the skill isn't perfect chest thrust so this is a nice skill it pushes the opponent
