Monaco to Madrid on Verge TS Pro | 1366KM in 1 Day! ⚡🏍️ Transcription
- 00:00 - 00:30 from Monaco to Madrid over 1,000 km in Just 2 days on a single electric motorcycle we put the Verge TS Pro to the test pushing its range and durability across Mountain Roads highways and everything in between with multiple rapid charging stops along the way did it conquer the journey let's go so here's the team we have Spencer Luca and me right here um me and Luca arrived last night look at that
- 00:30 - 01:00 in the morning we went for a little [Music] walk and then Spencer of course took the bike out for a ride in the F1 [Music] track the regular bike we haven't modified it at all we're going to show you all the trials and tribulations of what a long-distance Journey would be like with an electric vehicle we don't know how it's going to go [Music]
- 01:00 - 01:30 quick stop we're filling up the air on the tires to make sure we're good to go how was the first 8 minutes 10 [Music] minutes first charging spot how was the ride easy R set up boom straight to 21.1 let's go Troy
- 01:30 - 02:00 is all geared up let's go ready for the next stop after 20 minutes break or ready for the next 111 km all right off he goes see you guys it's 18 minutes 18 minutes this was my first time actually seeing the and like from a mountain
- 02:00 - 02:30 going down and you actually got like 10 km more of range let's go and have some lunch so we just leave it here let it charge and we continue your turn next Luka you are about to jump into the bike what are your initial thoughts what are you most excited about it what are you nervous about it uh obviously everything actually everything because it's going to be the first time on an electric bike on a bigger one this one is going to be yeah quite exciting Lucas first ride
- 02:30 - 03:00 100 km later how was it awesome man awesome what are your thoughts man very smooth very silent very comfortable good yes let's go let's charge her up and keep them going amazing so we just basically finish finished the first shifts of driving and now we're going to uh start again the next shifts we hope to be somewhere either close to Barcelona or in the outsides of Barcelona and just sleep there and then we will continue from from there
- 03:00 - 03:30 tomorrow all the way to Madrid there we go Spencer took out the red jacket which means it's getting colder here we are at our first Tesla Supercharger it said 50 more minutes and we're in Spain so we've just topped up at this Tesla V4 charger it's a 99% we're here it's arrived again 15 km something a little more I think and how was rden in the night it was it was okay it was nice Vibe felt
- 03:30 - 04:00 illuminated I didn't yes we're at the final stop we're going to stop here we're in Jona uh we're at the Ibis Hotel so we're going to leave it we've today covered like 500 something K 580 I think something like that tomorrow we have 730 to cover but we'll get a earlier start it's been really good the Rhythm we have works well Bike Works completely well there's no no issue at all we're already in Spain which is good tomorrow we head to Madrid good night good morning from the mobile HQ yeah true mobile HQ we're
- 04:00 - 04:30 going to go drop Luca off at the bike he's going to start the morning driving we're going to drive at least past Barcelona and then plug it in there but we're looking at 750 is kilm today this is how we do it says that there is still 35 km to be able to make it to the next first charge yeah first charge ex first charge of the day true hope that the weather gets a little bit warmer it's kind of cold it's like 9 cels Scenic roots yeah good job man over
- 04:30 - 05:00 45% over 45 left 45% 40 45 nice so 120 130 range perfect so we just and we just did like 130 km for us coming from Finland driving past Monaco France then Spain every place has different providers so we've had to figure out some have been super nice and easy just you come tap and that's it and you can use it and with some you have to download the app put your home address put everything um it's it's kind of
- 05:00 - 05:30 annoying sometimes but it works soon as we get it charging it's good nope nope well uh there is there are two more chargers right there there's Burger King and then there's a gas station that both have Chargers so I guess we'll try those the reality is that Spencer just didn't want it to work so that we could go to Burger King right I'm on a diet no the problem is with the coding um CCS happens with languages excuse my lack of professional terminology but it's about communication so some
- 05:30 - 06:00 companies and some appliances have certain Communications but it's one it's not all one single language so sometimes you just got to find one that speaks your language so it's not our bike yeah it's the charging it's a charging infrastructure which yes those an EV know all right so let's see take two the bike looking good as always let's see how good the Charger looks drum roll oh it say it's charging
- 06:00 - 06:30 hey we go let's go working now we Chang mozzarella bites from Burger King that's his diet the other nice thing about a trip like this uh where we have to charge many times in many different providers is that we get really good charging data for our R&D team they can make sure to to better those connections so this is what happens we usually have our little meeting point we check where's the next Charger 15 km yeah Easy 115 km sounds luk I said easy easy work the bike is ready to go GPS says that
- 06:30 - 07:00 it's it would be 599 km to our final destination which means that we're already past the halfway point this is how we communicate we want to know if it's driving at 100 km per hour yep perfect good here we go again about the charging infrastructure we had to get out of the highway into a small random town where there's a gas station where there will be a charger like the gas stations on the highway don't have Chargers but here we are this place we
- 07:00 - 07:30 had to download an app it's taking some time to get it downloaded but hopefully it works come on off finished ah thank God there is another charger right there I'm going to start figuring out how what app we need to download for this one yep let's see let's try our lock
- 07:30 - 08:00 this time oh sounding good nice yeah hey now we're going to keep on riding we got the battery charged up um we're going to go for another 120 km and stop for lunch yeah hopefully we have nice scenery safe right see you guys see you so this bike has four different ride modes it has the range mode which I have right now on and it's the one that we're using the most because we want to get furthest then we do have also Zen mode and I don't know maybe with this you can
- 08:00 - 08:30 see it but right there there's a black button and I can change from there the ride mode um now I'm in send mode and send mode activates a little bit more the region and also gives you a little bit more power so the Tor get set higher um and the region also so it will break a little bit and it also gives you of course all the power you need to be able to pass cars or you know Corner a little bit more so we've just pulled up at the charge stop
- 08:30 - 09:00 18.4 KW so where are we going next it's 109 km pretty much that's what we're at for the battery is fully charged see see then the next mode that we have beast mode so I'll click in and you just notice there boom it made me stop completely so the region is activated really highly uh and the torque is also the maximum mimics engine braking in a really good way um the region is dynamic
- 09:00 - 09:30 so depending on what's the speed you're driving in it activates A Little Bit Stronger this beast mode has the power um so it's this is the this is the fun one it's more for that sporty type of driving but yeah this is this is kind of like the kick you get with it yeah oh it's always exciting okay then the next mode we have is the custom mode and in the custom one you can change the T level the traction control
- 09:30 - 10:00 and the regen level as well so that's that gives you the flexibility to really change it at how you like this bike to work for you how are we doing I was all right that was really nice yeah that was so nice so much Mountain but this thing does so good with the mountain the regen I love it awesome I I was driving cruise control 103 the whole time and then sometimes I was like well I have enough power I could just keep on going so switched up to repo again let's see this
- 10:00 - 10:30 time it worked bike's charging layering up all the layers but the next one is uh 101 km after that one it's another 111 km and we are at the airport where we would pick up the other bikes and then we have like made it made [Music] it so h we feeling my right hand is cold
- 10:30 - 11:00 however absolutely great we went a bit faster that time uh a lots like toy said before when you're coming downhill and you like tweak the regen you you actually gain miles back it charges it's chares it's so nice it's crazy the bike is charged it's this is going to be our last charge before entering Madrid we it feels like we're there it feels like we've made it almost there you have the last drive and then we're in Madrid it's
- 11:00 - 11:30 3° it's cold we got to be careful yeah we got to be careful heated hand grips are going to be in use big time so we're getting into Madrid um so we basically I don't know where the Madrid limit goes but I feel like we've kind of like made it I think so too Spencer is driving right behind us uh and he's having a good vibe he has good music on and we're heading towards the airport we already see all the signs almost there he good job made it man that was like a
- 11:30 - 12:00 really good session too good good awesome I'm like really good Spencer good job you killed it you destroyed the cold easy yeah same same again real smooth thir I think we land ended up again with 30% so we're doing really well on the economy stuff people might be wondering why we're only doing 100 km but we're being conservative cuz we do get caught out then we get CAU out so um yeah I think we could have done it a lot faster thinking about it now however we've now proved that you can do it y it
- 12:00 - 12:30 takes a while you can do it we've documented the sort of trials and tribulations with different charging stations that's not down to us that's down to the charging stations but quite surprising I think you guys would agree there were actually quite a lot of options there's never a spot that didn't have a fast charger a slow charger and Chad Mo whoever uses chadmoore it's very much a growing thing there's no [Music]
