Expressions of surprise and confusion are prevalent as something shocking occurs, leading to individuals yelling and performing actions out of impulse, such as running around frantically. Amidst the chaos, there are musical interludes that add to the atmosphere. The reactions range from exclamations of disbelief to humorous and energetic physical responses, capturing the spontaneous and visceral emotions elicited during high-stakes or unexpected segments in a gaming context.
- 50:30 - 87:00: Age of Empires 4 Deep Dive This chapter provides an enthusiastic and energetic transcript of a session focused on exploring 'Age of Empires 4,' likely a video game. The speaker(s) express excitement over the game's historical accuracy and detailed gameplay. The transcript features reactions to events happening within the game, such as a character being sniped or 'ragdolling' (a gaming term referring to a character falling or collapsing in a limp manner). - 01:30 - 02:00 it wow oh my [Music] god wow i really want to play this game like that's how a trailer should be that's how you make trailers right there yeah that is how Keep it going keep it
- 02:00 - 02:30 going keep it going it's not over look how much time's left on it it's definitely going to keep going what do they got i might be looking for treasure but I've already seen your mom's treasure i did not know that was going to be there oh my god oh my goodness wow they threw a sneaker in the back dude that's awesome
- 02:30 - 03:00 oh that was funny that was great i want to play that game did you see the price i do no I didn't actually what was it free free free free to play you know what's crazy is there was probably pirates that actually saw deaths like that yeah I think there's probably more body parts left after they got shot with a cannonball but true i think it was the pig death that game
- 03:00 - 03:30 looks awesome dude that That's a game that looks like it'd be really fun to get on with your buddies and slam a six-pack and just play that game dude just just like not take it serious at all you know what I mean like that's like not take it serious game no you I it wouldn't be fun taking it serious on that game but the the the parts where he's just walking across the deck slugging back some whatever rum or something and then he's just disappears

- 04:00 - 04:30 hilarious." I only watched like 10 seconds of the trailer i was like "Oh yeah." I didn't want to ruin it but I was like "This game looks amazing." Like Like in the first clip I heard the word [ __ ] and I was like "Oh yeah yep this is going to be a good trailer." I like that they just said "You know what we're just going to play and have fun." And that's going to be the trailer yeah yeah that's exactly how you need to do it right like if you're going to Oh so much fun um
- 04:30 - 05:00 um that looks that looks like a blast that I would love to play sometime like just get some folks that don't know anything about it get them on there and when they get you know listen to them turned into Pink Mist yeah just listen to them scream yeah I think you're exactly right on that just hilariousness could ensue for sure on that um you know what's that game we've been playing age of Empires 4 it's not a new game by
- 05:00 - 05:30 any means right but it is um free on Game Pass right age of Empires 4 um Oops I got volume going here um that is a hell of a fun game for those of you into that style of game like I like I don't know what what do you call like a Civilization style game it's based It's
- 05:30 - 06:00 basically Civilization but it's revolving around war yeah chuck us a trailer on or something let's check it out yeah let's check out a little trailer here for Age of Empires 4 and this like I said this game's not new right it's like well it says October 28th of 2021 so you know it's it's pretty old three and a half years old but it just dropped on Game Pass right that's where it just dropped on Game Pass so yes it's it's worth it's worth
- 06:00 - 06:30 playing because because of that so I highly recommend picking it up we've been playing it in between doing other things and and laughing our asses off through the whole thing so um stream is up official trailer full screen that [ __ ] hell yeah definitely not quite as many laughs in this game as in Black Wake apparently
- 06:30 - 07:00 but no but it is very entertaining way more strategy involved right absolutely these guys build way better bases than I build he [Music] said it's all good
- 07:00 - 07:30 [Applause] but um this isn't like an ex this isn't even exaggeration on what the gameplay looks like no it really isn't i mean yeah the units might be a little hardcore there but those look like actual gameplay footage possibly let me see if there is a uh I believe there's a gameplay trailer here so
- 07:30 - 08:00 people can kind of understand official gameplay trailer what they're getting into here yeah and if you guys like any of the strategy style games like I don't know the first one that I really played I guess would have been what's what's the Sid Myers Pirates or something is that a strategy one yeah but that's more like a little bit different right um
- 08:00 - 08:30 what's the first Sid Myers one that came out like this i can't remember what it's called um it might just be Civilization but I think it could be uh so playing like way back then like the gameplay never changed like oh no the game I'm thinking of is is Warcraft original Warcraft um Gotcha and obviously World of Warcraft is completely different than Warcraft but if you played Warcraft back in the day
- 08:30 - 09:00 an old school gamer playing Warcraft then you'll definitely appreciate this game very very similar um it's about p is paced about the same as Warcraft 2 so it's it's pretty fun for sure and it's fun because there's a lot of different scenarios that um require different strategies so you know you can spend a lot of time playing the same map and it will still be fun but there's also a huge selection of maps that you can change the size of uh I believe
- 09:00 - 09:30 there's a a seed generator so you can get random gen maps as well and um you can change your starting nation right so your units are different and your buildings and stuff are different and create different things and do different things so um and some units are really good like in the starting ages and some units are or some nations are better in the later ages so it's kind of cool
- 09:30 - 10:00 [Music] i uh I definitely like the pacing of this game because if you've ever played Civilization when it comes to like the big events in the game it usually takes a long time in here it's it's pretty fast it's a lot faster paced um you're not going to have a ton of downtime before it's like "Hey I need to start building a a army just so I don't get crushed." No it's it's and there's multiple ways
- 10:00 - 10:30 to win it's not just you know world domination like of course that's how we usually play is try to get world domination but but you know we'll we like there's a couple of ways like you can hold what are they called um sacred uh sites yeah like a sacred religious site or something um you you we just go and hold one so they can't win by religious sites and then crush them through world domination basically is how we win the game but or you can
- 10:30 - 11:00 build the uh the wonders mhm and if you can successfully defend because if you build a world wonder and you're they're instantly going to send as many troops as possible at it and it's going to be really difficult but if you can survive and successfully build it and and keep it uh intact you win [Music] well they're doing a full on raid here i didn't know English i don't know if that is the English i
- 11:00 - 11:30 think that's not Yeah yeah okay gotcha i know the Indians get them um so obviously as you can see like there's different nations that have different perks right the Indians get the elephants uh the British start out with like long bowman uh which is really good they have they have some really good early game units so if you want to attack early on English is amazing if you go with that route which is what I usually go to i try to get to it in in era 2 or three um and start my first wave of attack in that era
- 11:30 - 12:00 before anyone really has the time to build big defenses um what's the other one you you were playing the Holy Roman Empire i could get some really good uh like horse horse stuff right yeah so not through that this one's a Chinese Mong Mongols that's what I was playing earlier you were asking me i was playing Mongolians and they they are really good actually really really um yeah Age of Empires 4 i've I'm really
- 12:00 - 12:30 enjoying it i think Age of Empires 2 may be a little bit more technical i would agree with that yeah and I Age of Empires 4 is still really fun i enjoy it um especially if you're on console they've made it they've made it easier because I know those types of games are really you have the advantage on PC cuz you have a lot more auto automation options on there normally but um yeah they they integrated it console
- 12:30 - 13:00 pretty well it's the opposite of this game right we noticed cuz I was playing on PC you were on console it's crossplay so like you're like just push this thing to I'm like dude that don't exist for me and then I had to Google it and it doesn't exist for me because they simplified a lot of how um like your basic units your villagers work on console versus PC even though you still play together they they can set their stuff to do like what
- 13:00 - 13:30 would you say like general tasks and they just go do it oh yeah you have basically a wheel and you can it's a it's a wheel of preset ways that um you can build your economy so you can have it on like basic which is they kind of gather a little bit of everything with more emphasis towards like wood and food to grow your population and then they also you have like economic presets where they just gather food and uh gold because they they sell you can sell the food for a
- 13:30 - 14:00 lot of money um and then there's all kinds of presets so you can have you can really micromanage your villagers through that wheel alone whereas on PC you don't have that wheel you have to individually put your guys doing whatever you want them to do which isn't that hard to do because you can click and drag with a mouse pretty quick but it is there is some differences where they've helped console kind of keep up with PC I guess is the right way to say it make it more competitive yeah and I don't know what the online
- 14:00 - 14:30 scene looks like on there i have a feeling if I were to play against real folks on online I would instantly get smashed yep smashed so I'm not I'm not brave enough to try the online world of Age of Empires just yet but um it's been a lot of fun you can have up to eight people in a server on there so you can do you know 4v4 against your friends or you know four of your friends team up against four AI and I'm going to tell you right now just the second difficulty
- 14:30 - 15:00 alone the intermediate like I played a lot of Civ games and stuff in the past i wouldn't say I'm any I'm a pro or anything but I I at least have a basic understanding of the game the intermediate is tough i And there's like five more difficulties after that i couldn't imagine what they look like wow yeah no like I was playing on intermediate earlier and it's like a good skill level for me because I'm not guaranteed to win you know yeah and maybe once I learn how the cuz I only
- 15:00 - 15:30 have a few games under my belt right but maybe when I figure out what each unit does a little bit better and how to make the guys do what I want them to do a little bit easier I think I'll probably be able to have a guaranteed win on intermediate but until then not only that there's a mod section in that game there is so you can play mod modded game lobbies with your friends mhm and you can up the villager count you can up the resource count you can do all kinds of stuff it's pretty cool that is something
- 15:30 - 16:00 that would be really fun to play is just having more units like I think Yeah cuz what you're capped at 200 right population 200 and and that's including military right right and then so but not every unit is worth one either i noticed some units cost more than one population to produce so having I think up to 300 would make it way more intense way more intense and then the
- 16:00 - 16:30 other thing about that too is if you have two armies of 300 clash that loss is going to be way more dramatic for that other for the losing team you know versus um cuz that's a lot more to rebuild every time like if if you were to drop it down to like 100 then you just throw wave after wave of guys at the enemy and you wouldn't really care cuz it doesn't take much to get it rebuilt but at 300 that would be insane like you'd be quite a bit of time and quite a bit of resources into rebuilding
- 16:30 - 17:00 again so I think that that actually would make the game more more strategic even though you'd have larger armies and you could throw giant waves of of bad of guys at bad guys but just you have a lot more to lose yeah to lose that would be would be gosh that'd be rough just thinking about it um that game's been a whole lot of fun and we just kind of got into that recently right like that's kind of our first first like consider us noobs at the game not full noobs because we've played
- 17:00 - 17:30 games like this before but um that's just kind of like our first impressions of the game and I do see a lot of replay value here as well especially if you're into that game um did you ever play this may be a little too old for you um Halo Wars i I did play it on 360 um but it was so long ago I don't remember how how great it was i know I know a lot of
- 17:30 - 18:00 people favor Halo the first Halo Wars over the Halo Wars 2 mhm um Absolutely and and when I played it I was still a kid i didn't really understand the in-depth knowledge for that game but I thought it was cool cuz I loved Halo yeah and that I think that's where the biggest lure was it i wouldn't say that it was a a staple in the strategy games you know like not like Halo was to first person shooters not even close but it it
- 18:00 - 18:30 was still fun but it was way more arcadey and it it actually made it fun because it was so arcadey you just kind of Mhm just hammered in there and went hard but I did play that multiplayer and I did pretty well on that game actually but you also kind of reminds me of like uh Toy Soldiers yeah that that's kind of like you know it's 360 days so you weren't like throwing like massively complicated [ __ ] out you know like it just that kind of stuff didn't exist on the 360 so um
- 18:30 - 19:00 but really really fun game to play and this game kind of takes that game multiplies it by more obviously without the Halo and it's the same type of game right they're all kind of the same um Command and Conquer same type of deal um I played Command and Conquer way back in the day that I know of Command and Conquer i know that game but I've never played it i know a lot of folks really love it that's another big cult following game you know where people still play the old
- 19:00 - 19:30 ones to this day yeah those are mad fun so believe it or not one of the guy that I I I work for once in a while just help him out at a shop he's like pushing 65 right the dude's like he plays games i mean everybody plays games nowadays I guess but he was talking about he's like "You ever played Command of Conquer?" I'm like "Oh yeah i played Commander Conquer." And he's he got to thinking about it he's like "How old were you when you were playing Command of Conquer?" I'm like "I don't know six."
- 19:30 - 20:00 He's like "Yeah that sounds about right." So I don't know exactly what year that came out but I remember it being a hella old game back in the day and it was really ahead of its time and it did really really well at least the first one and there was one called like Command and Conquer Red something red Alert or something red Alert i think it was on the 360 as well of course i remember seeing people playing that game yeah command and Conquer Red Alert that was fun that was a fun one
- 20:00 - 20:30 um what other good games were in this genre obviously Civilization um the new the newest type of game that's kind of close to this genre but not with the strategy war type stuff is like City Skylines you see a lot of people playing City Skylines right now and that game's really fun it's very very in-depth way more than you would think when you start playing it you're like there's more to this game than what originally meets the eye when you first see it and it's fun but it's more like um
- 20:30 - 21:00 Sim City right more like city than Civilization but another one that uh Junky plays a lot is well he loved it back in the day i don't know if he's played in a while but Tropico have you ever played Tropico oh yes yes me and him play Tropico and you'll never believe who we played with all the time who's that fubar we used to play with Fubar and the funny part is is Fubar is Mexican and yeah so he starts speaking
- 21:00 - 21:30 Spanish like he gets all wound up starts going because you know Tropical a lot of that stuff's in Spanish and he's like going ham talking in Spanish and I'm like "Dude I don't know what you're saying man like chill out dude." Yeah um him and um and Lurk we used to play with them a lot on Tropico the thing about Tropico though is you can't be on a team like you can on on AoE um and it's all dictator-based right but at
- 21:30 - 22:00 the end the end of the game one of you is you have to win like you can't you can't team base it like like Age of Empires where like you kill all the team and then you're you're at each other you know basically is how that went always went for us and basically we would just gang up on one one guy and then and then he'd get mad and call a night and then he'd have to wait four hours for the rest of the game to quit so that game was massively long to play and if one
- 22:00 - 22:30 guy went down it was like okay just start the game over guys cuz he ain't going to get to play for four more hours most of the time actually at the end of the game we just we would just close it cancel it out at the end of the game cuz one guy well after one guy died it was just it was no fun for him anymore you know obviously um Tropical was fun i played like three of those titles I think yeah i think they they're up to Tropico six yeah i
- 22:30 - 23:00 think I think I played I know I played five and six i don't know i might have played three or four before that um I know I know my dad played four he played five a lot and six he played five a lot and six yeah yeah might have been four five and six i don't remember which ones I played but for sure in there somewhere um excuse me but um I got the apple burps
- 23:00 - 23:30 yeah that that ice cream recipe sounds pretty good hell yeah the muk the muk is real the muk if you don't know what the muk is sorry yeah you need to find out what the muk is i'll put a picture up somewhere over here of the muk or something it's not this though it's um It's not this oh you don't need to give us a ASMR for
- 23:30 - 24:00 the mic i'm just massaging my mic dude making sure it's clean you know cleaning it off just a quick mic test it'll be weird when I start sniffing it but yeah mic test one two um oh we're getting It's too late it's too late yeah it is um as far as strategy games the only game I
- 24:00 - 24:30 think that blows most of those games completely out of the water is still Battle Station specific i really think as you could play that game full strategy mode top down view from a map or you could go first person and play the units yourself that's like the big difference right like if you could do that in in any of these other games they would be it would be really
- 24:30 - 25:00 really fun because you know you're not stuck in strategy mode with battle stations you you just you could play it out of strategy mode too you still had to do the strategy stuff but but you could play the units which was fun um the other thing that different differentiates like good from bad for me on a on a top down strategy game is if it's live or turn-based if it's turn-based I am out man i hate turn-based games like and I think Yeah
- 25:00 - 25:30 yeah for sure civ is that way like and and like Civ's okay but you have to remember like somebody who plays games has pretty quick reaction time which gives you an advantage on live games right like the ability to react and and see what's going on around you whereas Civ is more like um somebody who has zero reaction time can play that game quite effectively because they don't need to
- 25:30 - 26:00 have it so well it civ I feel like is if you don't plan 50 steps ahead you're screwed oh yeah it's 100% full-on strategy full-on strategy it's a game of chess for sure whereas AoE is checkers definitely that's the big difference you know a game you know a game I got interested or well I wouldn't say interested but uh introduced to a few years ago by uh Mr
- 26:00 - 26:30 singer Dog was chess oh yeah straight up chess and let me tell you there's a reason why that game is so popular to this day and it's the oldest game known to man cuz it's it's popular for sure it's there's you you never stop learning playing chess right like the more you play it the more you learn it actually has an infinite number of combinations you can do to try to win the game seems like it and feels that way and people are so
- 26:30 - 27:00 good at it and it's one of those ones that like the learning curve is really steep yeah but then once you kind of figure it out it's it's better right like it's hard it's impossible it's impossible it's impossible and then you get to a point where it's like okay I can kind of doing something now and you just described Stormworks to a tea but um
- 27:00 - 27:30 the other you know speaking of that like back in the day I was probably I was young um like young young 12 13 we played me and the neighbor across the street he's the same age as I was we would get on Los do you remember LOS um it was a search engine like Google back in the day and it had a like it had advertisements on TV it was like a like a Labrador Retriever like a black lab like Leos i don't know it was stupid but they had a game section in there for
- 27:30 - 28:00 checkers right mhm and me and him got figured out the strategy on checkers is you get into checkers set like a two-minute timer so each person only had two minutes of of play time total and you just moved your characters as fast as you could your your pieces and and tried to be somewhat strategic about it right and we ended up being like so insanely high ranked that I don't think anybody could ever beat us we were playing like even people who were near
- 28:00 - 28:30 the same rank as us were nowhere in near our skill level because it was just a matter of like fast-pac moving your guys somewhat strategically and we'd always beat them on the time like they get to a point where they're like I don't know what to do and like the brain would lock up and they would lose the game because they only had a total of two minutes to move so that was that's like they do that with that's called speed chest or chest speed chess um we played a big deal too yeah we've played speed chest
- 28:30 - 29:00 it was checkers and and honestly it was like the most fun cuz we were dumb little kids just having a blast tearing people apart in that game um and I practice as hell at checkers dude oh dude I was good at checkers dude you don't want to play checkers with me i'll beat you and I'll beat you fast yeah I hold the world record for Connect Four yeah yeah no no tic Tac i hold the world record of shoots
- 29:00 - 29:30 and ladders no but um with chess dude I I found out that if you have even the slightest competitive bone in your body check out chess and take it serious and try to learn it because it is so it's so fun trying to figure out how to beat somebody you can get stomped 50 times in a row and you every single time you see how you you messed up and you get better and you get better and you get better
- 29:30 - 30:00 until you're actually competent at the game and you don't have to go out and buy a chess set to do it you can buy you can for free on Xbox PC you can get it on your phone there's good chess games there's good chess games on the phone it could be the crappiest looking chess game and it still plays the same as every other chess board forever windows on for your PC came with it i don't know if it still does but it came with chess checkers all those games mhm and you and I can't believe I It took me this long
- 30:00 - 30:30 you know what's crazy mind Sweeper i learned how to play Mind Sweeper one time like I got like like a twoe addiction to Mind Sweeper not even joking right because you know how you usually click and you're like I don't know what to do next and you click and you blow up and die i actually figured out how to play that game one time and I was like I'm going to try to beat it on the hardest level i could beat it i could beat it it's actually not that hard once you figure it out but um I know everybody has played Mind Sweeper and 99% of people that played
- 30:30 - 31:00 Mind Sweeper just like me like this game is [ __ ] um you can't win and once you figure it out you're like it's not that hard i hate to break it to you dude i think I think my age group might be like the last gen that play Mind Sweeper i'm pretty sure there's people that are 20 years old and below that i have to look at my mind to see if it has Mind Sweeper on it it doesn't have Mind Sweeper on it i had to look why Bill Gates if you're watching this why did
- 31:00 - 31:30 you take Mind Sweeper away it was here for for decades why is it gone mind Sweeper and Solitaire you know I when I was working in Montana I had to um we had to jump on a bus to go from where we were staying to the mine and it was a 3hour trip One Direction i'm not [ __ ] you and oh my god there was no internet service so I downloaded Solitaire on my phone and started learning how to play solitaire and all those stupid games that like your grandma played when you were little and
- 31:30 - 32:00 there's a lot of salt is fun a lot of brain power to a lot of different versions of those games you know and I played a lot of different versions of salt because I mean you can only play the easy kinds of solitire so many times before you're like I'm done crank it up you know and and you just keep getting better and better at it one thing I did learn dude believe it or not is every game is solable which is I used to play solitire i used to work at a co at
- 32:00 - 32:30 a community college i was like a student worker when I was in school and I worked the cashier spot for a little while and there would be a lot of downtime cuz I mean there wasn't a lot of people going to the cashier spot every day you know um but so it the computer had solitaire on it dude I got good at solitire i spent a lot of time getting paid to play solitaire mhm solitire and it was fun solitaire is fun it it'll keep your brain going underrated those games are underrated cuz they're like grandma
- 32:30 - 33:00 games you know you know something your grandparents used to play i remember my grandpa used to play solitire on the computer all the time and I was like "This game looks stupid it's just a bunch of cards i can go get a card deck and do that grandpa what are you doing?" It's easier to play on the computer for sure than it is to play in real life it is and u and you can't cheat cuz everybody cheats out there in real life so you're like I can't find this there it is what was the snake game you remember the snake game snake was it
- 33:00 - 33:30 just called Snake mhm it was on your no i used to play that a lot hey you know what was an underrated game at grandma's house when you were a kid well this was for me anyway i don't know about you but Greg Hastings Paintball do you remember that game no I have no idea what you're talking about dude it was like the first COD I ever played but it was just paintball you You're going to have to pull up a trailer let me look it up let me let me look up OG Greg Hastings so when I was a boy um
- 33:30 - 34:00 we used to go down to my aunt's house all the time and I have a lot of cousins and there was always a Nintendo 64 hanging out in the back room right and so they'd send us kids back there while um they played like adult cards you know like they play cribage and and bridge and all that stuff we go back there and the game that they had that I loved and I never had it for myself was Golden Eye you remember Golden Eye yes I do remember Golden Eye oh my god we used to just thrash on Golden Eye it was so much
- 34:00 - 34:30 fun golden Eye so was like the second first good shooter right you had Doom you had Wolfenstein you had Doom and then I think like there was really nothing really good between Doom and Golden Eye that I can think of oh we got some so here I'm going to I'm pulling up a stream i'm just going to I'm just going to grab this tournament paintball this is uh this is actually a this is
- 34:30 - 35:00 Shapeless Media's video here this is their tournament if you want to watch the whole video they had a tournament on here [ __ ] kids wow what an intro wait Tyler so at home yeah I don't know skip into the game i There we go see this was like my first co yeah this is golden eye of paintball dude yeah basically i mean I used to go to my grandma's
- 35:00 - 35:30 house i don't know why she had Greg Hastings paintball i don't know how to stand i don't know if that came with Microsoft's computers back in the day like imply movement but she did and I played a lot of this oh my god i'm watching this guy holy [ __ ] and I know he's probably pretty good at it but it looks clunky as [ __ ] oh yeah this game is super super emoting clicking the sticks in
- 35:30 - 36:00 they were emoting this was Fortnite before Fortnite dude hang on let's go back let's see that emote again feel so lush and alive [ __ ] i didn't know he got Oh no he got he got hit i thought he was hitting the stanky leg what was that thing that was What was that thing that was in the screen what do you do with that was it like a Was it like a power like right here it's coming right there severe at the top what is that it makes it feel so alive [ __ ] i didn't know how to stand back up uh did you try clicking the stick i'm not sure what that is did you try
- 36:00 - 36:30 clicking the black white A i mean I played this when I was like six so I don't remember all the mechanics i like how you can shoot things and it doesn't really show on like a little bit but it's hard to see oh my god he just drop shoted the [ __ ] out of that guy dolphin die drop shot dog but that's that's Greg Hastings paintball i used to play that a lot back in the day you know so there's a game that I used to play with my brother we
- 36:30 - 37:00 were kids and and when we were kids my folks bought this i'm going to put it in loose quotations lakehouse okay this was Uncle Tom's cabin man the kid was messed up gotcha like I remember being a kid and and when we first got down there there were skunks living under it like I'm not even sure dude like a whole family of them so somehow or another my mom figured out this way to essentially kill them with bleach and
- 37:00 - 37:30 ammonia dumped them down like drilled holes in the floorboards of the cabin and dumped bleach and ammonia down these holes and then we all just left like they just fumigated them to death and I'm a little kid climbing under there getting these skunks out right it's gross um but but it would be like really crappy days we went down there every weekend while my folks fix this fix this place up and it's actually beautiful now like my dad and mom did an amazing job building this place but um we would sit
- 37:30 - 38:00 there on rainy days and play Nintendo 64 um Donkey Kong Country you ever played that yep donkey Kong Country i played a little bit i didn't I didn't play it a ton i didn't ever have a Nintendo 64 but I did what I did have I had a Gamecube yeah and it would have I know you call it the lame cube yeah it would have had a version of it cuz there's like three versions of it um that are older um there's Diddy Diddy Kong and and there's a bunch of different ones but we used to play the the OG on 64 and I remember
- 38:00 - 38:30 that game being like insanely hard like it's not hard in the sense that you have to like you die and start all the way over it's hard in the sense that you die 15 times each level and then have to go play an easy level to get enough coins to buy more lives to continue playing the hard level um but I downloaded that on the um Switch the new one really oh my god it's even harder dude it's even harder is it Does it feel really clunky
- 38:30 - 39:00 no it's not clunky at all it's just the world's hardest sides scrolling game ever it's It's not clunky at all dude like I highly recommend it actually if you want a challenging game on the Switch um the kids the kids got a Switch you know and they're like "Dad what's a cool game?" I'm like "Donkey Kong Country's cool get that." Yeah way over their heads dude like way over their heads they're like "Dad can you beat this level?" I'm like "What level are you on?" Like two i'm like "Okay." I just die like 14 times i'm like "Oh my
- 39:00 - 39:30 god what is wrong with this game?" And a lot of it is the Switch controllers the Nintendo ones are junk i don't know if you've noticed that like they're junk so I bought um they're actually really cheap on Amazon some like cheap they look like Xbox controllers so much better like so much better they're like It was like 20 bucks for a pair of them they were dirt cheap way better than those pieces of crap that Nintendo sends but
- 39:30 - 40:00 um I was able to actually mow through most of the game with that other controller that was a that was a big thing but um that game is so hard because it's all hand eye coordination and intense timing and and reaction time is you have to be like extremely fast to to be able to beat it either that or I'm just getting old which is quite a possibility because I know that I can't play first person shooters like I used to be able to you know like No there's definitely some reaction time problems there the thing with first person
- 40:00 - 40:30 shooters is is it feels like everybody is good at them now you know what I mean it's the new generation man when I was a kid I was really good at them because nobody older than me had really played them i was like the first generation to go through a lot of the consoles right like right around my age group so I was like my brother and I were like god mode on a lot of these games back in the day you know like we actually went to my cousin who's younger than me we went to a Where did we go to it was
- 40:30 - 41:00 a It was a Xbox OG Xbox maybe or Xbox 360 tournament him and I both went we didn't even know what games were being played like we had no idea they're like "Yeah there's an Xbox tournament in town." This is over in Montana and I'm like "Okay well let's just go dude." Like I was probably like 20 I don't know he was probably like 14 i don't know he was pretty young and uh we go in there and they're playing
- 41:00 - 41:30 Forza um two one I don't know old ass Forza and uh and and Halo and I was like "Dude I haven't played either one of these games in a long time i don't think I've ever even played Forza before um but anyway I took second place in Halo he took first he took second place in Forza and I took first so we we walked away and stomped on that and then they actually invited us to play in the state level on that
- 41:30 - 42:00 and we were both like nah we don't care but we got like we got like some t-shirts and [ __ ] i don't know i think if you would have been a little bit older you might have got a beer or something i don't know but I don't remember really much about that those old school those old school like in-person tournaments the old land parties I missed I missed because I I I I didn't get the opportunity to really go to any Mhm and I always watched them you know
- 42:00 - 42:30 cuz you know my dad was he was a pro metal honor player back in 2000 yeah yeah my dad was into it my dad knew the scene and so I grew up watching it i'm amazed enough to play in those years well I don't I don't know if he was but he was damn good while he was doing it but I will tell you he actually I think I I always tell people cuz there's no proof of it my dad's the first Call of Duty pro
- 42:30 - 43:00 but only around his friends cuz the [ __ ] wasn't multiplayer online like I know they had Was it good at huh yeah they had G they played they played the first uh GB tournament that was ever streamed nice it had like 200 viewers back in like 2002 i've only been top player um of any game ever twice um which I think is good anyway right like nowadays you're never going to be top player in any game but um no one of them was
- 43:00 - 43:30 Battlestation Pacific we talked about that i was definitely top player in that game at least at least as far as the ranking boards were concerned um the second game was an old school flight sim called Jan's F-15 have you ever even heard of Jane's F-15 no i mean I've heard of some of the older games but not Jane's F-15 it's War Thunder and only F-15s on simulation mode that's exactly what it is um dude pull up a trailer pull up a James F-15
- 43:30 - 44:00 trailer if you can find one um but I was 14 14 years old when I started playing this game i actually bought this game in 1998 that's when it came out um I remember this cuz it actually said 1998 on the box and that was back when you bought a um or a game for a computer and they came in a box that was like it looked like a book you know what I mean yeah like they're like that thick you know big old huge things you take this thing
- 44:00 - 44:30 apart and have it had a freaking flight manual in the box that's awesome i'm not even joking um but anyway I was Yeah it's that you got the right game um this is a 13-year-old video by the way this is Hornet 1A and this is their gameplay video let's Let's just take a peek let's get to Yeah i get to the most replays right about there
- 44:30 - 45:00 over wow this came out when 1998 it is way OP for 98 isn't it this is way ahead of its time for 98 yeah and then this company so something happened with James back in the day jane's got plug him we're taking You missed him you suck he missed him i would have got him over he shot a
- 45:00 - 45:30 Fox so Fox two those are aim aims i believe the Fox 2 or Aim 9 fox 3 is um AIM7s and if he'd have fired the AM7 I think he' got him i'm very very impressed with this this is really nice for 98 wow that was a hit yeah so this game I'm not [ __ ] you you could play like a 10hour sorty in this game in your
- 45:30 - 46:00 F-15 like you would bombs are gone he's bombing he's bombing third person a dog there you go he had a bunch of little baby bombs i'm going to tell you right now people think people probably think this looks like dog [ __ ] but dude for 98 this is impressive so check it check go back to that in cockpit view real quick and and
- 46:00 - 46:30 just pause it can you pause it every button on the screen you could push with your mouse and it did something every freaking button so I see you have your gears and your flaps and your speed your brake and you can look down like like in War Thunder like you can like look around there's a bazillion more buttons but you could push those buttons i don't know if you noticed but the call outs that the speaker is giving you it I think those
- 46:30 - 47:00 are real call outs they are it's from the dude sitting in the back seat it's F-15 Eagle it's an E so it's two seat wow so so half of them are the computer like the the woman's voice is the is the plane and the guy's voice is is your um dude in the back your real right so um the cool thing about this game is so you it had a multiplayer mode which is very much like War Thund's multiplayer mode like you just started like I think it was 4v4 um flew at each other you know
- 47:00 - 47:30 last man standing wins um but the other modes it had co-op in it and you could play and you could build your own missions which was really cool um but you could literally play like like I said like an eight hour mission in this game you could get on there and just fly and fly and fly and fly and fly bomb a target and fly back and here's a really cool part that is that's him bombing a
- 47:30 - 48:00 factory i just want to see this real quick actually let me go back just a second here so that's a factory on You can see Mhm go back a little bit more where he's where he's acquiring target there you go oh a little more little more he's He's already acquired it there too he's He's for a while yeah he's had it for a long time he's got it there too what's the distance on it i'm trying to
- 48:00 - 48:30 read it i can't read it he's He dropped his bomb right there and it's a minute 20 seconds to impact guided bomb mhm so then I just want to see the animation of what it looks like it wasn't terrible that's not awful for 98 no it's really really good 10 seconds to release i'm actually really impressed by this game
- 48:30 - 49:00 i wonder what happened to the devs that made this game the story I heard and this was way back in the day and I may not be telling it right um their it was kind of similar to War Thunder their simulation was too realistic and they got shut down um but they actually made a lot of other games too they made um F-18 I think yeah the Hornet i think they made a Hornet one and then they made one called USAF and you could fly look up USAF because it'll blow your mind compared to F-15 the gameplay wasn't as
- 49:00 - 49:30 good as F-15s but the graphics were like at the time they were like "Oh my god it's so good." But I actually didn't get to play Jane's F15 in '98 it came out in '98 but my computer didn't have a CD drive in it at that time so I ended up playing it later on i think at my grandma's house she let me install it on her computer and she was pissed cuz it was like 128 megs or something like that
- 49:30 - 50:00 ruined all her storage but um so this is a video by Sand Martin this is the F-16 versus the MiG 29 dog fight on Jane's USAF so let's see what they got here this is from 99 this is impressive looking yeah I told you it was like graphics were way better right yeah this is impressive looking mig 29 what's he in f18 uh F-16 versus a Mig 29 okay
- 50:00 - 50:30 probably see the MIG 29 lock yeah [Music] I don't know if he's if he's missile out on the Mig 29 or not but he's definitely notching that which would technically be what uh R24 R26 29 R24 missile um so I want to
- 50:30 - 51:00 say it's either it's either um R24's I think it's R24 is the cap on the Mig 2 R24R so yeah essentially he has to blow the Mig 29 up before the before he gets hit because the the R24 requires constant lock [Music] right what does he have i can't tell what he's got oh he's got uh
- 51:00 - 51:30 10,000 oh man I do remember playing that MIG is giving him some trouble missile launch right 2:00 i remember like they call him Austin you could change your flight name i remember
- 51:30 - 52:00 that in this game you could have like four or six different flight names or something he's blacking out like a son of a [ __ ] well that was the thing about the MiG 29 right is it could outmaneuver most it shouldn't be able to outmaneuver an F-16 but possibly i mean I don't think I I I know it could outmaneuver an F-14 but I don't know about 16 well I think believe it or not I think a 14 can outmaneuver a
- 52:00 - 52:30 16 the engine sounds are really good in this game for its time you can hear the afterburners come on this dude is having a run on this MIG 29 yeah he's getting beat up looks to be I remember that going back and forth to that view because you could you could track the enemy with your head with a button so it was always always on my
- 52:30 - 53:00 joystick and then you could switch back and forth so you could see which way you were going you can actually play it in third person as well but you don't have any instrumentation if you do that oh he's got him is the MIG going away from him he's got him oh he's he's going to get a lock he's going to get gunshot on him oh yeah he gave him a gun he gave me He got a hit he got He got a hit
- 53:00 - 53:30 he's got more than one i don't know if that dude is calling the same contact that he's following he's going to go for another you can see the gunnake in the HUD too he's got his HUD brightness turned down see the gun snake in it that is so cool i wish that uh I they may have that on the F-15 in in War Thunder i'm not certain i don't have the
- 53:30 - 54:00 F-15 yet but right there missile oh we got another hit oh gun got him wow i thought he was going to lose that fight yeah I wasn't so sure he was going to win that either that game was fun that game was super fun f-15 like I said F-15 played better than than USAF did but um super fun game
- 54:00 - 54:30 um and that became my my lifelong obsession with Flight Sims right there james F15 well that's a cool looking game um definitely more advanced than I thought there were games out there for sure i could see why it got pulled down though i mean I feel like you're almost just doing a straight up Yeah you know Air Force sim yeah it was and and every
- 54:30 - 55:00 plane was modeled really well in USAF i remember right it had everything from I think it had an F4 A10 i know it had F-16 F-15 F-18 and I don't know if it had a Super Hornet or just the regular F-18 um it had some other stuff too i think it might had a Nighthawk in it 117 if I remember right um had some I I don't think it had F22 but maybe i don't I think it was too It
- 55:00 - 55:30 had been too old for F22 I think but it had some cool stuff and did you ever play the OG Battlefield 1942 the very first Battlefield that ever came out i played 1943 oh on the 360 yeah I didn't play um 42 was was PC exclusive mhm um and that was the very first Battlefield at least I think it is i'm pretty sure it is though and it was that game felt groundbreaking at the time but um I mean look at
- 55:30 - 56:00 Battlefield lot of cool bad Company was like the ultimate groundbreaking game right in of its time well it solidified the DICE engine to being the best engine of like the 360 era yeah it was good um but if you were to look at that game now and compare it with a new Battlefield like even not even a new one like go back to Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5 and compare those two games you'd be like "That game looks like crap." And at
- 56:00 - 56:30 the time we all thought they were amazing right um but if you look at like even F-15 that was in the 90s dude that game is definitely holding its ground so have you look have you seen the trailer for the new Battlefield i have not so they're doing a thing it's called um Do It look dope it does so take remember all the physics that made Pad Company great mhm
- 56:30 - 57:00 put that in Battlefield 3 really that's what this looks like so let me show you you know what's crazy is why can't they stick with a with a numbering system that makes sense well here's the thing they're doing a Battle the new devs for the new Battlefield it's a thing called Battlefield Labs it's been swamped it's play testing to the public and everybody puts the reviews on what they can fix um I was actually looking at um an old
- 57:00 - 57:30 Battlefield 3 this guy worked on um from Battlefield uh Bad Company 1 all the way up to Battlefield 4 or no Battlefield 1 excuse me um and he was putting his two cents on this new Battlefield release and saying that the Battlefield Labs for this new game and and they showed gameplay i'm going to put the trailer on here in a second um but he said it looks
- 57:30 - 58:00 very promising good and he he was he was very critical about 2042 and all and the crap Battlefields we've got recently but he said this looks very very promising and um I'm just going to put it up here real quick and we're going to take a look at this trailer defending that last point in Breakthrough
- 58:00 - 58:30 you and your squad going together trying to accomplish something helicopter crashes into the building next to you and all of a sudden the roof drops on your head vehicle play is the destruction you've got tanks you've got jets you get a bit sweaty in your palm full allout military experience i'm highly confused cuz unlike any other game I've played are we every era this franchise comes from long history spanning over 20 years two weeks ago
- 58:30 - 59:00 hang on let me go let me see if there's a better one here cuz the that that's a lot of info i'm just trying to find the Battlefield 6 trailer there's a gameplay teaser at the top there you go gameplay teaser trailer for Here we go here we go this is pre-alpha that's crazy and this is real gameplay i
- 59:00 - 59:30 mean so what are they are they doing multiple like eras of battle in this game is that their plan here that's I'm not sure but I mean this look just look at this that's an Abrams and this is obviously M4 M16 M4 whatever he's got um and then in the other video we I literally just saw a World War I tank roll i want I'm I'm kind of thinking
- 59:30 - 60:00 like they probably were just going through the eras of Battlefield as like a Oh click on the click on the 2002 to 2025 Battlefield cuz that's going to blow your mind dude yeah i got to check this out who made this this is a This is a game of evolutions 1942 yes this is the very first one that I played is that the old French fart tractor there's a Sherman
- 60:00 - 60:30 this is This game I must have put a thousand hours on as a kid that's an enemy like I was wondering why you didn't shoot him okay i like how you can see literally everyone yeah this is the best part about this game i could play this game i'd be good at this game i can see everyone did he kill him yeah he killed him
- 60:30 - 61:00 nice this game was like like I said groundbreaking back in the day it felt like 100% all right let's skip up let's see the Let's see the comparison so let's see oh this is Battlefield Vietnam this game was great 2004 i played this one too vietnam 2004 yep this was a great game
- 61:00 - 61:30 too this is where they started introducing like the more in-depth class system i don't think this game per performed very well for sales but I'm telling you right now this game was a lot of fun it was hard this grenade is should not touch that thing especially if you don't hit it uh yeah yeah yeah okay that guy can four rounds from a from a
- 61:30 - 62:00 rifle but that tank took one grenade well you know it's arcade but it is the aiming was difficult i watched that old boy just slug off like eight rounds from 45 dude is he in a Huey yep nice so let's see a little bit more of that get the M60
- 62:00 - 62:30 that's sweet and then here was Battlefield 2 this game felt this was the first modern 25 no that was 16 there icons you can see this game was crazy select one with the left mouse button and then click done to start playing this is where Battlefield really started to get its
- 62:30 - 63:00 footing oh my god and you could do you could do really cool stuff like this is where they want you could try to be like a Delta Force operator and you had night vision scopes and and like uh hooks that you could throw on the buildings and climb up on top of the rooftops that old boy just took half and they This is where they introduce
- 63:00 - 63:30 the revive system yeah this is the one this I've never liked about Battlefield that a lot of other games Call of Duty is when you shoot somebody in the face 14 times with a pistol that's 25 caliber and they just like look at you just kills no I remember my dad playing this game a lot i don't think this game provided this one my dad played this quite a bit this was like uh you played as the UN
- 63:30 - 64:00 fighting like China or something and then this is 2142 i never played this one this was like you're in the future yeah this was Halo jumping and [ __ ] right i think so yeah oh no mechs did that dude just come out of that car alive after it blew up around him yeah
- 64:00 - 64:30 goofy right yeah this one's This one's some And then here's Bad Company yeah I never played this one but I do remember it um there was a lot of people playing this one when it came out you are the last standing of course there's a lot of people with the old T-Mobile sidekick too see how far that went yeah um and then here's 1943 for those of you
- 64:30 - 65:00 that didn't get to experience it on the old 360 this was super arcadey but it was a good arcadey feel this game I played it up until about 2 years ago it was arcadey but not like insanely arcadey right I played this game a lot but it was mostly most of the time playing it I would just ride around in jeeps run people over the jeeps were the most OP
- 65:00 - 65:30 thing in the game yeah there for sure were cuz you had the the 50 on the back and then if you got somebody that had a rocket launcher in the passenger it was game over you could you could smoke everything but yeah this game was Oh yes i remember playing dude this guy's really bad at planes all right let's look at all that let's
- 65:30 - 66:00 look at uh Oh man i wish we had those clips of us playing Battlefield 5 back in the day or Battlefield 1 which one was the one we used to play in the desert night people one was it one god that was fun that was a good time yeah Battlefield 1 was really good it was like playing um it's like it was like training for uh Hell Let Loose cuz it was we were so far away it was like I see a pixel
- 66:00 - 66:30 moving got him yeah you know it was so much fun yeah and I remember like like the different nations had different um scopes right and you would spot for me and I remember literally having to put them on the duplex of the scope and raise the scope above where I couldn't see them anymore and shoot and I would get a kill and it was like so hard to do and then in other nations you could keep them in the scope and shoot it was like
- 66:30 - 67:00 the zeroing was so bad on some of them versus other ones um Mhm that game was really really fun though because there was a lot of skill involved in that game um and that was the old one hit or quitter game too right like Hell That Loose like you got shot you you fell over dead so that that makes it fun it's still It's still the most cinematic gameplay game I've ever played is Battlefield 1 like I mean it straight up a movie the campaign was wild on that
- 67:00 - 67:30 cuz remember you didn't play as one person every time you died you became a different soldier in the same war and did like different things and there was certain points that you you it you you had to die in the game right like you'd be you hit a certain point and just artillery would hit you in the head or something there was no way around it and just so you could switch characters and go to a different different part of the of the battle and then they added like the gas you know you would get gassed out in certain parts of the map and it would make it way more difficult
- 67:30 - 68:00 and that was fun the whole game was I remember playing the campaign on that thinking this is this is out of control this is wild running around in the Mark Fives remember the old Mark Five tanks around in those things um those were cool that was that was a And then uh and we played Did F one came after five right i'm trying to remember five came after one five came after one so Battlefield 5 was the World War II one right that one was all right i didn't hate it
- 68:00 - 68:30 i didn't hate that one either i I liked that one a lot and I liked one i liked five um I didn't I disappointed in 2042 man i didn't go hard in the paint on those games by any means i played them a little bit just cuz my buddies were playing them but that was about the only reason i'm excited for Battlefield 6 though i think they're going in the right direction a lot of play testing and uh it looks like they're bringing what people want which was Battlefield 3
- 68:30 - 69:00 and 4 and they're adding the mechanics of actual destruction to buildings like you you can see in the trailer that guy shoots the RPG and a whole chunk of that building crumbles you know yeah yeah that was that was crazy like a whole corner of that building got blown off that thing yeah so I'm excited for that I think that's what people are looking for i think people are looking for more realism in the games you know like
- 69:00 - 69:30 there's always been like this definitive line of what Call of Duty and Battlefield should be and what Halo should be like Halo was always a futuristic take more than one bullet but you're supposed to be able to take more than one bullet whereas these other games should have always been you know like Medal of Honor you get shot in the face one time you died um and that's just how it should have been the games were hard but they were fun because it was way more realistic um well and I feel like a
- 69:30 - 70:00 lot of these games they're just like "Oh well Call of Duty did this and they found success let's copy it." Mhm they have their respective corners halo takes way more skill to play that style which Halo has it dialed that kind of multiplayer shooting gameplay takes way more skill than it's honestly a lot of fine aiming cuz they don't I don't know if they do have aim assist but it's it's still really hard to aim it's it's still really finite aiming whereas Call of Duty that's what
- 70:00 - 70:30 it is it's extremely fast-paced whereas Call of Duty and strategy takes a little right like I would say Call of Duty but like a more more realistic game would be like Hell Let Loose right like Yeah you still have to be fast and you still have to but there's a lot more to it other than you don't just run right into the bad guy with your gun blazing like you do in Halo you know it's Yeah it's not who could nail the head shot quickest is who could get the first shot on the guy
- 70:30 - 71:00 first you know and and and using some tactics in Hell Let Loose versus where Halo Halo has his tactics don't get me wrong but it it's nothing like Hell Let Loose right like let's hide in this bush cuz I know there's going to be guys coming by we'll wait for all the whole squad to run by and then we'll shoot them all in the back like you know halo you don't do that cuz you're either red or And people in people in in like Call of Duty and Halo they're like "Campers quit camping." And I get it you know it's supposed to be fastplays
- 71:00 - 71:30 gameplay but in Hell Let Loose that is a good strat you're supposed to be good at camping that's what it is mhm yeah see don't be seen that's the strat they have their I think these game devs just need to realize look we have our own corner of how this game is supposed to be played let's just build on that yeah they try to get outside the box like well excuse me what was that Call of Duty that turned straight into Halo and
- 71:30 - 72:00 it was just like total butt uh Infinite Warfare or something yeah something like that um it was garbage it was absolutely trash because you had people like running on the walls and [ __ ] and it was like everybody It was so bad they had to remaster COD 4 and release it simultaneously with the remastered COD 4 because they knew people weren't going to play IW yeah exactly um you know speaking of games
- 72:00 - 72:30 um that stayed in their own corner um did I know you played it um Black Flag Assassin's Creed that game kind of like went completely out off the rails right like compared to what Assassin's Creed was but in turn made one of the best pirate games ever made um Yep did you ever play Rogue no I didn't rogue so underrated big time
- 72:30 - 73:00 released the same time or very very close same time as as Black Flag did um it's the same type of game the difference was is one was on the Xbox One and the other one was on the 360 and Rogue I think Rogue was on the one originally i'm I'm pretty sure i I'd have to like look back at it but plays almost the same as Black Flag but but better and like it got completely missed
- 73:00 - 73:30 i don't know why no one picked this game up but I think it was too early to be honest with you i don't think everybody had an Xbox One in their on their shelf when this game dropped i think that was Well I remember a lot of when that game dropped because it was considered a spin-off of Black Flag mhm it was the biggest complaint was the short the story was short and that was everybody's complaint yeah and it was but it was almost the same game as Black Flag too like you could just buy Black Flag and have most of Rogue done right
- 73:30 - 74:00 the cool thing about Rogue Excuse me cool thing about Rogue is that it had a app on your phone that you could play while not on your Xbox and do missions in the game and you know like um the the Black Sails is that what's is that the new one black Sails what the hell's the new the new pirate game that no no one plays um that was hyped up big time Ubisoft game oh uh Skull and Bones skull
- 74:00 - 74:30 and Bones bones you know in Skull and Bones when you go to the like the back room of the bar you could do all that trading and [ __ ] you could do all that on your phone in Rogue which was really cool so you could like not even be home log onto your little thing and make money on the game like that and I thought that was so cool that's cool and I really wish that they would have done that with the new game cuz I when I got back there I was like "Oh man this is cool." I I kind of remember this but I remember it being on my phone but uh it
- 74:30 - 75:00 was like Skull and Bones like Skull and Bones is good like it's it is really a decent game but it's limited um by for one it's three three-player co-op right that's all it is three-player so yeah I don't remember it's they tried to The thing about Assassin's Creed Black Flag was is there was like real legitimacy to um realistic ship fighting oh yeah and at least it felt like it yeah
- 75:00 - 75:30 where it's on Skull and Bones it's just a health bar it's a little out of control on Skull and Bones I think too it is so it reminds me of The Division big time build your best build yeah you might have the same ship as a guy you're fighting but you can't hurt him which I think is crap in any game that's always been my complaint about The Division like I played The Division for like 5 minutes before I almost threw that out the window and I was like I just shot
- 75:30 - 76:00 you in the face with a rifle like you should fall over dead i don't care how fancy your hat is your ball cap you know like and that's where kind of Skull and Bones went that way too and don't get me wrong like I was when I was playing that we were definitely top tiering and and kicking the crap out of everyone but it just it never felt like like this is where Sea of Thieves shines sea of Thieves no matter what you have you're on the same level playing field as the guy in the boat next to you
- 76:00 - 76:30 it does not matter right like you can have all the things all the [ __ ] you can buy does not affect gameplay at all and Mhm where Skull and Bones it does um I mean even Black Flag it did too right like but you were only against NPCs like completely so it didn't matter it was just about who could get like I don't know there was not even any contest to it but it was just try to
- 76:30 - 77:00 smash as much crap as you could as fast as you could um but Skull and Bones is just like there's PvP aspect to it and you have a guy in the same boat you have but you can't hurt his boat but he can hurt your boat like you can hurt him but barely right or in my case it was the other way around like people couldn't hurt us and it it actually got boring i think that's really what happened to Skull of Bones is we got burned out on just they killed me there was no ship boarding no what happened to the ship boarding i have no idea like you should
- 77:00 - 77:30 absolutely be fighting boarding i don't know maybe they added it but I haven't played that game since it pretty much dropped i thought it was poo like they tried to say it was quadruple a game studio and stuff that made it and it was like ah the sailing was great the water looked good the world looked good but you know it was like that was it it looked really cool and and their remember their uh beta they they let loose where you could
- 77:30 - 78:00 play like in the little reef cove thing and it just pissed everyone off so bad cuz it was like a 4hour tutorial oh my god dude that was brutal i couldn't believe they even would ever even release anything like that like what were they thinking on that game but I will say the ship combat was cool it like it really was cool it was fun to let a full broadside loose on someone
- 78:00 - 78:30 and watch them get demolished that was really fun but um again the thing is is that game originally got painted as a here's Assassin's Creed 4 we're going to make it massive multiplayer and it's going to be the same as Assassin's Creed 4 back in 2016 when it was originally announced uhhuh and and they dropped a big bullet poo steel on us drop a giant turd sack on us have you ever played any MMOs
- 78:30 - 79:00 yeah I've played a I've played a few like uh the Old Republic star Wars the Old Republic oh I remember that game not not Knights of the Old Republic but Star Wars the Old Republic is a is an MMO Star Wars um yeah I played that i used to play a pirate game way back in the day it was called Pirates of the Burning Sea you should see if you can find a video of it it's It's going to be like It's old it's old um I'm saying early 2000s for sure but this game this game was cool
- 79:00 - 79:30 because it was based in the Caribbean um lots of ports in the in the golden age of piracy right and I remember being there was five factions so you had Spanish French English I want to say Dutch and pirate um maybe there wasn't a pirate one i think there might have just been four factions either way you could pick like
- 79:30 - 80:00 different um classes so here's the IGN's uh little trailer of Pirates of the Burning Sea what year was it put out can you see it 13 years ago oo that's old but I remember being in these huge line battles which I thought was really cool um he looks 13 years old yeah but you would have like all these ships in a dead snake across the ocean and you
- 80:00 - 80:30 would just like one person was leading the battle and they'd say "Shoot this boat and then they just turn dude." And the snake would turn and just everyone would unload on one dude and that was just the end of that dude that's funny um I mean the game looks cool i like I like the different uh different style boats there's a lot of different ships there was a lot of different ships this game is based a lot on Sidmer's Pirates Crew gotcha so Sidmer's Pirates and the one
- 80:30 - 81:00 that you play on on Xbox are two completely different games right um the Sid Sid Sidmer's Pirates Gold I think it was actually just called Pirates Gold um was very much like almost the same graphics only 10 years older than this game the graphics were never good in this game but there was a ton of really good gameplay in it and you could jump off your boat and go slash people up and [ __ ] it was cool
- 81:00 - 81:30 [Music] yeah that was the whole thing like you could sail for a country you should look up and see if they have a uh a uh what do they call it a a lion battle on there cuz that was that was wild like it's like hard to describe and it was so cool um what uh Pirates I played I played this game for ages in I would say mid 2000s
- 81:30 - 82:00 um let me see if I can find a video and and I'll I'll send it to you [Music] um I can't seem to find No I can't a line battle i can't either but hey you probably were the only one with that meta in Yeah everybody else was running around
- 82:00 - 82:30 in circles playing like mutants the mutants it's hard to escape the mutants it is that game was cool um the replay value was insane on it because um I I I'm trying to remember i'm pretty sure there was a pirate faction and the pirates were the only ones who could steal ships in the game the other the other factions weren't allowed to steal ships um but pirates pirates couldn't
- 82:30 - 83:00 build the big ships like the ships of the line and like the man of war and the big ones but they could steal them so we had a ton a ton of stolen ships i was in a huge clan that was massively OP in the game um and the dude that started that clan helped me out a lot in that game i still talk to him actually quite a bit but he man he we just pull boats out that were just stupid but the whole point you know is if you played it like a pirate it was really really fun to be on that pirate
- 83:00 - 83:30 thing you know we didn't take the big boats all the time we took the smaller fast boats you know and and ran people down and ruin their day you know that was that was the whole point of it it's it was just like what we did in Sea of Thieves forever grab the fastest boat run someone down ruin their day and call it a night you know there was no nothing to gain from it you know you just killed somebody and ruined their day that's all there was to gain but it was super fun but uh Well what do you think i'm uh
- 83:30 - 84:00 You're getting seepy i'm thinking I'm thinking it's time I need to jump on some AoE and and kick back for the rest of the night here what are you thinking yeah I'm thinking the same thing um what are we about we're about an hour and a half yeah that's that's a good time to call her quits so um I know this one this video is starting out a little weird because we were just kind of BSing and it turned into a podcast so it is what it is but um
- 84:00 - 84:30 if you guys at home could have seen the frustrations earlier today we actually had some sick sick gameplay footage of Space Engineers 2 that uh decided it didn't want to play once we recorded it obs had like a meltdown and uh Yeah and uh ruined early alpha footage there yeah that I was playing we were just kind of talking about it um if you guys haven't seen anything on that game if you are
- 84:30 - 85:00 even remotely interested in Space Engineers check it out it looks amazing i have not seen a game that looks that good in a long time i think we're going to still end up doing a standalone video of us just farting around on the alpha for uh Oh yeah for sure space Engineers 2 i think it's totally worth it i think everybody needs to see what this game looks like it could be um so and and in in typical us you know we just tried to break it as
- 85:00 - 85:30 quick as we could and we actually weren't able to break the game which is odd because usually we end up breaking it pretty quick so yeah we we broke our we broke our software stuff before the game broke yeah the game was fine but we broke OBS so that was cool yeah anyway we'll uh we'll have to look at that in the future for sure um Yep i guess we talked about a lot of games huh quite a
- 85:30 - 86:00 few tonight but yeah quite a few yeah so well thanks everybody for watching this has been the TLP podcast that's Hoppy i'm Tater i'm going to bed see y'all later see you have a good night
