Best Ways to create videos at Scale with Pollo AI Apps

Most content teams don't have a creativity problem. They have a production problem. The ideas are there. The briefs are written. The strategy is clear. What's missing is a reliable way to turn one good idea into enough video output to fill a content calendar — without burning out a designer or blowing through an editing budget. The answer isn't working harder. It's working with a system.

Black Forest Labs Unveils API for Flux Image Generation Models

From Stealth to Spotlight: Flux API Hits the Scene

Black Forest Labs Unveils API for Flux Image Generation Models

Black Forest Labs introduces a new API and releases Flux1.1 Pro, a faster and improved image generation model. With backing from Andreessen Horowitz and other prominent investors, the startup aims to revolutionize AI‑generated media despite past controversies and fierce competition.

Black Forest Labs, the company responsible for the image generation technology behind xAI's Grok assistant, has announced the release of a new model and a beta version of its API. The startup, backed by well‑known investors including Andreessen Horowitz, is offering a managed package through its new API, featuring the Flux family of image generation models. This provides developers the flexibility to integrate various Flux models into their applications or services.
The pricing for Black Forest Labs' API starts at 2.5 credits per image, with $1 equaling 100 credits. The advanced model, Flux1.1 Pro, costs 4 credits per image and is claimed to generate images six times faster than its predecessor, Flux1 Pro. With the ability to scale up to 2k resolution and improvements in image quality and prompt adherence, Flux1.1 Pro is also available through partners like Together AI, Replicate, Fal.AI, and Freepik.
Recently, Black Forest Labs made headlines due to its controversial partnership with xAI that integrated the Flux models into Grok without sufficient safety measures, leading to the creation of objectionable imagery. Although the company hasn't disclosed the specific datasets used for Flux’s training, indications suggest that copyrighted materials could have been involved, posing potential legal risks.
Originally developed by engineers from Stability AI, Black Forest Labs emerged from stealth with a $31 million investment and is reportedly in talks to raise an additional $100 million, aiming for a $1 billion valuation. The startup's ambitions extend beyond image generation, as they are also developing video‑generating models.
Despite the promising features of the Flux1.1 Pro model and the newly launched API, Black Forest Labs faces significant challenges in establishing itself as a leading player in the crowded field of media generation. Competitors like OpenAI, Google, and other AI startups such as Ideogram, Pika, and Midjourney are already well‑entrenched in the market, posing tough competition.
The API is crucial for Black Forest Labs' growth strategy as it seeks to scale operations and generate returns for investors. Developing and maintaining complex AI models require substantial resources, and demonstrating a clear pathway to profitability is essential to secure continuous investment.
For business readers, the release of Black Forest Labs' API signifies important developments in the AI landscape, offering new opportunities for integration into various applications. The company's focus on improving generation speed and image quality could be particularly appealing to industries relying heavily on media content, such as advertising, design, and digital marketing.
