So yeah like just before starting uh just wanted to uh basically get the idea like about you guys like so you can mention like uh like are you guys currently working or are you guys a
            • 07:30 - 08:00 college student or you guys are uh or you are a fresher so you can me mention in the chat so that I can get an idea like uh like uh what you guys are doing exactly. So yeah, you can even mention the working experience if you are working. Okay. Okay. Working. Okay. Okay. Good. Uh that's great. Okay. I can see that there are a lot of I guess
            • 08:00 - 08:30 there are mixed folks here. I can see there are a lot of folks who are working currently. Those who are those who are there are many who are college students. There are many who are fresher. So, okay, that's good. That's good. Good to know. So, basically you basically I just wanted to give an intro about now myself. So, I've got the bit of idea from you
            • 08:30 - 09:00 guys. Uh so, yeah, like basically my name is Anubh and uh like uh I currently work in Amazon. uh as SD2 in Bangalore. Okay. And uh like uh like in my college days like uh I was a part of Google Summer of Code program. So basically it's an open source program and I've done a bit of computer programming as well and uh I joined Amazon as an SD intern. Then I uh got a PO SD1. Then I
            • 09:00 - 09:30 got then I got promoted in 2023. Uh became Miss D2. So yeah, that's it about my myself. So uh basically everyone of you know like what we'll be doing in this master class. Uh so basically uh this master class uh is majorly is majorly based on you can say uh like how to uh basically uh craft your rum basically like how to craft
            • 09:30 - 10:00 your rum so that you can uh you can say uh make sure that your rĂ©umĂ© gets the maximum attention in the thousands of rum. Uh so that is the major goal today. So we will be talking about very good rĂ©umĂ© tips and uh it's for everyone uh either you are a working either you are a fresher either you are a student so it's for everyone okay so I'll be sharing few tips and tricks which I have followed and uh which I have seen people
            • 10:00 - 10:30 following uh like many of my friends and they have got results from them that's 100% sure so I will just tell you those tips and tricks and obviously at the last I'll share you few of the resumeumate templates which I want okay to you guys so that you can you can even follow those templates okay and uh because uh see guys the very first thing obviously if you are looking for a switch okay if you are trying to go to a good product based company or a good
            • 10:30 - 11:00 startup or any any good company so the very first thing through which you will be applying will be your resume only right because whenever you apply to a job portal or let's say whenever you ping a recruiter of a particular company, you send your rĂ© to them, right? So your rumĂ© is uh one of the most important part of your uh you can say job switching uh task basically. Okay, like whenever you are in this job
            • 11:00 - 11:30 switching scenario, your resume is one of the most important part and uh obviously I'll tell like today I'll tell you those uh important things so that you can uh just start with this. Okay. So this is one particular thing and uh just before starting like I just want to share a small uh info about one of the boot camp which has been started by coding ninjas. Okay. After that I'll just start with the class. So it's the so basically it's a fullstack development boot camp. Okay. And uh this
            • 11:30 - 12:00 boot camp is you can say being conducted by coding ninjas. Okay. because they have a good uh you can say um good they have a good you can say mentors who are in this boot camp and the boot this boot camp is about majorly about fullstack uh web development boot camp okay and it's a 9-month uh uh program okay like it will be the duration of this program is 9 month and the best part is that it is uh sort of a structured boot camp basically that you will be having a
            • 12:00 - 12:30 proper road map a proper syllabus through which you will be going and learning the skills and eventually it will help you to make good uh you can say first web developer get you good skills and they will also be helping you in getting the placement support okay or any doubts you have regarding your placements or anything okay it's a it's a basically 9month boot camp okay and first of all yes it's a paid boot camp and if you are interested in this boot camp or you just want to get the info
            • 12:30 - 13:00 regarding it I am sharing one form link in the chat Okay. So just fill out the form link uh if you are interested. So they so the thing is that uh once you fill out this form you can you can have a call with the code ninjas team. Just inquire about the boot camp like what's the boot camp is about okay and what are the fees. Uh also there are scholarships as well. So you can even query about okay what sort of scholarships you can get. So you can even uh inquire about that. So you can just inquire and if you
            • 13:00 - 13:30 feel okay that's it's good it's suitable for you then you can go ahead with the boot camp. So this form is majorly for you can say uh I would say like it's majorly for uh uh like just getting connected with the you can say coding team and just inquire about the uh boot camp. So I've shared the form. So if you're interested just uh fill up the form okay and you can just have a chat with the coding team. Okay, because they they will connect
            • 13:30 - 14:00 with you. So, yep. Now, let's just start with the master class. Okay, so I hope you have got the idea. I've sent the form link in the chat. So, if you want to fill, please go ahead. Okay, and uh now let's just start. So, I will be sharing some slides uh for the resumeum tips which I have prepared and after that we can start. Okay, great. Uh, yep, I guess my screen is visible to everyone and uh,
            • 14:00 - 14:30 yep. So, yeah, the as I talked about, we will be discussing the popular or you can say one of the resumeum it tips which are very much important to follow and basically you must follow these tips in order to uh get maximum benefit out of your resume. Okay. So, uh, see uh in a rum uh what is the most important part? Okay, first of all, let's see. Okay, so let's say if you are a working
            • 14:30 - 15:00 professional. Okay, so for you guys, I would say the work experience that you have. Okay, that is one of the most uh you can say important topic. And uh the second most important topic is your projects. Specifically, I'm talking about working professionals. Those who are working professional, let's say those who are currently working in a particular company. Let's say as a let's say example I'm giving a Java developer or let's say a MST developer or even let's say a software engineer and you are looking for a switch then whatever work you have done in the previous
            • 15:00 - 15:30 company you need to put it in the resumeum properly so that that can help you in obviously uh showing a good impact okay uh whatever you have written a previous company okay and let's say if you are a fresher or if you are a college student and let's say you don't have any internship experience okay because I know that there might be a lot of folks who don't have any internship experience. So for you guys the projects part is the most important part which you need to focus upon. Okay. Because
            • 15:30 - 16:00 see ultimately if you're applying for a technical role uh the other person wants to see okay that what technical things you have solved or you have built. Okay. So if you have proper work experience then it's good. If you don't have a work experience then your projects is very much important. Okay. And let's say if you don't have that concrete work experience, there might be many people that those who don't have much of a good work experience. So for them also projects matter, project will matter a
            • 16:00 - 16:30 lot. Okay. So just focus on these two topics. Okay. And I will talk about like how to showcase it in the rum. Okay. So uh the next thing the very first thing is it tailor tailor your resume. So basically it's majorly about like it depends on like what sort of job you are applying. Okay. Let's say if you are applying for a backend specific job. So you know that that in your rumĂ© the backend specific skills should be highlighted if you're applying for a backend specific job. Uh the thing is
            • 16:30 - 17:00 that if you are going uh let's say if you have a back end specific job and you have a back end specific job role and you are in your resume most of the highlighted terms are related to front end. So obviously your chances of getting shortlisted in that particular job role will be very less. Okay. So make sure that what you can do is uh you can just prepare a rumĂ© maybe prepare three rum let's say one for back end one for front end specific roles and one for let's say fullstack developer role something like that or any other role. So a lot of people do this basically
            • 17:00 - 17:30 those let's say who want who are like okay with going with uh one of the maybe they want to go to front end maybe they want to go to back end they're okay with any of the side so they do it like this specifically okay so do this specifically okay and now comes the professional experience okay so this is uh like one of the uh most important part as I told uh which you need to follow is your professional experience so what is professional experience like whatever
            • 17:30 - 18:00 uh you can say you have done whatever the work experience you have you need to just put out the work you have done in the previous companies okay in a very good way okay so the very first thing is that uh like you need to mention the impact what you have created rather than just writing okay so basically see there is one way to write is okay that in your previous company let's say you worked on a Java project so you are mentioning okay that build this service using Java or build this some build this something using this particular framework. So this
            • 18:00 - 18:30 is one way of writing it and the other way of writing is that that you build the service you uh using Java which uh actually which actually you can say uh which actually improved the overall revenue of the company by 50%. Let's say okay so the thing is here is guys that this is the impact what you are trying to show. Okay. So now this impact is very much important. Okay. uh that at least puts some impact what you have created in a previous company. Okay.
            • 18:30 - 19:00 Maybe you have helped him helped them in increasing the revenue. Maybe you have helped them in getting let's say more clients. Maybe you have helped them in let's say improving some technical uh you can say metrics maybe like uh latency availability or error rates like whatever whatever uh anything technical you have done maybe you have maybe you have automated some tool. So maybe you have built some tool which automates some particular process in your company and which has eventually helped a lot of manpower uh you can say manpower and it
            • 19:00 - 19:30 has eventually saved a lot of SDRs uh basically uh of different basically in your basically team or your company. So the thing is that you need to mention this impact because this impact will showcase that okay that whatever work you have done you have done something good okay you have done something good and it is actually meaningful for the people uh that okay that uh it it has actually helped the company overall okay so see this is very much important guys professional experience is very much important and if I show you one of the
            • 19:30 - 20:00 example so this is one of the example which I want to show you so this is uh what one of the example of my friend's resume which I have taken. So if you see here uh I'll show you how he has written the impact. Okay. And it's not like you need to write impact at every point. Just mention few of the impacts. Okay. So if I say here let's say uh if you see here let's say this is one of the impact which I was talking about uh or maybe let's say take this uh spearheaded initiatives to boost motor team sales by 15% for both two wheelers and
            • 20:00 - 20:30 four-wheelers through sop uh through sophisticated customer targeting. all these things. Um something like the developed multiple subsystem to support the operations team this this this and reduced manual monitoring needs by 30%. Okay. And let's say this uh something like this uh this this this project this project alone led to increase in customer conversion rates leading to $200 million increase in revenue optimized recommendation system resulting in $100 million additional revenue through improved engagement and
            • 20:30 - 21:00 conversions. So see this is like one of the professional experience uh like in which you want to write and yes just mention it very clearly about the company uh about the role you were in maybe you can mention which sort of team inside you were in and the duration and clearly write the technical skills what you had uh basically the technical uh basically the things the frameworks the languages the tools what you have worked in that particular company just put it here basically in this way so this is
            • 21:00 - 21:30 one of A very nice way to put okay and uh yes depending upon your like what impact you have created you can even you can format that okay but yeah this is one of the way in which we write okay so you need to look upon your impact what you have created in a previous company so this is one of the important thing okay and uh yep so this thing is done this was about professional experience and specifically uh those who are doing internships those who have done
            • 21:30 - 22:00 internships or those who are having work experience they need to follow this very much u like they need to they need to write this very much properly okay because this is one of the important part in your resume okay now the thing is your technical skills okay like everyone writes like about what all technical skills uh basically you know okay so when you write a technical skills okay just make sure that uh you are not writing something which is uh which which basically you don't know
            • 22:00 - 22:30 Just for the name sake you are writing okay let's say in the job description it was mentioned okay that you should be knowing about Python but let's say you don't know Python okay so the thing is that just don't write anything incorrect over there okay because the thing is that uh because uh it it is not because let's say if the interviewer finds out eventually okay that okay that the person has mentioned this particular language and the person had doesn't have any any context on that so it's a like it's it's obviously that you will be
            • 22:30 - 23:00 rejected from the interview. Okay. So, it's better not to write anything wrong. Okay. Uh just have a good and uh like just just write something which you actually know. Okay. Or let's say if you are a beginner or you are a you are a basic uh you know few basic you know have frameworks or languages at a basic level. So maybe you can write in the bracket as a beginner or a basic something like that. Okay, that you know bas Java in bracket basics something like that you can mention okay and uh just categorize your technical skills
            • 23:00 - 23:30 properly like in this you can see that the categorization is done like uh programming languages and framework database and messaging system cloud platforms properly uh you can say segregation has been done okay so let's say if you're if you are talking about front end maybe you can just write uh like okay that front-end frameworks you know or maybe like front- end deployment tools you know okay or let's say you know about uh front end uh monitoring systems you know okay all these things you can even mention over there or maybe like
            • 23:30 - 24:00 something you can you know about different of these uh component libraries do you know so you can just mention about that in this particular technical skills if you are uh if you have front end specific resumeum so this is one particular thing and yes this is important for everyone um because everyone wants to mention their technical skills and this is very much important okay and now comes one of the most important topic after your work experience and specifically for the folks who don't have any work experience and for the folks also let's say who
            • 24:00 - 24:30 have less work experience or those who who have don't have much of concrete work experience so for you guys projects will matter a lot okay because this is one of the most important thing which I want to tell you because projects are very much important okay because uh I have seen that many people because see like I have actually went through a lot of rums. Okay. Uh and I have seen that lot of people lot of people have those basic projects in their rum. Okay. And
            • 24:30 - 25:00 the thing is that on the due to that only they are not able to get shortlisted because see if I am seeing 10 rum. Okay. And out of let's say out of 10 eight of the rĂ©umĂ© is eight of the rums are having some basic projects. let's say some tic-tac-toe game or let's say some uh some Instagram clone, Amazon clone, okay? Or maybe like sorting visualizer, some ticket booking system. So see these are very basic projects
            • 25:00 - 25:30 which will not help your rum to get shortlisted. You need to build something good. Okay, you need to build something good which will eventually help you to get uh you can say uh get shortlisted. So just make sure that whatever projects you are making are good okay and they have a good idea okay and it it is not those very basic projects which you see in every other rum okay and uh see because uh specifically for the folks who are in college or fresh or who are
            • 25:30 - 26:00 fresher or let's say who don't have much of a work experience so for you guys the other parameter through which you can be uh you can say shortlisted for an uh interview or let's say shortlist listed for in test is your uh projects apart from your work experience because if I see okay that this person has built okay two to three good projects then it will eventually uh because it will eventually create a good impact of you basically okay and uh uh this is one thing okay uh
            • 26:00 - 26:30 about the projects which I talked about just don't write basic now the thing is how to get good project ideas okay and now this is a very common question guys which many people ask like how to get good project ideas. So see guys, first of all uh see there is like uh good project ideas. Okay, just a very simple thing is just do a brainstorming session with uh just do a brainstorming session. Okay, maybe like just sit for 1 hour. Okay, just write down maybe like what latest technologies are being used
            • 26:30 - 27:00 currently. Maybe you can write about blockchain, maybe you can write about uh ideas related to AI. Maybe you can write about ideas related to let's say augmented reality. Okay. Or let's say even if you want to maybe mix match something, let's say webdev plus augmented reality or let's say webdev plus AI, you can do that. You can do that. Just the thing is that just brainstorm and think about the ideas basically, right? Because that is very much important. Okay? Because uh you need good ideas. Okay? You need good
            • 27:00 - 27:30 ideas. Uh and then work upon that. Then work upon that. Okay? And once you have because like if I because in my college also uh in my college also like during my college I actually uh got uh like basically whatever the projects I build okay uh I like those were not uh I know that initially the the my projects used to be very basic okay then I started you can say focusing on some projects which are interesting basically okay let's say the projects which I built in my major
            • 27:30 - 28:00 uh or let's say in you have a major project, you have a minor project, okay, whatever you build. So that was something unique which I can put in my resume which I have put in my resume basically when I was applying specifically actively. Okay, so this is the case that you need to get good project ideas. Okay, first thing I told you that you can do a brainstorming session. Okay. And the next thing the next thing what you can do is uh this is very very important guys. If you have sufficient time if you have if even if
            • 28:00 - 28:30 you have a weekend uh just a weekend available let's say you are taking let's say because many of you who are working they might be having let's say one day or two day off in their offices or let's say folks who are in college okay they might be they would be having off on let's say Saturday Sunday or let's say even on on let's say on Sunday only. So participate in hackathons. Okay. So how many of you know about hackathons? Please tell me in the chat. Or let's say how many of you have participated in one. Uh just tell me in the chat yes or
            • 28:30 - 29:00 no. Okay. I can see two. Yes. Okay. Okay. I'm getting few nos. Okay. Okay. Okay. So I can see that yeah that few of the people have participated but maximum uh are the folks those who have
            • 29:00 - 29:30 not participated in hackathon. So the thing is that guys see uh first of all let's discuss what is a hackathon basically. Okay. So hackathon is basically a sort of a e competition basically. Okay. Where you actually work on a solution for a particular problem. Okay. So basically uh hackathon is a is a competition first of all let's say uh it's ideally of 24 hours or 48 hours or 12 hours it depends but ideally 24 hours you get a 1 day
            • 29:30 - 30:00 time frame. Okay where you have to work upon a particular problem statement and you have to build something out of it. Okay. So let's say uh someone will give you some problem. Let's say someone will give you some problem that okay that um I have a problem related to let's say uh I want to let's say uh you a you use use a particular AI tool in my company and want to fast up the development process of the teams. Okay. So now you have a
            • 30:00 - 30:30 particular problem that okay that this person needs to use the AI in in improving the development uh process of their company. So now the thing is that uh depending upon the problem you will find out okay what solution you can develop to uh to basically solve this problem and you will get a time frame. Let's say you will get a 24-hour time frame or a 48 hour time frame depending upon the hackathon and in that time frame you will be actively working on a particular uh project. Okay. And the thing is that guys that uh during the
            • 30:30 - 31:00 24hour it will be very much helpful for you. You will be learning a hell lot of a things. Okay. And uh the thing is that uh you will be learning a hell lot of a things because uh you will be actively working on building a solution uh like I will tell you my example like during my college days like during my second and third year I have participated in lot of hackathons I can say easily like 15 to 20 hackathons and most of most of them at that time used to be offline like I my college was in uh NOA so I used to go
            • 31:00 - 31:30 to like Delhi Gura or let's say greater Nida or in different different colleges to participate in hackathons dur and they used to happen mostly during the week like it used to happen let's say on Saturday or Sunday and it used to be a one day hackathon and then we used to come back so the thing was that like at that time I learned a lot of technologies because the thing is that uh I went there and let's say few of my I obviously I went with a team of three to four people and let's say few of them are knowing some technology and I am not
            • 31:30 - 32:00 knowing it so I used to learn the technology during that time frame only okay and it helped me because at that time my friends were there to guide me okay this particular technology is there they helped me okay what are the syntaxes how this technology works how this framework works all those things and eventually like I have learned like you can say flask Django react during those hackathon time okay and then I have like uh during my then I when I came back to college I used to like go through the you can say online videos and just understand about the technology
            • 32:00 - 32:30 what it is so the thing is that uh when I went through this hackathon phase I got to learn lot of technologies I got good projects in my resume because whenever I used to go to hackathon uh at most of the time I used to uh you can say work on something good okay so basically I got like you can say easily like three to four good projects out of those hackathons okay which I can showcase in my resume okay which has eventually held me a lot in getting shortlisted okay so this is one of the
            • 32:30 - 33:00 thing and so specifically guys even if you are let's say working even if you are a college student, even if you are a fresher, participate in these hackathons, okay? Because this will help you a lot in improving your development skills and specifically if you are a college student, I will highly recommend you to please, please, please participate in hackathons, okay? Because it will help you in getting your resume very much stronger because uh you will be first of all whenever you will come in hackathon, you'll be building you'll you'll be working on something very much good. Okay, you'll be working on
            • 33:00 - 33:30 something very much good and in that case you will be having good projects in your resume and let's say if you win a particular hackathon because these hackathons have a good prizes as well. Okay. So you can even uh if you win in that particular hackathon you can get good prizes you can get good cash prizes. Okay. And the thing is that you can even put that achievement in your resume that okay that you got a first rank in this particular hackathon or you got uh second rank out of thousand teams in this particular hackathon or whatever
            • 33:30 - 34:00 rank you get basically you can even put that. So this is a very very good thing which I wanted to mention out that please please please participate in hackathons. Okay. Because uh like I have seen people like those who don't know anything about hackathon and the thing is that u like ideally they are not having uh then they are not having good projects in their resume but I like I have at least seen like in my college like the folks who used to participate in hackathons they were having really really good projects in their resume.
            • 34:00 - 34:30 Okay. Why that was the case? because they used to go in hackathon work on something unique then uh come in the college polish that project okay maybe improve that project increase its functionality and all those things and it has eventually helped them to you can say make good projects in the rum add good projects in the resumeum okay so this is one thing so I hope that guys you now participate in the hackathons I'll I'll share few websites okay where you can find out different hackathons okay uh one is this dev
            • 34:30 - 35:00 defolio.co okay and one is this devost.com so I used to look up for hackathons in and there are many online hackathons as well if you can't go somewhere uh so there are many online hackathons as well okay so please please please try to participate in that as well okay if you're not able to go somewhere I would say these are a very good tool through which you can improve your skills guys okay so I hope this is
            • 35:00 - 35:30 clear. Okay. Now, uh Okay. I guess lot of folks joined late. Okay. So, for the folks specifically those who have joined late and have not filled the uh full stack web development boot camp form, I'm sharing the form link again, okay, in the chat. So, feel free to you can say uh fill the form. Okay. So it's a basically a web development boot camp which is being organized by coding ninjas and it's a ninth month it's
            • 35:30 - 36:00 basically 9 month boot camp and the thing is that uh this particular boot camp has a proper structured road map okay and you will be building a lot of projects you will be having lot of mock interviews you will be having doubt support you will be having all your placement assistance till you get your job okay and uh it's basically a paid boot camp but you can fill the form get the idea about the scholar ship get the idea about the road map and figure it out if it suits you or not and if it suits you then you can go ahead with the boot camp. Okay.
            • 36:00 - 36:30 So I shared the link in the chat. So now yes guys now let's come up with the questions. So let's let's do a short Q&A. So do you have any doubts? Uh you can put in chat and after that I'll continue with the further slides. Uh okay, someone is saying is a BCA degree enough to get into product based companies with two years of experience?
            • 36:30 - 37:00 Uh yes, you can go ahead. Uh I know that many of the companies require BTE but uh uh maybe if you have experience you can try for that. Can you share more details about Amazon interview? Uh uh yes I can share basically uh see uh like what I can tell you about the interview is uh see like I I gave the interview for SD intern. So it was having two rounds specifically
            • 37:00 - 37:30 and in both the rounds I was asked like you can say four uh questions like in each round they they asked me two questions and uh the very first round sorry before these two rounds there was one coding contest as well which I gave. So in the coding contest I remember there were around three questions two to three questions were there I'm not 100% sure but two to three questions were there and in the interview in each round I was having two particular questions and those were you can say I would say
            • 37:30 - 38:00 those were easily like lead code medium yeah those are like lead code medium questions lead code hard I would not say but yeah those were lead code medium questions uh so yeah okay The next question is what's the best way to apply for any company? See um if you are desperately looking for a job so I would say uh you should do everything which is possible which is like first of all is apply for apply for
            • 38:00 - 38:30 the job on the job portal. Try to get referrals from different people. Try to reach out recruiters from different uh you can say for different companies. uh uh look for different websites like there are there are many websites no is one of them no is like one of the good website where you'll get a good uh job applications LinkedIn is there wellfound is there instire is there you can uh just uh you can say uh apply like uh on these like apply to
            • 38:30 - 39:00 different jobs on these portals okay and reach out to different recruiters coldmail different people if you're desperately looking for job so there is a best way The only thing is that apply wherever is possible. Get referrals wherever is possible. Reach out to uh uh reach out to different people wherever is possible. Sir, can you please uh share the link again? Okay, I'll share. Uh which link are you asking about? Okay, someone is asking
            • 39:00 - 39:30 uh what's the best way? How many months to learn DSA? uh see it depends uh see it's not like see if you have if you don't have any idea about DSA maybe you have not done preparation before so maybe it will take some initial time but let's say if you if you have already done some preparation before or you have at least you know some topics before then it will take like I would say uh like maybe like five 6 months uh in order to get good in DS or like 3 4 months also it depends like how much time you
            • 39:30 - 40:00 are willing to give okay if you let's say on a daily basis you are only giving let's say 1 to 2 hours then it will not be enough then it might take you longer but let's say if you are willing to give an on a daily basis let's say uh 3 to 4 hours or let's say on a weekend you are giving even beyond that then obviously you will be able to do it fast but yeah it totally depends like how many uh how much experience of DSA you have before but let's say considering if you don't have if you have only very basic experience of DSA before then it will
            • 40:00 - 40:30 take you around like let's say like 5 to 6 months months or like maybe like four to five months. Yeah. How to prepare for this role? Which role guys? Which role? Uh yeah, I'll share the form link again in the chat. Okay, I've shared the form link. Which role you are talking about? Is there a time limit for solving DSA questions during interview each question? uh uh ideally what I have seen is that uh an interviewer tries to basically uh like basically at least get
            • 40:30 - 41:00 two questions in the interview but let's say if in an if in a question you are taking too much long time then maybe like interviewer will switch to the next question okay so ideally you can say you you you should solve a question at least in an in half an hour basically because an interview is ideally around like 45 to 1 hour 45 minutes to 1 hour. So solve it like in most like before half an hour a single question.
            • 41:00 - 41:30 Okay. Someone is saying that I am in third year only only one hackathon. Now there's only two. Yeah. See, I'm just saying hackathon is a way to get good project ideas. It's just a way if if you if you are not able to participate in hackathon. Uh you you can even build
            • 41:30 - 42:00 good projects on your own as well. It's nothing like you need to participate. It's just a way through which you can get some good experience of a hackathon. Maybe like if you win the hackathon, you get a good cash price, you can put in the resume. It's just one of the way you can if you are able to get good if you are able to build let's say good project ideas on your own, it's fine. Nothing nothing wrong with that. uh I'm a fresher 2022 pass out now I need a job what should I do see like it's uh just just prepare it apply make
            • 42:00 - 42:30 your resume strong these are very basic things you need to take care of okay so how many Uh no man okay uh let's do one thing uh let's uh I guess I have shared the info about the projects okay now let's come to the next part after that I'll take some
            • 42:30 - 43:00 questions more okay uh otherwise I will be uh yeah I'll I'll share the uh the resumeum templates guys don't worry I'll share the resumeum templates just wait for a while I'll share the templates okay so this is done projects part and uh and one more thing Guys, uh whenever you are writing a project, okay, detail in your uh resumeumĂ©, if you can like one thing is that just um you need to make sure that you have a GitHub repository of a project, okay, where you have all your code mentioned and uh in
            • 43:00 - 43:30 in your in your GitHub repository, you have seen that there are there is a thing called uh readme readme file. So, just make sure that you have a proper readme file. Okay, just mention okay that uh what is your project about? Okay. Uh what does it solve? What was the problem which is solving? Or maybe like uh tell about the technologies what you have used, why you have used the technologies, attach some small screenshots of the project or maybe have a small video of the project. Okay? So
            • 43:30 - 44:00 all these things do in your readme file. Okay? And link your GitHub repository in your resume. And if you can host the project somewhere live then then it is also very good. Then then that is the best. But if you cannot host a project then at least have a good readadme file of of in your GitHub repository. Okay. So but yeah a GitHub repository is a must and uh populate the readme.md file properly basically. Okay. And uh you can even mention in your resume let's say
            • 44:00 - 44:30 ideally there is a case that okay that maybe you have built a project which was like on which let's say four to five people worked or maybe like three people worked but let's say you only worked on the front end part and don't know much about the back end. So you can mention in the project that okay that your role was on the front end side and on the front end side you developed this this this particular thing. Okay. Now the next thing is honors and awards basically. Okay. So basically this is majorly about the achievements. Whatever achievements you have got and one thing is that guys just don't put anything
            • 44:30 - 45:00 which is uh non-technical in the achievement. If you are applying for a uh technical role, okay, so make sure that you are putting only technical achievements there. Don't don't put uh let's say you won that particular debate competition or you let's say uh uh let's say you won a particular badminton competition, a chess competition, don't put it. Okay? Because let's say if you have got some achievement in a particular technical
            • 45:00 - 45:30 event it can be a hackathon it can be a conference technical conference uh you it can be a coding round achievement it can be a coding quiz achievement anything anything so whatever your achievements are it should be technical and the thing is that uh if you see this particular example if I I have I have like deliberately put in this uh example and just wanted to tell you like what's the right way of writing the achievement and what's the wrong way okay so if you see this uh In this particular example, uh the way the achievement which is
            • 45:30 - 46:00 written like okay top five by 200 okay 376 out of 15622 code forces around and all these things. So this is the correct way. Okay. In which you are uh you can say uh in which you are like mentioning uh uh like uh the relativeness basically if you got a particular rank in how many people okay because many people okay that I got second in. So basically if you see this example like winner at atlas hack okay so no one knows like
            • 46:00 - 46:30 okay if if someone if if I was the winner no one knows okay that and in how many people I won the atlas hack was it like thousand teams was it like 100 team or was it like only 10 teams I don't know so put the relativeness here which is important to get more credibility of your achievement okay so I hope this is this is clear okay and the next part is obviously uh if you have done all those things let's say um I talked about the professional experience I talked about
            • 46:30 - 47:00 the technical skills I talked about the projects I talked about the honors and awards next you can put as your u if you have done some certifications let's say if you have done some AWS certification you can put that if you have done some any other good certification you can put that uh and let's say if you have published some research papers you can put that so that is also one thing which you can do okay and obviously you need to mention your education from which college you are the graduation year the duration you were in the college uh what
            • 47:00 - 47:30 CGPA you got what was the course curriculum of your uh graduation what like just mention about that was it like because many people do let's say B tech and um they do bet and let's say mechanical so you need to mention mechanical basically just basically the branch basically which I want to tell okay so I hope this part is clear to everyone education part I already told in the simple way you need to write you need to write the CGPA as well Okay. Uh if obviously like write the CGP only if it is I like what I think a good CGP is
            • 47:30 - 48:00 above seven. So if you have if you have a good CGP above seven it's good to write. Uh so yeah that's one more thing. But yeah like I hope you have got the idea okay what all things are important in your resume and what all things are not. Okay. So one thing I want to share you with you guys. I'm sharing few templates which I want you guys to follow. Okay. So just give me like and this is a template like which I have followed uh
            • 48:00 - 48:30 during uh during my you can say job uh like job finding phase and what my friends have followed during uh like during their job switching or job finding phase. So I'm sending that link uh in the chat. So you can rely on this. This is one of the very good uh you can say rum templates and I can send you one more. [Music]
            • 48:30 - 49:00 Right. Okay. So you can even follow. So I have shared two particular templates if you can see in the chat I have put in there. Okay. So these two templates are one of the uh good templates which I have followed like I specifically followed the first one and uh even my friends have followed the first one. You can follow any of that. There's nothing wrong. But uh yeah like follow particular templates stick on it improve the rĂ©umĂ© because see guys rum is uh
            • 49:00 - 49:30 very very very important as I told. Okay. Okay. Now I can take some questions. I know that there were lot of questions. So let's take some questions and yeah guys if you have any questions just put it in the chat. Okay. Someone is saying that I want to switch to Amazon. uh how much knowledge of system design HLD and LD is required SD1/ SD2 so see guys in most of the companies in most of the companies
            • 49:30 - 50:00 uh SD1 is a beginner is is is sort of a entry- level SD role in a particular company SD1 okay so at SD1 level uh in maximum companies only DSA is asked okay but but but there are few companies which might ask you bit about LLD as well design they'll not ask you about HLD but they might ask you an LLD but in Amazon for SD1 only DSA is asked only DSA.
            • 50:00 - 50:30 Okay. So I hope it is clear. Okay. Now uh okay okay let's take some other questions. Uh what if we cracked any competitive exams like GATE can we include it? Uh yes if you have done that uh yeah GATE is a good technical exam which you can
            • 50:30 - 51:00 add it in your resume. I would say yeah try to add it. Nothing wrong with it. Okay. Someone is saying what's what is the basic need for hackathons. I'm just telling you about hackathons in order to just get the good idea okay just to get the good idea about how to make good projects okay nothing uh if you can build your projects on your own it's good but let's say if you're not able to build projects on your own go to hackathon participate in the hackathon
            • 51:00 - 51:30 there are lot of other teams as well who participate in hackathons get to see what they are building as well maybe you can just pick some idea from their ideas as well and then you can work upon that that is one more And yeah for SD2 uh SD1 I already told DSA for SD2 yes DSA plus LLD plus HLD all these things are required uh and yeah guys if you in Amazon if
            • 51:30 - 52:00 you're coming for let's say SD1 okay uh SD1 as I told is the entry- level SD role uh so for uh SD1 role not much experience is required maybe like one plus years of experience and there are many uh there are many like uh fresher SD roles as well. So you can even apply for that in Amazon. Okay. SD2 ideally I would say 3 to four years of experience is at least required to come for SD2. Okay.
            • 52:00 - 52:30 Okay, someone is saying many companies like Amazon even with proper resumeum and skills like language ASI got rejection mail not even get into aptitude. So see guys the very first thing is that which I want to tell you that uh whenever uh like first of all whatever rum you are preparing according to you you know that okay that your rum
            • 52:30 - 53:00 is good but at least get it reviewed by a lot of people okay though those who can review a rum and they can tell okay what are the mistakes or okay is it really good or not okay even then you are getting rejection if you're applying on a particular uh job uh role okay then I would say try to reach out to the recruiter okay directly on the LinkedIn Okay, it's like directly reach out to the recruiter or maybe directly reach out to the engineering managers of different company and uh try to get the interview uh scheduled
            • 53:00 - 53:30 basically. Okay. Okay. What are the other Okay, I can see. Wait, wait. I guys I'll pick questions one by one. Don't worry. Uh okay. Okay, this thing I have answered uh I'm a final year student. Uh I have a knowledge of DSS concept but I haven't got good hands- on experience. How long to get ready to uh you a final year student. Okay, if you're a final year
            • 53:30 - 54:00 student uh practice just practice DSA just practice a lot. Okay, because DSA is just like the more you practice the more your hands will be set on the DSA and the more your logical thinking will be improved and you will be a it's only about see DSI would say just like a maths okay or maybe like physics okay that you you know a particular sense of a theory now the thing is that you need to apply that theory to solve a problem okay so think it think it like that
            • 54:00 - 54:30 specifically Okay. Okay. Okay. Someone is saying if I want to showcase strong projects I have worked at on at
            • 54:30 - 55:00 my company. See see guys whatever the projects you have worked in your company. Okay you can't showcase that obviously okay that you can't show because that will be okay but the projects you need to show is the projects that you have built on your own specifically means the personal projects which I'm talking about. So see whatever the work you have done in the previous company you need to put it in the work experience and whatever projects you have built on your own the self projects basically or which are not meant for any
            • 55:00 - 55:30 company. Okay. So you need to uh use those particular projects to put it in a project section not the company related projects. Okay. Which is very much important. Okay. Next thing is please recommend good template for I have already shared the template link. Uh I'll share again. Okay. So this is the these are like
            • 55:30 - 56:00 two template link which I've shared and yeah guys uh one thing yeah rum try to uh you can say uh try to get your rum in one page okay don't uh go beyond one page because that is sort of industry uh st industry you can say standard practice practice which you follow in the industry that uh try to make it in one page okay and uh let's
            • 56:00 - 56:30 say if you are very much experienced let's say you are like four five six years of experience and you have lot of show then maybe you can go beyond one page but I would say fit everything in one page remove the cluttered thing remove the noisy thing from your resume only put some uh the things which are very much uh which can help you in getting shortlisted
            • 56:30 - 57:00 Okay. Uh yeah, a PDF I don't have what currently but yeah the resumeum template which I have shown you can follow that. Okay. How to get into fintech companies? Nothing. See just uh just do your see the basic interview are very much
            • 57:00 - 57:30 similar in most of the companies. Okay. So just practice the uh you can say DSA or the designing thing just practice it and you will land in any company rather it be fintech or e-commerce or cloud any any company you will be able to get it any any company. Okay. So I hope that part is also clear and one what are the common mistakes must be avoided. Yeah. One thing what
            • 57:30 - 58:00 one common mistake which I see is that many people do spelling mistakes. Okay. So I have seen lot of rums in which the spelling is not correct of lot of words. So that is not a good professional thing. Uh that that seems very unprofessional. Okay. that okay that you have a rum and you have you have done a spelling mist you have done a lot of spelling mistakes in that. So make sure that whatever you are uh whatever you are whatever you are building okay whatever the rum you are building okay
            • 58:00 - 58:30 there are no spelling mistakes use uh use the AI tools GPT or whatever you want to use uh to improve your rum okay uh one thing now I I can see that there are some questions regarding the coding ninjas boot camp in the chat. Okay. So, I'll just hand it over to the coding ninjas team. Okay. So, they will take like five more minutes and we'll let you
            • 58:30 - 59:00 know uh about the boot camp details. Okay. If you want to get and if you have any questions regarding boot camp, you can ask in the chat and they can clarify that as well. Okay. So, I'll just hand it over to the coding team. Uh sure. So thank you so much first of all for such an insightful and informative session and yes as we are getting questions around the job boot camp by coding ninjas. So for that let
            • 59:00 - 59:30 me introduce our program manager Mr. Pinku Pande. He'll be just taking another 10 to 15 minutes explaining each and everything around the boot camp. How this would be helpful for the people who are looking for the transition that they want into the industry and as well as for the people who are already into the industry and want to grab better opportunities by upskilling themselves. So thank you so much once again uh Anab and now I would request Pinku to take on from here. Uh welcome to the master class Pu first of all uh requesting you
            • 59:30 - 60:00 to take on from here. Over to you now from here. Sure. Uh so hi guys uh my name is Penu Pande. I'm working as a senior program expert in coding ninjas. Uh so uh there are many of the learners many of the students are asking about the job boot camp of coding ninjas. So let me do one thing. Let me share my screen and uh showcase you how coding job boot camp will be helpful for you to do the transition become a SD right and want to the the candidate who want to get their first job as ASD the learners
            • 60:00 - 60:30 who want to become how coding the job boot camp can be helpful to them. So let me explain you just a minute. Okay. Yes.
