Overview
Pastor David Gates shares a compelling sermon focusing on the challenges facing God's church today, particularly the Adventist denomination. He starts by narrating the unwavering faith of John Bunyan, a preacher who preferred imprisonment over compromising his calling, to illustrate the importance of steadfastness in faith. Gates then transitions to addressing modern issues within the church, such as the political and financial alliances it has formed, which might dilute its spiritual mission.
Reflecting concerns about the compromises observed within the church's association with organizations like the United Nations, Pastor Gates elaborates on how these relationships could potentially lead to moral and spiritual degradation. The sermon warns against the dangers of conforming to worldly standards at the cost of divine truths, highlighting the external pressures that push the church towards such alliances.
Gates passionately calls for a renewal of commitment to core Adventist beliefs, urging the congregation to prepare spiritually for the return of Christ. He emphasizes the need to sever worldly ties and adhere strictly to spiritual principles, underscoring that preparedness and vigilance are vital in these times. This sermon evoked a sense of urgency and a call to action for believers to ready themselves for the imminent spiritual challenges.
Chapters
00:00 - 00:30: Introduction and Meal Reflection The chapter titled 'Introduction and Meal Reflection' covers the opening remarks of a speaker addressing an audience in the afternoon. The speaker comments on the quality of the meal served, noting its excellent preparation and taste. Despite the temptation to overeat, the guests remain moderate in their consumption as they engage in conversation and prepare to continue with their schedule.
00:30 - 02:00: John Bunyan's Imprisonment and Perseverance This chapter discusses the imprisonment of John Bunyan, a simple man who was forbidden from preaching. Despite the restrictions, his perseverance in faith is emphasized. Bunyan was arrested and taken to prison on his wedding day, directly from the altar, highlighting the severe measures against his preaching. The setting contrasts with the present freedom to worship, underscoring both gratitude for current liberties and admiration for Bunyan's resilience.
03:00 - 05:00: The Role of Organization in God's Work In this chapter, we learn about an individual who was imprisoned for his commitment to preaching despite being offered freedom if he promised to stop. Every year, he was brought before a judge and given the opportunity to gain his release by agreeing to cease his preaching activities. However, he consistently refused to make this promise, asserting his intention to continue preaching if released. As a result, he endured 12 years in one of London's harshest prisons due to his steadfast dedication to his religious mission.
05:00 - 10:00: Compromises and Challenges Within the Church The chapter discusses the story of a man who remained strong and committed despite facing significant challenges and pressure. His wife played a pivotal role in encouraging him, reminding him that she married a strong man. Despite enduring a long period of misery and suffering due to his situation, he remained faithful. Eventually, a change in leadership and law allowed him to go free, and he continued his preaching. The story raises questions about personal strength and conviction in the face of adversity.
10:00 - 12:00: Accreditation and Church Standards The chapter focuses on the themes of accreditation and church standards, touching upon historical religious literature. It references 'Pilgrim's Progress,' a book written during a time of personal religious conviction, noted for its significance and widespread influence, second only to the Bible. The narrative emphasizes non-compromise in faith, illustrated through the author's experience and the text's enduring legacy.
12:00 - 15:00: Sunday Worship and Government Compromise In the chapter titled 'Sunday Worship and Government Compromise', the congregation begins with a prayer, expressing gratitude for the morning's worship and a community potluck lunch. As the group prepares for an afternoon meeting, they seek guidance and inspiration from the holy spirit for the tasks ahead. The focus is on divine direction and commitment to the forthcoming work.
15:00 - 18:00: Resistance During the Pandemic The chapter 'Resistance During the Pandemic' discusses the power of community and faith during challenging times such as a pandemic. The emphasis is on relying on divine assistance for tasks beyond human capacity. The narrative acknowledges the role of religious organization and its divine inspiration in guiding followers through crises. The power of digital gatherings is also highlighted, showcasing how the internet allows for continued spiritual connection and support among individuals even when physical meetings are not possible.
18:00 - 21:00: Influence of External Forces on Church Operations The chapter discusses the influence of external forces on church operations, emphasizing that organizational efforts should advance the work of God swiftly and not become obstacles. A Spanish term, 'obac,' is introduced, aligning with the concept of an obstacle in this context.
21:00 - 25:00: Challenges in Theological Education This chapter discusses the challenges faced in theological education, emphasizing that the biggest obstacles often come from within the organization itself rather than external forces. Historically, this has been true from the time of Jesus to the Middle Ages. The message suggests a call for introspection and reform within the denomination to better serve God's work.
25:00 - 30:00: Doctrinal Changes and Internal Conflicts The chapter discusses the issues arising from placing human authority above divine authority within religious organizations. It emphasizes that while God desires organization and unity to advance His work, problems occur when human decisions and structures take precedence over divine intentions. The core message is a reflection on maintaining a balance between respecting organizational structures and adhering to divine authority.
30:00 - 40:00: Dissidents and Internal Criticism The chapter titled 'Dissidents and Internal Criticism' discusses the compromises that need to be made by organizations due to their alliances with economic movements, affiliations with international entities like the United Nations, and dependence on government funding. It highlights how such dependencies often lead to the sacrifice of standards and morality in order to align with governmental agendas and the New World Order.
40:00 - 47:00: Spiritual Influences and Historical Intrusion The chapter discusses the influence of government funding and accreditation on religious universities, particularly in terms of compromising values. Sister White advised against such compromises, highlighting issues such as immorality and homosexuality as consequences of these worldly influences.
47:00 - 61:00: Personal Reflections on Missionary Work The chapter 'Personal Reflections on Missionary Work' discusses the perception of institutional accreditation within the context of medical education. It highlights the excellence of Loma Linda as a leading medical institution, suggesting it had unparalleled standards compared to its contemporaries. Dr. Kellogg is mentioned as one of North America's most recognized physicians, emphasizing the institution's high standards. Additionally, the chapter references the notion that some top-tier universities, like Harvard, might not seek accreditation, underlining the argument that accreditation is not always a requisite for demonstrating quality.
61:00 - 67:00: Encouragement in Facing Challenges The chapter titled "Encouragement in Facing Challenges" emphasizes the importance of self-accreditation and setting high standards. The message encourages individuals and educational systems, particularly within the Adventist context, to follow God's plan and set their own standards rather than seeking validation from others. The belief is that by doing so, they fulfill God's intention to be leaders and not followers, thereby becoming the head and not the tail.
67:00 - 75:00: Understanding and Readiness for Jesus' Second Coming The chapter discusses the concept of not relying on worldly approval to confirm one's path. It highlights the challenges facing denominations that have partnered with the government, especially regarding Sunday worship. The difficulty stems from their dependence on governmental support and adherence to certain standards, which could lead to complications if they need to change their stance. Additionally, the chapter briefly mentions the impact of the recent pandemic as a contextual factor.
75:00 - 81:00: Striving Towards Spiritual Preparedness This chapter discusses the role of the Church and its leaders during the pandemic. Despite external pressures, particularly related to health measures like vaccinations ('injections'), the text differentiates between secular responsibilities ('Caesar's work') and spiritual ones. It underscores the Church's duty to continue preaching its message, highlighting that some Evangelical pastors stood firmly for truth, even facing imprisonment as a result. The chapter reflects on the tension between adhering to governmental directives and maintaining faith-based commitments.
Attacks and Changes in God's Church | Pastor David Gates Transcription
00:00 - 00:30 there we go okay good afternoon to everybody I hope you had a good physical meal it's always very very well prepared and tasty here you always almost want to eat too much but because we're talking and because it's time to get back we we are more moderate and we're able to get back
00:30 - 01:00 here without eating too much we are grateful for all of you each of you that are here and most of all we're grateful that God has still given us freedom where we can still worship freely and and still have a place where we can preach present truth it reminds me of John bunan he was only a simple man but they told him he wasn't allowed to preach and they put him in prison on his wedding day they took him directly from the altar
01:00 - 01:30 and took him directly to prison not nice at all but they told him every year every time uh they took him before the judge if you will just promise not to preach anymore we'll let you go and he says I can't if I if I am let out I will preach again and he was there for in one of the worst prisons of London for for 12 years
01:30 - 02:00 I understand and his wife kept encouraging him and telling him no I didn't marry a man to be that was weak I married a man that was strong and his wife encouraged him and eventually eventually the royalty died and the laws changed and they let him go home and he kept on preaching I just wonder how many of us would be so strong to be able to live with so much so much misery for so long just when a simple few words would have set him free but he
02:00 - 02:30 could have said well I'm just going to write I'm not going to preach but he didn't he just said I'm not going to compromise and the book Pilgrims Progress was written during that the last few years what an inspired book I think next to the Bible they say it's the the one book that was has been more read than any other book and more translated than any other book in history well as we continue our the second part of this morning's sermon uh I'll invite you to kneel with me as we
02:30 - 03:00 open up in prayer heavenly father thank you so so much for the blessing of this morning's worship the beautiful potluck lunch that we had and now as we gather for the second afternoon second part for this afternoon's meeting we pray that your holy spirit will guide and direct the words presented our thoughts touch our hearts prepare our minds Lord for the great task ahead and we commit commit
03:00 - 03:30 ourselves to you and ask you to do for us that which we cannot do for oursel we thank you bless those that accompany us over the internet as well in Jesus name amen we had just started talking about uh the denomination in the closing work God has given us organization it is definitely inspired
03:30 - 04:00 of God and is definitely intended for one purpose to organize and Advance the work in a more rapid manner it was never intended to delay or to to uh create an obstacle for God's work there's actually a word in Spanish that uh fits very well and it's OB obac it means to OB obstacle h
04:00 - 04:30 to to create obstacles it was never intended to create obstacles to God's work but we are told that the greatest danger is from within not from without right now it is not other Church organizations or government organizations generally that create an obstacle to God's work it is our own denomination and workers and it was in Jesus time it was in the Middle Ages
04:30 - 05:00 and it is so today and and it's not because God wants it that way it just that sometimes we make human authority more important than Divine Authority and and again we admit very clearly that God created organization God is very organized he wants organization he wants Unity he wants the work to go forward and he has created Organization for that purpose and that purpose alone but
05:00 - 05:30 we have alliances with e commical movements that compromise the work we have attachments to Rome alliances with the United Nations we depend on Government funding and compromises are required to protect our universities hospitals and to follow the New World Order agenda our standards and morality have to be sacrificed if we want to get along with the government if you want government
05:30 - 06:00 funding uh you need to compromise some things you can't be too picky and that's why we have problems with with immorality with homosexuality with uh all kinds of worldly issues creeping in to our to our universities because we want Government funding uh and uh accreditation was a part a problem too um and so sister White always counseled against
06:00 - 06:30 accreditations Loma Linda was one of the best medical institutions Dr Kellogg was one of the most recognized Physicians of North America and what we had nobody else had we did not have to get a creditation from other people who had lower standards than we did and I'm not I haven't verified this but I understand that some universities like Harvard they don't don't seek accreditation
06:30 - 07:00 because they are already accredited by their high standards they said we don't need anybody to tell us if we're okay or not we set the standard everybody else can follow but that's what God intended for us to do he intended for the Advent message and Adventist education system to set the standard to be the head and not the tail and anybody who's at the head doesn't need to be accredited by those that are in the tail so so if we would just follow God's plan
07:00 - 07:30 we do not need the world to say yes you're doing okay uh and what is coming is is Sunday worship and it's going to be almost impossible for the denomination to suddenly turn its back on the standards that they have had with working with the government and depending on Government funding and uh and then say we can't support you now we know that the the pandemic that just went through uh
07:30 - 08:00 brought a lot of a lot of U pressure on the World to receive these injections but that is Caesar's work let Caesar do what Caesar does and give unto God that which is God's it was a Church's responsibility to keep preaching the message some pastors Evangelical pastors stood for stood for truth during the pandemic some of them went to prison and some of them were released some of them
08:00 - 08:30 fought but in Canada there was very little religious liberty many churches were closed and when they went to Worship in in the country government helicopter showed up and arrested the pastors and so Canada one of my favorite countries an easygoing country a very Liberty loving country turned into to be turned out to be a country that was very very oppressive Australia was one of my favorite countries too
08:30 - 09:00 my daughter lives there and when I I would say it was probably my favorite country Australia easygoing people so nice and when they when they first resisted the injection uh they were taught a lesson will'll burn your country down remember all the fires that were there nearly 20,000 kangaroos got burned and the whole country was on fire from the East to the west north to the South it was like you could hardly believe where do fire start like that
09:00 - 09:30 well they learned their lesson the Prime Minister switched sides and he said okay from now on everybody we do exactly what we're told all the fires went out no more fires uh remember you can set fires from satellite with laser you can set fires from everywhere just randomly if you just start firing fires just pop up everywhere on a hot on a hot day so uh when Sunday worship comes it's going to be very hard for the Seventh
09:30 - 10:00 Adventist organization to reverse its stance separate SE separate ties with the with the United Nations seever ties with US government uh suddenly switch sides the truth is they're not going to do it it's asking too much because you can't no no person can Sly well I'm going to just serve Satan all my life and then just before I die I'm going to switch sides is that how it works
10:00 - 10:30 no when when President Trump was inaugurated there was there was President Clinton and his wife sitting there and I thought they're getting older what do they have their his their history of involvement in organized crime and in drug traffic and everything and especially his wife uh very very you can you can look at The Clinton Chronicles if you want to uh put out by Jeremiah films that family
10:30 - 11:00 has been organized crime for a long time but I look I look at I look at them and getting older and I say what do you have and are you ready to walk away from it all and change sides too late you don't get to change sides all of a sudden and if the if our church organization forms all these Tides with Rome and with a new world order and with the United Nations and the US government then one day it'll be the
11:00 - 11:30 it'll be the Sunday and uh they're not going to be able to turn their back on it it's almost it's almost asking too much to even imagine that so uh we have spiritual formation in our universities in our theology departments and today if you want to take theology in our universities uh they watch you closely to see if you're going to be a Yes Man or independent you never graduate if you're going to show an Independence
11:30 - 12:00 Street uh you you filter out theology students way early in the game before anybody could study theology whether you got hired or not is up to you today you don't get to finish theology you never get that far unless you go along with the system from the beginning and so it's really hard for young people who want to become pastors to study that's why I'm grateful for Independent Schools of theology for schools where you can go and study and be and learn all about uh
12:00 - 12:30 our Our Heritage the spirit of Prophecy what we believe and learn how to teach it the president of the Michigan conference who was there for years and years and years my aunt was the secretary to the president for 22 years and that President told me I only hire pastors from Independent Schools of theology I don't hire pastors from the Nextdoor University
12:30 - 13:00 in Michigan he says they don't know what they don't know what they believe and they will not produce Souls whereas if I hire pastors from independent universities uh Adventist schools of training they know what they believe they will work hard they will bring souls in and they will they will produce so that's what he told me some years ago now we have a different president in Michigan conference and and all the world can see what kind of what kind of
13:00 - 13:30 administration we have at this time the pressures that are put on our pastors some of the changes in our church uh remember I'm talking about attacks by the devil on God's people uh I'm not I'm not talking about attacking the church I'm talking about the attacks that the church has suffered but we have changed a lot because of these attacks uh 2015 General Conference changing our fundamental beliefs taking away the
13:30 - 14:00 imminent coming of Jesus as one of our fundamental beliefs and also the inspiration of the spirit of Prophecy and uh then we have the church manual I remember I remember at the general conference in Toronto um three days three days there was discussion to change the church manual defining the discipline of adultery and immorality in the church
14:00 - 14:30 and it was three days they went added back and forth and it became very clear that the conservative Adventist from Africa South America from u a Central interamerican Division um these conservative more conservative uh areas of the world and they're very numerous delegates we're not going to tolerate a change uh in the in the definition in other words you adultery in a church a
14:30 - 15:00 little slap on your hands everything goes back to normal but adultery is a very serious problem and they were trying to Europe especially in North American divisions were trying to make it very light to commit adultery not too many not too much discipline well they went at it for three days I listened very carefully and finally when it came time to a vote I said now we're g to find out what the position is going to be who's going to win I was wrong instead of taking it to a boat they did
15:00 - 15:30 something very astute the chairman that was that the vice president who was chairing that meeting said we're going to table it for right now and we'll deal with it tomorrow well normally that's not a problem but the way they dealt with it tomorrow was the following at 8:00 sharp when the meeting started all of the Americans and all of the Europeans
15:30 - 16:00 please show up on time let the Africans and the South Americans get their late so at 8:00 they said prayer boom all those in favor took a vat by the time the Africans and the South Americans Latin Americans showed up the vote was already taken and the and the vote was the manual was already changed because as we know those of us that grew up in third world countries the clock doesn't mean as much uh and so they took the vote way early
16:00 - 16:30 before before the opposition could show up and so my question is does the POS does the does a church manual reflect the majority of the church on that particular issue no it was it was done and manipulated so that the the minority could win um so basically when you commit adultery today it's very compared to what it would have been before
16:30 - 17:00 Toronto uh it was a serious sin to be dealt with now it's a very small sin you can divorce you can remarry divorce remarry adultery boom and still continue on uh very normally in your in the church that was one of the changes that was done to the church manual uh there's other other also the independence of church boards a church board could meet and make decisions for
17:00 - 17:30 the church but now the church board cannot meet without the pastor chairing the meeting if the pastor is not present there is no church board and and the pastor's given much more Authority so that basically the church board doesn't decide the pastor decides what happens in the in in that church in that denomination I'm sorry not denomination in that church in that or congregation um then we have then we have the bright theologians and
17:30 - 18:00 theology professors discrediting the sanctuary remember Sister white said there would be strange doctrines creeping in such that there is no sanctuary in heaven that's already taught in many of our seminaries there's no sanctuary in heaven Jesus is not in the most holy Place nothing happened in 1844 this is this is commonly taught by some of our brightest theologians today attacks on last generation theology will there be a
18:00 - 18:30 generation that actually overcomes sin and finally obtains the Seal of God and can stand without an intercessor I believe that but you'll find that that is not a that is not the position of the denomination the standard position of the denomination throughout U throughout all most of our universities I won't say all of them because I don't i' I've spoken in the majority of universities but I haven't spoken in all of them so I can't say but in the majority you
18:30 - 19:00 will find the position of our theology uh theologians and theology departments are we're going to continue to sin until Jesus comes that's some of the that's one of the changes that is fatal will proved to be fatal to many of our our members the relationship with the government um if you want to if you want to see the interview Dr Joyce did with with
19:00 - 19:30 regarding the unit the UN connection just put you can type in YouTube The GC and the UN connection you'll be able to to see the interview and see why we're we're getting very closely tied to the United Nations so that the Adventist Church can operate freely everywhere and be considered a standard Church the philosophy of dealing with dissident now dissidents if you're talking about Alexander saniton
19:30 - 20:00 or Russian dissident it's a name of Honor if you're a dissident with with Communism you're honored by the world but the word dissident is used many times in the church to dishonor somebody if you don't agree with what administration is doing you're called a dissident but but dissident just means I don't agree for example rock music in a church how many of us are dissidents
20:00 - 20:30 do you want rock music in a church then you raise your hand you're a dissident right okay do do you want adultery in a church okay but it but it's accepted it's not disciplin harshly anymore so if you don't agree you're a dissident so dissident is not a bad word did you know that Jesus was a dissident Jesus was the biggest dissident there ever was now there's another term applied to
20:30 - 21:00 many of those who preach present truth alarmist I'm an alarmist that's the job that's the job of the Watchman on the wall what are you supposed to do when you see the enemy coming in sound the trumpet cry aloud spare not tell my people their sins that's what an alarm is does sound the alarm are we living in dangerous times very dangerous times are
21:00 - 21:30 spiritually we're living in dangerous times as well physically crime is increasing War uh violence violent crime uh is increasing all around us and and so we are living in very dangerous the spiritual spiritual danger is the worst um but the tax on Dr con Red Vine and Barbara O'Neal reflect the attitude of how you deal with people who don't agree with
21:30 - 22:00 you dissidents you you you label them try to discredit them try to remove them from office try to keep anybody from inviting them of course they get invited more than they ever did before now all it did was give them more visibility now the whole world is talking about it and so actually it backfires but that's that's an attitude what but it's not just about people who are preaching present truth why is there's so much silence when you see about when you hear
22:00 - 22:30 heresies we all read articles how some of our universities and some of our pastors support homosexuality well God loves everybody God wants us to be accepted God has to change his attitude I've heard some pastors say yeah we're living in different times than we did in the Old Testament now we're living in modern times God has to change his position that's heresy God doesn't change his position right is
22:30 - 23:00 right and wrong is wrong and it always will be God will not change his position but you see pastors hear him talking like that and silence on heresies is from I'm not saying some administrators are bad but they remain silent on bad things and then they come out on opposition of good things I would say that that is similar to Eli was Eli is there anything in the Bible that said Eli was a bad
23:00 - 23:30 man no Eli was a good man but he didn't do anything about evil his problem was that when his sons performed evil he kept silent and did nothing that's the problem we we have an Eli syndrome today in our church we have possibly good men that do nothing about the evil around them when they have the microphone they could stand up they could say something silent but when somebody comes and lifts up
23:30 - 24:00 their hands of warning like Dr Vine or Barbara O'Neal and others then why do they get attacked leave them alone if you're going to leave the bad people alone leave the good people alone too don't just pick on the good people because they're trying to do their best to raise the trumpet and sound the alarm uh Ellen White said we have more to fear from within than from without Sunday keeping she said will be
24:00 - 24:30 encouraged some of our leaders in open meetings will not only trample upon the Sabbath themselves but will encourage members to keep Sunday that's in fact that's already happened but not in an open way but in in U New Orleans after the pandemic One Church in New Orleans was saying let's close the churches on Sabbath let's do me let's do evangelism and on Sunday we'll meet together and we'll talk about what God has done for us on Sabbath but that's of course caving into the the
24:30 - 25:00 whole idea of Sunday keeping um persecution from ex Adventist we are told that ex Adventist will be the worst most bitter enemies against God's people in the last days but I would say ex avist doesn't mean necessarily those that have been thrown out it means those that used to keep the s that used to U that used to support the Sabbath truth or used to support the the the pillars
25:00 - 25:30 of the church and don't no longer do those would be ex Adventists they're just nominal Adventists and why why if you're standing before a judge if you're standing before a judge and he's asking you to to defend yourself of why you keep the seventh day your worst accusers will be your own ex- Brethren why would you say that ex- brethren are more dangerous enemies than
25:30 - 26:00 non-adventist I would like to suggest to you that when the door closes we talked about it this morning when the door closes for the unwise virgins and they're on the outside it's too late for them the holy spirit is withdrawn and they become the worst enemies because they're they no longer have the Holy Spirit speaking to them whereas the judge who is asking you to
26:00 - 26:30 defend yourself and the lawyer who's accusing you might never have heard the truth maybe the holy spirit is speaking to their heart whereas those who the door is closed because they've rejected truth in the past excuse me they they do not have the Holy Spirit talking to them like those who've never heard before so we have to remember not everybody who's asking you to give account for what you're doing is lost
26:30 - 27:00 yet some of them might hear the truth and still accept it the holy spirit is still working on their hearts but nominal Adventists those who used to be Adventists who used to believe in the Advent message they will become the most bitter enemies of God's people influences of Rome inside the church we only know a little bit we're we're not in on the inside story but the question is are there influence uences inside the church from
27:00 - 27:30 Rome well um from from Catholic from Catholic sources like I don't know if some of you remember Dr Vieira who who used to be a Jesuit priest years ago 40 50 years ago I don't know if you remember and uh my dad translated for him at a church in Atlanta uh but uh he said the very first denomination that the Catholic Church
27:30 - 28:00 went after was the Adventist Church now why do you think that's true because the Adventist Church is really the only other Church there is you have a lot of Protestant denominations but they're not fighting Rome they're keeping Sun Sunday and they're cooperating with Rome now there's true Christians in those churches and they will have to stand up eventually but the Adventist Church is really the only other there's only two churches in the world that count in a Christian
28:00 - 28:30 denomination there's seventh the adven and Roman Catholics they're on opposite sides and the Catholic Church knows where the where the message is going to be preached from now it's not it's not just the WIS human wisdom that tells them that uh did you know I I mentioned a friend of mine um I mentioned a friend of mine that uh that was raised in Angola by demons you remember I told you that story one
28:30 - 29:00 time um as a baby he was given to the demons to raise and he became a priest and he the demons taught him every evil thing there is from killing children sacrificing children eating their hearts um to to infiltrating Christian homes playing with children as a child discouraging them from uh from believing in God uh all these kind of things that but then then one day he heard of Jesus
29:00 - 29:30 and in his mind he said Lord if you exist I want to I want to know more about you and Jesus came and they talked together mind to mind for four hours after that conversation Jesus held ey said you want us some proof that I love you and he showed him his the scars on his hands he knelt down and gave his heart to the Lord and he is a consecrated seventh avist chran today living living in Angola but he told me
29:30 - 30:00 he said in the vaan I've been there many times uh I used to travel all around the world he said I would just close my eyes and open them and I would be there anywhere in the world just close your eyes and open it he said but sometimes I would take the airplane just to kind of do something different just to to find out what it's like to travel for normal people but I never never travel that way but I've been to the Vatican many times and in
30:00 - 30:30 the Vatican he said there is a special room that is the throne room of Satan he has his throne there and the the pope is not the boss Satan is the pope just obeys what he's told he does what he's told and he said uh uh and so the pope gets his information and his orders from Satan himself so Satan knows that his worst
30:30 - 31:00 enemy is God's anointed people after after the latter rainfalls they're going to carry the message to the world and it will be unstoppable there is no way to stop it but he said he said um that's why Rome knows so much because they get all their information from Satan and and their orders so um the Adventist Church is definitely the
31:00 - 31:30 church that has the truth and is going to preach in a loud cry and it's just going to be a head-on collision between truth and error Rome on one side 144,000 on the other and so that's why the the the priority for Rome was to infiltrate the Adventist Church and um not only the vice president that came to talk to my wife and I uh with the secretary of the G who said with his own mouth that the
31:30 - 32:00 Jesuits were his friends and counselors also a friend another friend of mine from Guyana a doctor uh I won't mention his name but uh he taught at Andrews University in the theology department for a long time his wife his wife was called by lyola University in in DC and said we would like for you to teach for us she said I can't go I live in Baran Springs Michigan my husband is a professor of
32:00 - 32:30 Theology and I can't go up to I can't be working in DC separated from my husband oh they say don't worry about it if you're willing to take the job we'll make the arrangements one called to the general conference and her husband was transferred to the general conference so she could teach a Lo YOLO University that's a lot of influence one phone call another physician friend of mine from Trinidad and Tobago went to the general conference and they were sat down they said there's a yellow line on the floor don't cross that yellow line
32:30 - 33:00 just stay right there we'll have somebody only people who work here can go in and come across there and then she she said no problem she sat down waiting till all the other Physicians came they were going to have a meeting for for doctors and dentist and uh and so she was sitting there and then she said a bunch of nuns all dressed like nuns came in and they walked right in went up the elevator and went to work she said excuse me do those those nuns work here
33:00 - 33:30 well that that's why they went across the yellow line they work there and I don't know that's what she told me but um the actions in in the mon moros University in Mexico we have two Jesuit priests that are part of the the Seminary board of directors so that was part of the laws of Mexico they had to have two academic people on the board and so so we have two Jesuit priests that help to decide what our theology students
33:30 - 34:00 study we've been we've been under attack for a long time but while sister white was alive every time they came to God would give her a vision and she would see the person at at Pacific Union College uh one lady was interviewing for a job and while the the president of the University was Interview wasn't it was a college at that time pu was interviewing that person the secretary walked in and said uh Elder so and so here's a letter
34:00 - 34:30 from Sister white he told the lady just a minute and he read it and he looked at the lady he read the letter looked at her remember in those days it took three months for letter to come across on the boat so written three months ago and she's he's looking at the lady and then he said to the lady would you mind reading this the lady said she read it said there will be a lady dressed in this color of dress qualified with these qualifications seeking a job with you do not hire her
34:30 - 35:00 she comes from the opposition and infiltrator the lady threw that threw that letter down and walked out the door so as long as the old lady was alive as as the enemy put it we can't do anything because God always shows her but when the lady died immediately aggressive infiltration of the church and that's why we're suffering today we're suffering those influences because naturally the enemy would
35:00 - 35:30 attack from from trying to penetrate to get inside so that they could affect they could affect the direction of our church we've talked about the changes slowly we've gone toward the world spiritual adultery with Rome now it is time to talk about the changes we must make to draw closer to God there's no doubt we've been under attack there's no doubt whatsoever remember the fact that we admit that we're under attack is not a criticism it's a fact we've been
35:30 - 36:00 attacked by the enemy the problem is we've given in we've allowed this to happen because there's benefits attached you go along with Rome there's Financial benefits there is there is government subsidies there is personal benefits the president of Bolivia the ex-president the previous president of Bolivia when he was president he was was Communist
36:00 - 36:30 anti-catholic anti-christianity he was a sun worshipper whenever he went anywhere he would sacrifice an animal to the sun god so we're not talking about a secular guy we're talking about a pagan President right and the president that we have today in Bolivia he does the same thing came from the same party but the previous one was worse than he was but guess what after he left the presidency a Catholic priest from
36:30 - 37:00 Argentina published on an interview a copy of his statement financial statement that the ex-president had at the Vatican $15 million now how did a communist president who hates Christianity have $15 million in the Vatican Bank he's behind the scenes they're still working together you see and so there's personal benefits there's
37:00 - 37:30 personal financial benefits to working together with Rome if you can be bought you will be bought do you have a price what's your price by the way what what is it that you have to be offered in order for you to Cave in now think about it some people don't have a price most people do was it what is it you dreamed of what is
37:30 - 38:00 it you really would like to have that if somebody offered it to you you would say okay remember most people have a price you say no no not me I don't have a price well I hope you don't I hope that you cannot be bought at any price but the truth is many people can right would you agree with me we have some people apply for missionary work and just before they
38:00 - 38:30 come oh Uncle David you know what I just got a new job I got an opportunity they're going to pay me more money than I ever thought I could earn let me do this for a while and then I'll be a missionary doesn't work that way my my son-in-law Richard in the back there he has an interesting story I asked him to come and work with me uh down in Bolivia and he he made up his mind to come first the only came temporarily like for about a year he's
38:30 - 39:00 been how many years now almost 20 yeah but but when he when when he's when he made his decision with my daughter to come and work with us he used to work at Southern Bill Telephone Company his boss called him and said I don't have any children I want to turn over my whole company to you if you'll stay I'll give you the whole company that sounds like a pretty attractive offer huh you don't have to work for her you just take over the
39:00 - 39:30 company you're the owner and you become you you have your income assured he said I'm sorry I've already made my decision and then he left later he found out the company was on the verge of bankruptcy and soon after he left they declared bankruptcy and that they're deeply in debt he would have he would have just acquired all the debt and he would not have had a company but he would have be over there working like crazy trying to pay his
39:30 - 40:00 debt and then and then uh he was a resident in the United States and uh and he decided to go down and be a missionary and the first thing that happened is when he came back to the US bam they grabbed him and said we're deporting you we're going to deport you because you've been out of the country too long fill out this form and you're going home and while he was filling it out he discovered that missionaries are on their different plan
40:00 - 40:30 so if he could prove that he was a missionary for a US organization it would be different so he wrote he asked me to write a letter stating from GMI that he was a missionary and when they got that letter everything changed and then there was the and then on one occasion they decided they called him and said uh we need to see you but he went in to see them and they said you know why we called you we're going to deport you you're leaving the country permanently he was in shock he thought
40:30 - 41:00 they were going to give him give him US US citizenship and uh I Mayan i' be getting all the details right but uh that's a general gist and so he's so he's and they ask him about his wife he goes uh but what about my wife you know what do I do with her well she's perian well I know but she was adopted she's a us your wife is a US citizen yes why didn't you tell us before well I didn't know I've
41:00 - 41:30 already my dad applied for me before I got married and so and so I didn't know they said you're so innocent you don't know anything and because you're so innocent and don't know anything we're going to help you come back in a few days and we'll give you your citizenship come back with your wife we want to see if she really is your wife know they're pretty good at asking questions and they just talked to her and chatted for a little bit and just ask woman to woman talk you know and
41:30 - 42:00 then finally said good you can go home she's your wife whereas somebody else asked them and they said man they made them sweat blood and they said she's not really your wife you just got married to get your to get your residency in the states she's not really your wife but but but but no no she's not really your wife we can tell you think we're stupid but in any case it only took a little bit of conversation with with our daughter and they said no she's your wife know there's no doubt about it go home and come back in a couple days and we'll have your citizenship papers ready
42:00 - 42:30 so he got attacked from every direction for being a missionary but in reality God took care of everything and uh we God doesn't promise we won't have a hard time but it is but almost 100% if you choose to work for God the devil's gonna throw a fish hook at you with a nice piece of meat on you every time they decide to work for God I find there's an alternative offered and you you have to make up your mind how much do you have to be offered
42:30 - 43:00 so you will not be a missionary I'll tell you why when I went when my children don't know anything about the poverty I went through with my wife when we graduated from nursing here then I went to Peru then I came back to study Mission Aviation uh maintenance aviation maintenance and it took a couple years of that we worked we worked uh we got a job finally um at an Adventist Hospital as nurses but but there was a few there was a
43:00 - 43:30 little bit of time where we didn't have any income and nobody would hire us and we tried and tried and tried so we lived in a little tiny a teardrop trailer and we parked in a public in a park you know in the state park it cost $8 a month to plug the electricity into your trailer we did that for three months and then I could not find 8 I don't know if you ever been to that but I had no no $8 I didn't know where to get $8 so so they made me leave the state
43:30 - 44:00 park and we parked on the side of the road and we live there my children never did that and and and and it was getting cold and it and every morning we wake up and it was Ice all inside everything was frozen inside we have no Heating and it got colder and colder and one of my one of my uh schoolmates said come come stay in our apartment and that it got down to 58 below
44:00 - 44:30 zero they said it was colder than the than the North Pole that those few days I've never been in a place that cold colder than a North Pole for about a week in Kentucky and we would have been frozen to death out there on the side of the road but the Lord was kind and merciful and gave us a we shared a one-bedroom apartment with the family friends but they let us do that but and then when we finally finished graduated ready to go back to the
44:30 - 45:00 mission field the pharmacist at our adven Hospital said I want you on my board I know what I'm going to Mission field we'll pay you just to be on the board we'll pay you $50,000 a year oh my I didn't even know what $5 was now $50,000 and then and then I I go to work to I was a flight instructor so I was teaching flying and and and the the the richest man in town had had an airplane
45:00 - 45:30 and he was flying and the P his Pilot came to me and said we're looking for an alternate pilot we just need somebody on standby whenever I can't fly so that you can fly for him he's willing to pay 50,000 a year that's 100,000 I could be on a board for 50,000 I can fly an airplane for 50,000 100,000 a year I couldn't even scrape up $5 a month I didn't know how to $8 I know how to get how do I do that I said oh you know I was considering I
45:30 - 46:00 thought maybe I have a price after all my dream was to be a missionary now I can get a $100,000 without doing anything except flying an airplane and being on a board I was thinking about it and I went to work doing airplane maintenance and and the mechanic said hold this wire for me with his needle nose so I was holding it with all my might pull tight pull tight and suddenly that wire broke and I drove that needle nose with all my might to my left
46:00 - 46:30 eye bam an explosion it's it went all the way in right to there I knew that I lost my eye because when you put a needle nose players with all your might into your left eye you know that it has lucky to be alive it could go into your brain I fell to my knees and I pushed my eye I figured it a lot of fluid would come out all my vitous humor from the middle of my eye but it was still there I couldn't
46:30 - 47:00 see anything but it was still there I went into that bathroom and tried to look and there was a big hole in the side of my eyelid the pliers had gone next to my eye gone around the side and gone from the inside of my eyelid to the outside and torn my eyelid a big old hole right here I said Lord you saved my eye you know what if you hadn't saved my eye I would never fly an airplane again right so I want to take care of my
47:00 - 47:30 needs by 50,000 here 50,000 there wow I could make some money and then I'll be a missionary someday no I said no cost whatsoever there's nothing you can offer me I am not going to take a job I'm going to the mission field and I'm going to make $300 a month and that's what I went to the mission field and I and I've never turned back and I can say I would do it
47:30 - 48:00 all over the same way again because the devil just throws you a nice chunk of meat if you have a price but inside of that meat is a fish hook the devil's not trying to bless you he's trying to buy you off and once he has destroyed your opportunity to work for God then he will pull the fishook in reel you in so don't ever get bought off if if you have a price the devil will find it we must learn to be without
48:00 - 48:30 a price we must learn to work for God regardless of the of the of the price that we're offered sister white says that some of God's people will be offered positions money honor if they will only compromise we have to be without a price no matter what it is I'll do what God wants me to do and that's the kind of people that God can honor with his presence and power from the Holy
48:30 - 49:00 Spirit we must step away from the world and from any relationship with the Beast we must we must allow God to take out the love of the world from our hearts we have to admit that all of us love the world somewhat think a little bit what is it that you love here in this world you say I don't love anything in this world I'm looking for heaven come on there must be something that you love in this world and all of us are too
49:00 - 49:30 attached to this world you know that is it your car is it your house your job your bank account whatever it is we all have little tiny things that threads that tie us to the world God's going to start having to clip all those threads and finally we're going to be very happy when Jesus comes because we have no attraction to what we're leaving
49:30 - 50:00 behind is that is that an easy thing it's hard because it takes some surgery Jesus is in the most holy place today cleansing our heart sanctuaries from all of sin we need to cooperate with him we need to understand what's happening if we if we do not believe Jesus is in the most holy Place how are you going to cooperate with him you can first of all you have to believe that he's doing a special job in
50:00 - 50:30 the most holy place to prepare us because he needs a people and we must cooperate and ask him to do Lord take out the love of the world take out sin out of my heart take out these inherited these cultivated sins out of my life make me more patient give me your love and and the further we go along the less we believe we get we're getting there one lady in Holland told me I'm 75 years old all my life up been dedicated to the world and to the world to the Lord and
50:30 - 51:00 I've come to the conclusion I will never make it and I go congratulations why because the closer you get to the Lord the farther you feel because as you compare yourself to God's Perfection we don't we it looks like we're very far away but but let's allow God to do it God's never going to turn you away I will let he that comes unto me I will in no wise cast out so let's come to him
51:00 - 51:30 with confidence let's just trust what he says he's waiting for you to come and ask him if we go and ask him he will do what he promised um when the Midnight Cry comes it's at midnight is as at a time least expected where were you at midnight last night were you sleeping or going to the bathroom one or the other right man I don't know I just flew to I
51:30 - 52:00 just flew to Virginia and back I didn't necessarily drink a lot of fluid during that time but last night I was up seven times and I go good night fortunately I went right back to bed immediately but I go maybe the older you get your bladder gets smaller and smaller you know and and uh you have to get up more often but seven times in one night that's a little excessive that's every hour but at midnight last night I I was either sleeping or getting up to go to
52:00 - 52:30 the bathroom but at midnight is when you don't expect anything and it's at midnight when all the virgins are sleeping that suddenly an event happens that wakes everybody up it says a cry was heard the bridegroom is coming let us go forth to meet him all 10 bride all 10 bride uh virgins woke up all 10 of them that means everybody in the Adventist Church
52:30 - 53:00 will wake up some are ready some are not but but the event that's going to happen is going to wake everybody up the problem is that's when they discover that some have made preparation and some have not and those that have not made preparations will go to those that have made and said what do you have to do to get ready give me some of your preparation we can't lest we not have enough you go and prepare for your your find oil so they left to find oil they
53:00 - 53:30 said when is the next meeting is that Pioneer Memorial they said when is the when is the next camp meeting up in Maine when when is Walter V going to be coming to speak Barbara O'Neal Conrad Vine Ron Kelly When are they gon to come speak no they're not speaking anymore camp meetings are over there's no more no but how do I get order that should have been done before you understand the time to get
53:30 - 54:00 oil is when oil is available not after the door closes so right now we're all in the right place trying to get ready for the second coming for not for the Judgment when our names come before before the Lord because we won't know when that happens that's at midnight when you least expect that this event which is probably going to be the Sunday law will wake everybody up every I'm I'm waiting for College Dale Pulpit College Dale
54:00 - 54:30 Church a big University Church I'm waiting for them to stand up there and say ladies and gentlemen brothers and sisters we're sorry to tell you we thought it was a long ways away but the Sunday law has now come you all need to move to the country and you need to work as hard as you can to get oil in your lamps I'm sorry while while they were over there the oil was being poured out in another place private camp meetings dissidents were
54:30 - 55:00 preaching alarmists were invited to preach and and the present truth was being preached while they were sleeping and working on their business so so when that happens everybody will wake up but at that time no unprepared sdas will be able to enter at a later time probably the saddest SC in the Bible for me or in the great controversy is to be a member of the church to know the truth and not have
55:00 - 55:30 oil in your lamps I can't even imagine well what will probably happen is that they will they will hear that these people that are preaching in the loud cry they're all Fanatics it's a fanatical movement don't worry about it because you have two Alternatives either you're on the outside and you don't want to hear that or and
55:30 - 56:00 it's too late or don't worry about it those people are crazy those people are Fanatics just keep living a normal life the Adventist Church is working with the governments to fix things up don't worry about it that's a much more comfortable message don't you think and if you're lost anyway you might as well listen to the comfortable message because if there's no hope for you you don't want to hear that so somebody will come and say oh no don't worry about it no no no no those are
56:00 - 56:30 crazy people just leave it alone it the Sunday laws here but the church is negotiating with the government we're going to close the church on Saturday but we're going to have meetings Saturday night and Sunday we know the seventh day is of Sabbath but God will understand so we're going to meet on Sunday but we know that yesterday was holy so at home don't do any work but on Sunday we're going to go to church and then if you not going to be working on pretty soon well go to the restaurant let's go to a baseball game
56:30 - 57:00 you can do something you know pretty soon you start uh you start uh not keeping the Sabbath and now you can do anything on Sabbath you want have you had family members that have left the Sabbath truth I have one one family member that left he studied theology here at southern most of his professors left the church he got discouraged went to study medicine in lomalinda finished medicine as an atheist eventually now he's a presbyterian a very kind physician he
57:00 - 57:30 just retired very nice very good person but but he came and talked to my dad and I and he said I don't understand how come you always he told my dad how come you always work so closely with David but you kind of have a distance from me no we love you to same as a brother we love you you're not no but you always support
57:30 - 58:00 David and and you don't support me my dad said well you're a successful physician don't give me about physician stuff that's just my profession I want to know about me and I told him I told my brother I said you know what we love you just the same as always you're part of the family you will never be otherwise but we don't understand how can a Seventh Day Advent who knows the truth about health knows the Sabbath knows the spirit of Prophecy
58:00 - 58:30 turn the back on all of that and then on top of that eats pork drinks drinks alcohol believes in a presperterian message where they baptize children believes in Eternal burning hell keep Sunday we don't we don't understand that's all we love you but it's it's it's beyond our comprehension to know so much truth and
58:30 - 59:00 turn your back on truth and now you're walking in the lies and thinking they're the truth we don't understand so we're still very close but he's always had that part in his heart that he didn't understand why his dad always supported me in the mission work but that's because my dad and I worked and thought alike right we believed alike and and even though we love each other we just don't understand how you could turn your back on the truth but many Adventists
59:00 - 59:30 will they'll turn their back on the truth um Last Day Events page 156 we have more to fear from within than from without Christian servers page 81 what shall I say to arouse The Remnant people of God I was shown that Dreadful scenes are before us Satan and his angels are bringing all their powers to Bear upon God's people he knows that if they sleep a little longer he is sure of them for their destruction is
59:30 - 60:00 certain what is about to happen in just a little while that will make their destruction certain you see the door will close he says if they can sleep a little longer their destruction is certain Satan knows that something is about to happen and once they cross that line it doesn't matter if you wake up there's no way to prepare prepare it's too late that's why their destruction is certain in these hours
60:00 - 60:30 Final hours of probation for the sons of men when the fate of every soul is soon to be decided forever the Lord of Heaven and Earth expects his church to arouse to action as never before this process is called the shaking time what group are you in shaking just means doesn't mean that you're on the outside or the inside no everybody's on inside but the shaking happens and and
60:30 - 61:00 the grass and the the chaff goes to the top and the grain goes to the bottom so when the wind blows the CHF how many of you have have ever uh done treated grain by hand or or shelled grain rice anything like that any of you in a in the third world you have you know you hit it like this and you hold it up and the Wind Blows the chaff out and pretty soon you have just
61:00 - 61:30 rice but all the all the chaff is blown to the ground you you have to beat it and you have to beat it and you have to beat it and pretty soon the chaff separates from the Grain and the wind takes it away right now we're being beaten from all directions it's not a comfortable thing how would you like to be a grain of rice when it's big old stick Bam Bam but that's what's required for the chaff to separate from the Grain and that's what we've been going through for some years now and this is called This
61:30 - 62:00 is called the the shaking time and and me and mentioning all these things I'm speaking to myself as well I'm not just talking about you we are to agonize with God to see which part of my life is unsurrendered which things need changing pray that the holy spirit will do its work on my heart soften my heart so that we can make these changes Chapter 30 of Christian experience and
62:00 - 62:30 teaching says talks entitled The shaking I saw some strong with strong faith agonizing cries pleading with God their countenances were pale and marked with deep anxiety and expressive of their internal struggle firmness and great earnestness was expressed on their countenances evil angels crowded around pressing Darkness upon them to shut out Jesus from their view that their eyes might be drawn to the darkness that surrounded them that they might be led
62:30 - 63:00 to distrust God and murmur against him their only safety was in keeping their eyes directed upward so there's a process where we have to go to God and wrestle don't you don't you say I'm okay everybody else tells me I'm okay no we're not okay we're going to talk about the Le message a little bit we are not okay I'm not okay there's things that have to be done yet and I have to wrestle with God it
63:00 - 63:30 says um some I saw did not participate in the work of agonizing and pleading they seemed indifferent and careless they were not resisting the darkness and it shut them in like a dark cloud the angels of God left these and went to the aid of the earnest praying ones so if we don't resist if we don't fight if we don't recognize our condition if we don't agonize with God we will be left comfortable like most of our church members are most of them are comfortable sitting in
63:30 - 64:00 church going about their daily life like everything was okay God loves me he'll save me I was asked I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown it was caused by the straight testimony called forth by the Council of the true witness to the leans this will have an effect upon the receiver and will lead them to exalt the testimony and pour forth the straight truth some will not bear the testimony they will rise up against it and this will cause a shaking among God's people
64:00 - 64:30 well what does the message toia consist of it is very simple it's not complex it's just not a it's not an easy message that's all it's easy to reject when you like who likes you know you've heard of flattery oh King live forever yeah just tell us the dream and we will tell you the interpretation thereof I don't know the dream no but King just tell us the dream and we will tell you an interpretation we'll make up an
64:30 - 65:00 interpretation and and the King s through that real fast but they the devil likes to flatten flatter Us by saying you're okay look around you you're pretty good people you give your tithing an offering you're an elder in the church you're a Deaconess you you do whatever you're fine you're just fine you're in good and regular standing you don't cause any problems everything's okay okay so I'm okay you're okay just continue on as the way you are that's
65:00 - 65:30 flattery that's not what God says God says you are neither hot nor cold but lukewarm so I'm going to vomit you out of my mouth hot and cold mixed together make luke warm right we were talking about colors like green was blue mixed with what yellow how do you know that all you have to do is pee in the blue water in the toilet and you know what
65:30 - 66:00 color turns right it turns green right and then you you that they have a lot of blue water in South America they put in the toilets you know you have a little thing just St so it doesn't smell bad and every time it turns green and I'm not a I have a color deficiency so I'm not good at colors but I can tell that it was blue add a little yellow and it turns green and and if you add hot and
66:00 - 66:30 cold you're going to get warm and and it says because you look warm and neither hot or cold I will vomit you out of my mouth GI gives God nausea and so what is cold cold is worldliness and what is hot on fire for the Lord consecrated dedicated to the Lord everything you have belongs to him your time your
66:30 - 67:00 effort your money your influence but you mix the two together and you get neither one or the other he says because you're neither hot or cold I will vomit you out my mouth I wish that you were hot or cold God would prefer if you were completely worldly than to be half World half religion because you give God a bad name you say you are rich increase with goods and have need of nothing but you don't
67:00 - 67:30 know I mean you have houses universities hospitals publishing houses but you don't know that you're wretched miserable poor blind and naked imagine a wret a miserable wretched miserable poor blind and naked person what what are they like you see them along the streets in South America you must be somewhere around here too but it's kind of Colder so you don't you don't get too many naked people walking around here because it's kind of cold but in South America
67:30 - 68:00 you get I just saw a lady walking around with her underwear down the middle of the street of town the other day her hair was all matted it was all matted her skin was all dirty like she was sleeping on the ground oh you know you want to take a bath right when you even think like that and she's just in under her walking down the street and she's skinny you know she's a drug addict skinny little thing matted hair in an underwear walking along the street and you say that is
68:00 - 68:30 wretched miserable poor blind and naked she wasn't blind but if you added blindness to all of that and then God says I have a solution now buy of me gold refined by fire good works says buy for me white rment Christ righteousness and I sa that you may see so the numbers in the company had lessened she saw that this group of people that were wrestling with with God some had
68:30 - 69:00 been shaken out and left by the way the careless and indifferent who did not prize Victory and salvation enough to pers perseveringly plead and agonized did not obain it and they were left behind in the darkness the honest who had been prevented from hearing the truth now eagerly joined they heard the truth there's many honest people that really haven't heard the truth and as soon as they hear it that's what I've been wanting to know that's what I want and it says the all fear of their relatives
69:00 - 69:30 was gone they now seized the truth and laid hold upon it and the truth alone was exalted they had been hungering and thirsting for truth and it was dearer and more precious in life I asked the meaning of this great change and the angel said it is the latter of rain the refreshing from the Lord the loud Cry of the third Angel see that's about to happen but we don't want to be left among the lukewarm but there's a lot of work that
69:30 - 70:00 God has to do on our hearts here um I'm getting a little older when I was younger I worked full-time I was flying in the morning from 6 in the morning till 6:00 in the evening picking up patients taking them here taking them there taking them to the hospital taking them back finding money for gasoline flying around I I work so hard and I knew I was doing God's work I was planting churches I was opening new Villages I was everything the Lord really blessed but as long as I was so
70:00 - 70:30 busy doing all of that I I knew I was doing God's will and I was happy never doubted once that that was what God wanted me to do I did it for years and years and years and years I my my average flight time for those years was a thousand hours of year a year a flight time that's that's about like a full-time Airline job where you fly every day every day every day every day that's three hours a day average but
70:30 - 71:00 sometimes I made 17 flights a day a 15minute flight a 10-minute flight a 20 minute flight a 45 minute flight a 10-minute flight a 15minute flight one time I made 17 flights in one day I could hardly keep up with all that and you know what now I look back and I say I almost feel guilty but I'm not as I'm not as busy as I was before but I can't I don't have the energy to keep that up anymore I can't fly all day long
71:00 - 71:30 all day long sitting down doing all that work anymore I need to get up and do physical labor if I'm going to keep my health if I'm going to sleep at night I got to do something heavy duty I got to walk up and down the mountains I gotta haul a hose I got to be on top of the roof putting in a solar system I got to be connecting wires I got to be soldering I got to be repairing a vehicle as soon as I get back to Bolivia I got to crawl up underneath the vehicle and repair my wife's suspension on that little pickup truck she drives and um and then I got to put a motorcycle wheel
71:30 - 72:00 on then I have to fix the solar panel issue then I have to put some other systems in but that that's what keeps me going but I I say but I'm not saving anybody's life maybe I'm wasting my time even working in a garden I love working in a garden but I feel like saying I'm work in a garden but I'm not saving anybody's life is this what God wants me to do just to work work in a garden but then I remember that Adam and Eve that's what they did God made us to enjoy working
72:00 - 72:30 out in a garden nature but if the ship is sinking working in a garden doesn't seem very important maybe putting life jackets on people is more important right maybe moving them to the to the life raft I don't know I'm I'm wrestling with it too because my my work is changing Administration on the phone fixing problem s doing this trying to arrange this financing pay for the satellite that's not saving life well
72:30 - 73:00 yeah it is I'm I'm trying to take the present truth to the people who don't have it I know Lord but I've been so busy for so long now I'm slowing down a little bit am I really doing your work but you know all of us change as we get older sometimes when the children are little we got to the mother spend a lot of time changing diapers and feeding kids then taking them to school and suddenly they're gone the kids are gone and the mother goes now what do I
73:00 - 73:30 do oh I can take care of my husband fine but now what do I do when he goes to work so all of us go through different phases of our life I'm going into the uh Spanish we say the third age you know what it pays to be over 60 when you're in South America over 60 you don't wait in line you go to the bank say go to the special line over here it's only five three people in that line over here there's
73:30 - 74:00 50 I went to Peru last week I went to the border of Bolivia and Peru and it's way up in a Highlands 14,000 feet right on Lake tiaka the wind was blowing I had a big heavy jacket on boy it was chilling to my bones I and I can hardly breathe just just walking you can hardly 14,000 ft I mean on an airplane you're required to take oxygen after a while right and so and and so I'm I'm
74:00 - 74:30 going there and when I got to the immigration there's a line three blocks long normally there's about 20 people in line there was about 300 people in line and I had to go to Peru and I went and it was a long line of 300 people on that side I said I got to wait in line three hours over here go back to Bolivia and wait another three hours there ah what am I I'm going to miss my
74:30 - 75:00 flight back to what am I going to do well I went to Peru and and when I was there Pastor David how are you doing oh H hi and they said please have our place in line I said but you've been waiting here for hours oh no but we can go to the back we have plenty of time really that's so sweet of you I almost cried because I only have so much time
75:00 - 75:30 are you willing to do that well there's four of us we'll give you one of our places and you can take one of our places and I'll go to the back and I'll come do it later but that's so kind of you so as I was taking my place in line I was just that is so sweet of them I can't believe it somebody I didn't even know right and and and then as I was standing there the guy behind me said aren't you over 60 yeah oh just go straight in there they'll take care of you right
75:30 - 76:00 now really so I went walking in I as soon as I walked in oh special line for over 60s right here I was out in 10 minutes I was gone so I went to the Bolivia side and I went to the immigration officer and I said do you have a special line for over 60 and he goes are you by yourself yeah walk right in and it was a line three block long I bypassed everybody went right in it reminds me of the time I I went to
76:00 - 76:30 the bus station in Venezuela I had to go to the union board meetings I went to the bus station and I had to go to the bathroom I had just come from Bolivia and I was looking for a coin to pay for the bathroom and while I was I was looking for one coin that was big enough to pay and as I was standing there a guy walked out of the bathroom and goes Pastor David and he said what do you need a coin here and he pulled out a bag that
76:30 - 77:00 weighed about three pounds and he said this is my offering for you and he gave me about 3,000 coins it was a big bag filled with coins and the lady who was charging at the bathroom said I wish I had friends like that I said no no no I just need one coin no no it's my offering so so I had to take a three pound bag of coins and and but I I took out one and gave it to the lady but I that was an offering that was so nice but the lady said you don't even know this guy you just walk to the bathroom
77:00 - 77:30 and this guy gives you all this money but God is waiting to do for his people that we can hardly imagine and I know we wrestle with human issues I know we wrestle with all of this but you know what God understands some of us are wrestling with illness some are wrestling with financial difficulty some are wrestling with person family issues some are wrestling with with aging some are wrestling with children issues work
77:30 - 78:00 issues but you know what God already knows all of that stuff so where are we to do what are we to do now Matthew 25 says the bridegroom delayed it wasn't God's choice sometimes we say who knows when Jesus will come it could be a long time my grandfather thought Jesus was going to come have you heard that one so let him come when he comes like if it was Jesus fault did you do you do you realize that the reason Jesus hasn't come yet is our
78:00 - 78:30 fault he wanted to come in a time of his people when he came to die on the cross he wanted to make that his one time but they rejected him so then all the way through the Middle Ages and finally the reformation and then he said no okay my God my Remnant people I'm going to give them the message of righteousness by faith and in 1888 I will wake them up will go to the world we finish it there will never be a first world war there never will be a second world war 6 million Jews and 20 million
78:30 - 79:00 Russians will not have to die and he went to his people and said here Jones and Wagner sell a sister white this is the message that you need to preach and the leader said we don't want to hear it they rejected it and sister white finally said it is too late for Jesus to come we're going to have to wait another long time and why do you think it's too late for Jesus to come because the the fruit has to be ripe in order to harvest since
79:00 - 79:30 when can you go out and say I want to harvest right now for example you want to harvest cherries go try to find some go try to find cherries you can't even find them in a store why it's not time to harvest yet I'm sure the trees are full of little cherries but they're not ripe yet God cannot come whenever he wants to Jesus has to come when the world is ready and ripe the message has to go like lightning across the world so in 1888 the world
79:30 - 80:00 was right did you know that Russia was open in 1888 did you know that China was open in 1888 did you know that if that message would there was Billy Sundy there was Dwight El Moody there was all these other preachers preaching everywhere there was a Revival happening all over the place and all they needed to do was just put the righteousness by faith massage in and poof an explosion would have happened and Jesus would have come the world was ripe and Adventist failed
80:00 - 80:30 him they refused to go into Canaan so God said okay die in the desert and adventus went to the desert and they died I have a letter it's in my computer in the car but I have a letter written by Elder Prescott who was Secretary of the general conference and he wrote to Willie white in his own writing dear Willie you are the president or the you are the
80:30 - 81:00 director of The Ellen White Center in other words the estate where they keep all of LG White's writings your mother thought that Jesus would have come before now we thought that Jesus would have come before now but one by one all the Pioneers are passing away and I've come to the realization that probably we will pass away too before Jesus
81:00 - 81:30 comes and I cannot die without telling you the following I'm just I'm paraphrasing because I can't remember I didn't memorize it he said Willie you and I know that we have allowed to be printed your mother's books in a way that does not reflect what your mother meant our young pastors and theology students are learning some things that are not true because you and I have been
81:30 - 82:00 unfaithful and I am not going to die with this on my conscience so I am confessing that I have been unfaithful and have allowed your mother's writings to be published in a way that does not reflect what she intended but you are the director and I encourage you to correct that and repr PR those books in a way that your mother intended I don't know what books he's talking about but he came to the
82:00 - 82:30 realization that Jesus was not coming in their generation sister white said it's going to be a long time again how sad it's not jesus' fault that he didn't come it's our fault we rejected the message the one hope we have is that Israel rejected the message and they died in the desert but the second generation went through well it's now we're the second generation we're more than the second
82:30 - 83:00 generation but the time has come again when the world is now ripe and if we do our if we accept the truth and do not reject it God can use us to finish and he's going to come this time he's coming no matter what in Spanish we say see or see yes or yes other words he's coming no M he's not going to this time whether you're ready or not ready he's coming ready or not here I
83:00 - 83:30 come and and so the question is are we going to be part of it or are we going to be left behind in the desert so we're probably partly asleep not everybody was asleep by the way have you ever asked yourself who was the one that who was the one that said the bridegroom is coming let us go forth to meet him was that the saying here I am or was it somebody else who was
83:30 - 84:00 it was that the bridegroom himself saying I am here wake up no somebody had to announce the bridegroom right the bridegroom is coming wake up let us go forth to meet him so not everybody was asleep there were some awake you and I want to be among those that are awake and watching and sounding some some people may ridicule it but the truth is we are just around the corner from that critical time when
84:00 - 84:30 the door is about to close how are we spending our money are we spending it to do what God ask us to do to live where we're supposed to to buy clothes that we're supposed to wear how we dress where we live what we eat are we serious about our spiritual lives are we allowing the Holy Spirit to cleanse from all love of the world and worldless and sin we need to accept God's offer in Lea
84:30 - 85:00 to buy gold white rayment and isap he's standing at the door and knocking but we have to open the door that we might be awaken watching recognizing the signs around us watch therefore for you know not when the Master of the House will come at even midnight cockc or at the morning that's coming he find you suddenly sleeping that's coming suddenly he find you sleeping and what I say unto you I say to everyone watch none of us are actually ready we
85:00 - 85:30 all need more oil in our lamps we all have a measure of love for the world that needs to be taken from us we need to accept the truth that we are miserable pable poor blind and naked and God will give us a new heart that's it you know God God has something he loves loves to do what is it you like to do what what do you dream of doing like like if you wake up in the morning and all of a sudden you're
85:30 - 86:00 dreaming of doing something what would you what are some of the things that you like to do what is it you like flying okay like if you could go flying that would be the funnest thing you could do anybody else what do you like to do you like this ah you can't swim but you like the water okay okay anybody else being in nature come
86:00 - 86:30 on being home with your kids H so you get up in the morning you go today I'm G to be with my kids wonderful anybody else brother Marty what do you like to do you like to write songs amen and you do a good job with that God has blessed you anybody else horseback riding some of you I know that I know there's one pilot back there likes to fly brle and I were flying yesterday
86:30 - 87:00 Richard what do you like to do play music yeah that's true he bought two guitars this week he went to buy one but he ended up with two and what he dreams about every day is getting a new keyboard I'll sell my old one and I'll buy a new one this one can do this and that the other one can't do that he's always talking to me about playing music I dream about being on the mountains and putting in solar systems and water systems and all right reaching new countries I
87:00 - 87:30 love the idea of reaching Brazil an entire country suddenly within my parents never could do that my in-laws my parents they worked hard all their life never once were they ever able to reach an entire country and then I get to do that like Lord why do you allow me that privilege you're willing but my parents probably would have been willing but they never had the opportunity but but I'm willing
87:30 - 88:00 but God gave me the opportunity and some of you are probably willing to but you never had the opportunity did you but I did and and it's within my reach and I don't care if I sell my pickup truck and pay for everything I don't care if I sell everything I have but I'm gonna I'm not going to die until I can reach an entire country or entire continent all of Bolivia is already within our reach and all of South America with satellite but 100 million people and not only is satellite within my reach they're
88:00 - 88:30 offering me free for a year to broadcast in all the capital cities of Brazil can you imagine sa Paulo 35 million people Rio de Janeiro sou uh manow bang right on the mouth of the Amazon you know how wide the Amazon is at his mouth it's a river 300 miles across wow that's how much freshh water comes from the continent all the way to the ocean and it takes you three hours
88:30 - 89:00 flying in a small plane just across the river that's a lot of water right that's a lot of water the country is Big A lot of people live there and I'm going to get a chance and I'm not going to miss it if it's the last thing I do if I sell everything I have to to do it I'm going to do it even if it right on my tombstone he sold all that he had in order to reach Brazil but you know what the Lord there's our there's our accountant sitting right there she she transferred the money to
89:00 - 89:30 make the down payment the other day we didn't have it on Sunday but we did it on Thursday so you see all of us have things that we like to do you know what Jesus likes to do he likes to save people he dreams of reaching another Soul all of Heaven ver out in in in song when one sinner repents that's what we're called to do
89:30 - 90:00 Let Jesus get what he wants don't you think after what he did for us don't you think it's worth it that we assist and what he dreams of is having a bride how many of you remember your wedding day you remember your wedding day see
90:00 - 90:30 he says he can't remember his wedding day but she does anyway I'm just I'm serious joking um 40 years 40 year marriage in April next month wow you know what Jesus is still single he's still waiting for his bride to get ready when the day the wedding of my

91:00 - 91:30 was right do it now the person is right and they were right but you know what Jesus is still waiting for 2,000 years waiting for his bride to get ready and now the bride is here some of us here all of us here are invited to be part but some of us here maybe all of us praise the Lord hopefully can be part of that bride all we have to do is allow the Holy Spirit to get get us ready and our heart pure so that he can have a bride without
91:30 - 92:00 spot or wrinkle I can't wait Matthew 7:7 ask and it shall be given that's what God is waiting for he loves to do it so just ask him you think he's going to turn you down dear Lord please get me ready I want to be part of your bride I want to be pure and I want to be without spot wrinkle please take out every sin out of my life please Lord and you think God's going to say I don't want to no that's what he loves to
