Chapters
00:00 - 10:00: Introduction and Greetings The chapter titled 'Introduction and Greetings' presumably begins with music that sets the tone for the content. As the music plays, a sense of warmth or a physical sensation, possibly metaphorical or related to an emotional state, is conveyed. This brief transcript suggests an introduction possibly focusing on setting a welcoming or emotional atmosphere through auditory elements and personal reflection.
10:00 - 20:00: Series of Sermons and Fasting This chapter comprises a series of sermons and discussions about fasting. The content likely explores the spiritual and practical elements of fasting, possibly within a religious or spiritual context. Given the mention of recurring themes like 'heat,' it might metaphorically refer to the intensity and challenges faced during fasting, or it might suggest repeated cycles of sermons with similar or interlinking themes.
20:00 - 30:00: Online Community and Participation The chapter titled 'Online Community and Participation' seems to set the stage with an introductory or atmospheric element, suggested by the phrase 'i see i see [Music]'. Unfortunately, there is not enough detail in the transcript to provide a comprehensive summary of the chapter's content. If more information is provided, such as key points discussed, themes explored, or conclusions drawn, a more detailed summary could be generated. Based on the current transcript, it hints at an environment of either anticipation or reflection, potentially introduced or underscored by music.
30:00 - 40:00: Worship through Music The chapter titled 'Worship through Music' explores the role of music in religious worship. It likely discusses how music enhances spiritual experiences, helps in expressing devotion, and brings congregations together in a shared act of worship. The transcript indicates the use of music to set the mood or introduce the chapter's theme.
40:00 - 50:00: Prayer and Offering This chapter, titled 'Prayer and Offering,' explores the themes of openness and music. Through a series of expressions and sounds, the chapter depicts a sense of vulnerability and receptivity, conveying the notion of being open to experiences and emotions. It uses the metaphor of music to express these themes, suggesting a harmonious relationship between personal growth and spiritual practices.
50:00 - 60:00: DFN Ministry and Global Prayer This chapter introduces the DFN Ministry and its global prayer initiatives. It highlights the importance of prayer and community participation in spreading the ministry's mission. The chapter uses music as a thematic element to evoke a spiritual connection and to set a tone for the subsequent content.
60:00 - 70:00: Connecting and Life Groups The chapter titled 'Connecting and Life Groups' begins with a welcoming message from Shem and Steve, who are brothers and enjoy serving together. They acknowledge the audience and encourage interaction, highlighting a participant named Iris from India.
70:00 - 80:00: Youth Ministry and Engagement The chapter titled 'Youth Ministry and Engagement' focuses on interaction and inclusivity within a community. It starts with a light-hearted exchange regarding cultural identity, as Indian individuals from Bangalore discuss perceptions of their ethnicity. The speakers express enthusiasm about knowing the origins of their audience members, encouraging them to participate in the conversation. A host named Shelly is mentioned, indicating a role in facilitating the chat. The overall tone is welcoming and interactive, emphasizing participation and community engagement.
80:00 - 90:00: Feeding the 5000 and Message The chapter explores a series of sermons from John's Gospel focusing on the miracles performed by Jesus. This particular session connects with the famous biblical story of 'Feeding the 5000' where Jesus miraculously feeds a multitude with limited resources. The message not only reflects on the miracle but also aligns with the themes presented in the TV show 'Chosen', emphasizing how divine interventions are relevant in contemporary times as believers prepare for Easter.
90:00 - 100:00: Impacts of Faith and Community In this chapter titled 'Impacts of Faith and Community,' the focus is on the story of feeding the 5000, as narrated by Paul. This is connected to the experiences shared in a community setting, where the narrative engages members in reflection and discussion post-worship. The chapter highlights the influence of collective religious practices, such as the ongoing fasting season of 21 days, of which the speaker and their spouse are participants. The dialogue fosters a sense of shared spiritual journey and communal bonding through faith-oriented activities.
100:00 - 110:00: Final Worship and Closing Prayer The chapter titled 'Final Worship and Closing Prayer' involves a discussion about participating in a modified version of the Daniel diet. The speaker, who enjoys eating meat, describes the challenge of abstaining during this seven-day period. Despite the difficulties, they emphasize perseverance, continuous prayer, and the underlying goal of growing closer to the Lord. The journey, though tough, is portrayed as a fulfilling spiritual exercise.

33:00 - 33:30 Lord welcome this morning my name is Deborah i am part of the team here at City Life Church we are in a time at the moment of 21 days of prayer and fasting and I hope you've been really enjoying that particular time that you are setting aside to pray and fast something so that you can lean into the Lord to his word his voice i was reminded this
33:30 - 34:00 week by a a story I heard there's a congregant here who has a property and on the property they have some cows and the cows have not been fed enough because there's not been enough uh rain so there wasn't enough grass so they broke out of the property looking for food so they went off into the forest and um it reminds me of us sometimes when we are hungry we go looking for something
34:00 - 34:30 don't we if we're hungry for help if we're hungry if we've got difficulties in our lives struggles anxieties stresses we go looking to fill that and sometimes we go looking elsewhere for that um the end of this story is that uh I was wondering how they were going to get the cows back but actually uh the owner of the cows just went to the edge of the property and he called out to them and they heard his voice and they came he also had bread which helps a lot
34:30 - 35:00 but I think that's also that's also us when when we stop and we listen to God's voice and we come to him he will feed us he will feed us what we need he is the one that satisfies our hunger and our thirst so can I encourage you that if you haven't joined us yet for the prayer and fasting time it's not too late please do come and set aside some time each day so that you can spend time with the Lord in his word and in prayer well

43:00 - 43:30 sections that where you can do online life tracks young adults um I believe there was a baptism um through online a few weeks ago a couple of weeks ago um you know people um giving their lives to Jesus so it's it's all happening and it's all available online um but don't just you know earlier we were chatting with Shel online pastor and she's like get connected you know don't just watch but get connected and um sort of sew into uh you know the
43:30 - 44:00 church and uh be part of this amazing online community um we have people from all over the world and it would just be so amazing to be able to um connect with each other that's right that's what we're here for we just don't want it to be a moment momentary thing it is a community where we want to journey with you and and that's what's the space and and I think we live in a world where this is possible where we don't want people to be isolated we actually want connection um you know and as a teacher I always talk to the kids about uh we
44:00 - 44:30 are the most technologically advanced uh society in today's world but yet we're so disconnected you know you've heard that so much uh and and and that is why we actually want to use this platform to connect yes to make an impact exactly exactly so so so please join us we need you uh we need that communication we need that uh participation um you know and and then and I think that's what's going to make the difference absolutely
44:30 - 45:00 absolutely how about we go into a time of uh tithes and offering hey yes that'll be great um so I was going to share something uh with you guys this morning um Proverbs 3:9 it says "Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first fruits of all your increase." We see here that giving to the Lord is an act of honor it is a way of thanking God for all he has done and all he has provided for us in our lives he supplies our
45:00 - 45:30 needs by his riches and glory by Christ Jesus and the least that we can do in this um through that is honor him with the first fruits we serve a generous God you know our generosity follows God's example john 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only son we serve a giving God and we have all been recipients of a generous God and you know as we enter and respond in
45:30 - 46:00 this natural flow of giving we are developing this spiritual gift 2 Corinthians 8 says um not only should we excel in faith speech and knowledge but see that we also excel in this gracious act of giving very good paul later on is going to talk about feeding the 5000 and one little boy was willing to give all that he had and through that miracle was performed where Jesus fed the 5,000 so whether it's a little or a
46:00 - 46:30 lot there's no obligation but it's understanding the principle that everything belongs to the Lord psalms 24:1 everything belongs to the Lord so I encourage you this morning um whether it's a little or a lot you know it doesn't matter it's the heart behind it giving with a generous heart and taking the little that we have and surrendering it to the Lord so not holding on to things too tightly and with that the Lord will have a mighty impact far
46:30 - 47:00 greater than what we can imagine so how about we pray into that lord we just want to thank you again for this time Lord uh thank you for the gift thank you for the giver well I just pray that the little that we have the little that we offer Lord that we would give to you generously and that you will then take that and multiply just like you fed the 5,000 with the little that that boy had lord take our finances it all belongs to you Lord we are meant to We're called to
47:00 - 47:30 be good stewards so I just pray you give us the wisdom to steward correctly faithfully and that you will have an impact um with what we offer you so just uh again commit the gift and the giver into your hands Lord bless them and ask this in your precious name amen amen amen and thanks Steve thanks thanks for that message and and just as you were sharing something that that came to me
47:30 - 48:00 I'll just you know that fell on my heart was you talk about that story of that little boy sharing all right and and and sometimes if you take into our context in our in our world like I find myself going the little I have is it actually worthy enough and and I find that it's almost like that's that's a stopping that that stops from for us take a simple act of giving or or or is sharing your your your story sharing your faith and I think we are all like
48:00 - 48:30 through God we're all worthy and and it is through him and and you're worthy i'm worthy uh not because of our act but because of what he has done and his thing and and so and and I think that's that's what I want to share with you guys with that little thing that what Steve said is is is don't think that you're not worthy with the little you bring and it's not just finance it's it could be a talent you have it could be a story you need to share you are worthy because you believe in God and the what he has done in your
48:30 - 49:00 life so so never think that I it's not enough because he just he wants your faith that's right um you know so so you are worthy so so so yeah so I really thank you for that it was a it was challenging it was it was reflective and and yeah I just wanted to share that with uh with you guys um now before we go get into Paul Paul's message um one thing I I would love for you guys as you listen to it is he's going to give you some questions um I would love for you guys to actually engage with us with
49:00 - 49:30 those questions on the chat u you know as he listens and as he proposes those questions to you put your answers down in here um you know Shel will respond um the community it will it'll be great to look at your perspective and and how you perceive the story i think it's four or five questions um which he will will uh pose uh yeah reflect on them and see how it actually impacts you i I heard his message yesterday and and yeah I was I was really uh taken by it and you know
49:30 - 50:00 it made a great impact and and then just how I perceive every story that Jesus has said or how when I read the Bible so So yeah so when you when you when he does do that uh please please uh Yeah yeah um connect with us on online um fantastic well we have a few other things happening um I know you you guys saw saw the video we have um about the back to prayer uh we you know you saw people saying "I'm 11:00 a.m person i'm a 12
50:00 - 50:30 a.m person." Um you guys can get connected in that as well have you ever done one of those 24-hour prayer things i have not i have not as well but that's why you're promoting maybe we should get involved i think so now that you've said it now it's good what What time person would you be i'll probably be morning morning yeah yeah i might be 11 11 p.m maybe yeah maybe sometimes I go to go to sleep real late so it'll be a great thing to
50:30 - 51:00 you know go to sleep with prayer so I can add as you're praying you fall asleep no no I I don't think we'll actually achieve what what we need to need to do but but yeah know maybe that maybe that's that's a challenge for me um where where I I can get involved in this space oh absolutely i think we all can there is there is always something that we can do you know as going back to what my brother was saying earlier um in that we are all deemed worthy through the blood of Christ there's purpose for each
51:00 - 51:30 and every single one of us and there is impact that we can have uh through sharing our story through just showing God's love um multiple ways uh so and I think prayer is such a powerful tool that perhaps we don't use to its fullest mhm and the impact that prayer can have is oh I think when we when we enter that space of like okay intentionally
51:30 - 52:00 just blocking out this amount of time and giving it to the Lord and just praying perhaps even praying in our um spiritual tongue and it grows the the spirit man inside of us um ultimately we're going to the whole goal is to get closer to the Lord and for him to direct our paths uh so there's plenty of ways that we can get involved in church in church yeah and and online
52:00 - 52:30 and online and online we talk about service online right um hey if you want to be involved in in what we do I'm sure you can connect with with Shel and she would love more people being uh you know online hosts uh but think about life groups right we have two right now uh one's ready to multiply yes you you want to serve see how you can actually get involved first get involved with your online life group and then when if you know times for overflow and need to multiply you can lead one there is
52:30 - 53:00 always space to uh to serve um yeah as Steve said everything life tracks alpha everything is online but there is opportunity for us to be involved that's right now uh we're about to head into the main auditorium to hear Paul speak um feeding the 5,000 um as Shem said earlier there's going to be some dot points um some questions that Paul will pose and again just a reminder we encourage you to sort of um participate
53:00 - 53:30 and put in your think Did you lose it i don't know maybe not uh um put in your answers into the chat uh we'd love to connect with you through that and just yeah as you said see your perspective on it um I think it's going to be quite a powerful message um and yeah there's always something we can take away and then add it into our week uh so it's going to be great how about we just say a quick prayer into it so Lord we just thank you again Lord um as we enter this space um
53:30 - 54:00 uh just we prepare our hearts uh let us have a open mind um open our ears and this gives you a full attention in this time Lord um so I just want to again thank you for all that you're doing in our lives Lord um through the struggles you're always been with us you're present um and through that you strengthen us Lord uh so I just again thank you uh thank you for your word and uh help us just pay close attention and take away some gems from this message
54:00 - 54:30 from Paul Lord so uh yeah in Jesus name amen amen amen and before we actually go into Paul we're actually going to another song for worship so it's just just to prepare so enjoy the worship thank you hosana in the [Music] highest hosanana

58:30 - 59:00 highest come on why don't we give praise to our king hosana to Jesus come on let's give praise today our loving God we thank you [Applause] Jesus while you're still standing let's read the word of God matthew chapter John chapter 6 verse four says "The Jewish Passover festival was near and when Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward
59:00 - 59:30 him he said to Philillip "Where should we buy bread for these people to eat?" He asked this only to test him for he already had in mind what he was going to do philip answered him "It would take more than half a year's wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite." Another of his disciples Andrew Simon Peter's brother spoke up here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish but how far will they go
59:30 - 60:00 among so many jesus said "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass in that place and they sat down there were about 5,000 men jesus then took the loaves he gave thanks and he distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted he did the same with the fish when they had all had enough to eat he said to his disciples "Gather the pieces that are left over let nothing be wasted." So they gathered them and filled 12 baskets with the pieces of
60:00 - 60:30 five barley loaves that were left over by those who had eaten after the people saw the sign Jesus performed they began to say "Surely this is the prophet who came into the world." Jesus knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force withdrew again to the mountainside by himself when evening came his disciples went down to the lake where they got into a boat and set off across the lake to Capernaum by now it
60:30 - 61:00 was dark and Jesus had not yet joined them a strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough when they had rode about three or four miles they saw Jesus approaching the boat walking on the water and they were frightened but he said to them "It is I do not be afraid." Then they were willing to take him into the boat and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were
61:00 - 61:30 heading just one one more passage from John chapter 20 jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples which are not recorded in this book but they are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah the son of God and that by believing you will have life in his name may God bless the reading of his word to us and please be seated amen we're in a series talking about the
61:30 - 62:00 miracles of Jesus in the book of John the seven signs you know that we have already spoken about when Jesus turned the water into wine in John chapter 2 the second sign was Jesus healing a royal official son john chapter 4 john chapter 5 Jesus heals a paralytic man and now in John chapter 6 Jesus feeds the 5000 and this was a miracle that took place and in
62:00 - 62:30 John chapter 6 Jesus walking on the water you know the truth is is that we are a miracle people if you follow Jesus you believe in miracles you believe that God created the heavens and the universe you believe in the virgin birth that Jesus came that he died and he rose again you are you believe in miracles and so as we talk about miracles this is normal for us to
62:30 - 63:00 believe there's a large group of people i'm going to make some assumptions that many have heard this story before and other messages about the feeding of the 5000 but I wonder have you ever been really really hungry ever had one of those days or times maybe you've even got to the point of being hangry you know what is you're so hungry
63:00 - 63:30 it starts to make you a little angry you don't need to respond you can just keep your hands down remember coming to school one day to pick up our kids after school and it was obviously one of our kids was struggling it was a minor miracle that they and a physical act of endurance just to get to the car and as they came into the back seat and flopped into the back of the car they said "I forgot to take my lunch to school
63:30 - 64:00 today i am so And with a little tear coming out of his eye [Music] hungry." And with a heart of compassion we then had Ronald McDonald solve his problem he may or may not have been playing guitar this morning actually when I asked him if I could share that story he said "Actually I think I forgot my lunch dozens of times and I spent many lunch times
64:00 - 64:30 trying to encourage my friends to share their lunch with me." So uh I can tell you now he hasn't missed a meal many years in fact normally there's four or five meals each day at our place for some young men but this is a miracle that took place and this is the only miracle that is listed in all four gospels it's interesting that in Matthew Mark and Luke the Bible says that the
64:30 - 65:00 disciples gave out the food in this miracle in the book of John it says that Jesus distributed the food um it's not to say that there's a conflict it's just to let us know that Jesus was part of this miracle and I think a key for us is to as we in this season of prayer and fasting as we're believing for God to do more and more I think it's a great opportunity for us to have an open hand of blessing others
65:00 - 65:30 because I picture it and this is my daughter's bag and I asked if I could loan it imagine that this boy and I know that it was probably pitter bread that they had but for the sake of the illustration here we are i'm making some assumptions that the boy might have bought his lunch in a bag like this and carried it along and supernaturally as the food was being required Jesus would hand out pit of bread a loaf uh he would give
65:30 - 66:00 the fish and supernaturally the bag just kept being refilled and you can imagine the impact that would have on families that were sitting down on that grass as they were hungry and Jesus came perhaps one of the disciples came with bread and fish to meet their physical hunger and their physical need i think for us as a church community even today as we see some of those bags of hope come back i
66:00 - 66:30 wonder what it is that figuratively God wants to do with our hesshen bag there's things that we're doing in being generous towards others praying for others uh there going to be people that are going to prepare meals for others there's going to be people that have a word of encouragement for others and come alongside others opening your home maybe it's that spurt of energy that you need to keep going well it's like that representation of the hesshen bag i
66:30 - 67:00 believe that God's going to refill the bag whatever it is that you're doing for him whatever it is that you're giving out I pray that he would refill your hesshen bag don't go quiet this morning all right in this series we're asking some questions and the questions that we are asking are going to come up on the screen and we're asking some questions around what stands out to you in this
67:00 - 67:30 story what does this story say about God what does this story say about humans what do I need to do and who should I tell this story to as we go through these questions I think we're going to discover more about Jesus for ourselves we are going to be encouraged to apply some of the things that we're learning and encouraged to share with others the story the things that God is
67:30 - 68:00 doing to share the good news to discover apply and share all that is taking place and I'd love to take time to find out what everybody thinks that stands out to you in the story but the clock is ticking so I'm going to give you a couple but perhaps after our service perhaps at your life group this week you can take a few minutes to share what it is that stands out to you in the story the first one for me is in verse four where the reference is made to the
68:00 - 68:30 Passover it was the time of Passover we know that Passover reflects back to Exodus 4 it was a celebration that would take place it would be in the minds of the people that were there listening to Jesus and it's the time where uh Moses was instructed by God to for the people of Israel to kill a a spotless lamb and they would apply that blood over the
68:30 - 69:00 doorposts of their house and the angel would pass over their house and their those in the house would not be impacted not be killed the firstborn then we know that Moses led the people of Israel through the waters and also that there was mana provided for them in heaven here in John chapter six we see that Jesus provided food bread and fish there was a miracle
69:00 - 69:30 that took place to sustain them and then just a few verses later he walked on water there are parallels that we see here and so at this time of Passover it's fresh in the people's minds they can think through some of these themes that they are they're seeing then we second thing that stands out is in verse 5 where Jesus asks a where question where can we get food how does Philip respond well he's got a how
69:30 - 70:00 question how are we going to pay for it jesus is how can we solve and partner together to see a miracle obviously there's a misalignment in their expectations and Jesus has an invitation to partner in a miracle jesus the Bible says already knew the outcome this was one of those little tests and I'm glad we don't get so many of those today that is recorded in scripture forever but Jesus is asking
70:00 - 70:30 this where question it's a faith question and Philip should have realized after seeing the earlier miracles that it was time that Jesus was going to again perform another miracle and he's looking for us to partner with him and I believe that invitation continues for us today to partner with him in the gospel to see the miraculous unfold to see all that God has for us and as we are sewing
70:30 - 71:00 into times of prayer I sense we're going to see that overflow into our own lives and into the communities that are around us jesus invites us to partner together with him god also uses those that are willing this boy didn't have a lot he only had five barley loaves and two fish and he could have easily justified the fact that somebody had prepared this food for him maybe he had and that he was able to
71:00 - 71:30 go and eat this by himself but yet he offered it over to God he was willing to surrender and participate in this miracle that God has we know that uh the loaves were barley that is the cheapest form of grain that was in that time uh others uh who are a little wealthier would have wheat or oats i know many of you love your sourdough you love your seven seeds multigrain that gets stuck within your
71:30 - 72:00 teeth the last thing that stands out to me in this story is that Jesus then took the loaves he gave thanks and he distributed it to all those that were there and they were able to eat as as much as they wanted you know that feeling when you're full christmas day lunch perhaps over full and yet there was 12 baskets that were left over it's
72:00 - 72:30 interesting in the story that they were so grateful to God so grateful to the miracle that Jesus had done that they wanted to make him king second thing in this story is what does it say about God i believe it speaks of God's compassion towards his people the provision that he provides because God doesn't want to just meet our need through salaries and various investments he wants to be our provider he wants to provide for the
72:30 - 73:00 things that we need he is also generous towards us verse 11 says that everybody ate as much as they want showing us that God is a a generous God can you imagine the testimony for each family as they sat down together on the grass and Jesus or one of the disciples came and gave them food mom and dad sharing together what God had provided um early in our uh ministry lives when we led a ministry
73:00 - 73:30 called Youth Alive we saw God supernaturally provide on many many occasions and it taught us that we don't need to trust in some of our own plans but we can trust in God to provide for the things that he's called us to do when we moved into our um home in Roville we moved in together our kids were young and on the first day that we moved into this house we gathered our family together because wanted our kids to know this is what wasn't just mom and
73:30 - 74:00 dad who'd worked hard for this house it was God who had provided this house for us that God had been generous towards us and then seven or eight years later when we sold that house the last thing we did in that house was gather those kids that were now teenagers and say "Thank you God for providing this house for us we thank you." And even today we are still believing for God to do more things to multiply amongst us in our church
74:00 - 74:30 community and beyond god wants to be at work in us and through us he is a God of miracles and I would invite you along the same train of thought what is it that you are believing for what is that miracle that you're asking God to come and have his way that thing that perhaps in your family situation or a work situation that you have thought has been impossible but yet God invites us to
74:30 - 75:00 hand things to him and invite him to come in and move in our situation that you could believe for God to be at work the third thing is what does it say about humans what does this story tell us well you know after this miracle after they had seen their meal provided suddenly they wanted to make Jesus king and the Bible says they wanted to literally do this by force and so Jesus moved away by himself up to a
75:00 - 75:30 quiet place up on a mountain side and if you continue on reading in John chapter 6 by the time you get to almost the end in verse 66 John 6 verse 66 666 i know it says that many people who were following Jesus abandoned him because Jesus started to talk about the kingdom jesus started talking about the price
75:30 - 76:00 that was needed to follow after him and he wasn't just about delivering their needs and doing the things that the people wanted and if we're not careful we can treat God as our needs require that we want God to deliver we want God to do this and to do that but yet as we surrender and follow after him as we surrender our lives to him we invite God
76:00 - 76:30 to be at work see the people the people that uh sorry I lost my train of thought uh the bread that Jesus was offering in the story the people saw that as an it but Jesus told them that he was the bread of life in verse 26 and 27 Jesus said don't work for food that spoils but the food that endures to eternal life which the son of man will
76:30 - 77:00 give you verse 35 and verse 48 Jesus Jesus says "I am the bread of life." If you're looking for food and sustenance and purpose for life it's not just about a meal but I am the bread of life and Jesus invites us to join him to feast on him as the true bread of life the fourth question that we ask is "What is it that I need to do?" Well you know that Jesus invites us he invites
77:00 - 77:30 the willing those that want to sew in those that want to partner together with him and those that want to sacrifice like this boy his willingness and this kingdom really starts to break out just as we're going to see with these bags of hope this food that is collected it is seeing the kingdom of God move forward and the people got to see a visible demonstration of what it was that Jesus had been teaching them
77:30 - 78:00 but this little boy partnered in a miracle and you know all that I have has got limited potential my finance yes I can do some great investments my resources my gifts my talents my time all of these things have got a limited potential in my hand but you know when I partner with God the limit changes doesn't it this boy's lunch turned into a great miracle and all of those resources that we have as I hand them over to God and I
78:00 - 78:30 share them over with him the potential moves toward to that which is infinite and also affecting eternity such a miracle takes place when we partner with God and I think this is what Paul is talking about in Philippians chapter 2:1 17 that even if I'm poured out like a drink offering on sacrifice and serving coming from others I'm glad and I rejoice with you all what is it that
78:30 - 79:00 he's saying he's saying when I see people pour out their heart before God serve sacrificially give sacrificially we're seeing the kingdom of God move forward and you know I believe that our church is a miracle church i believe that our past uh those things that have been bought us to this point God actually builds he builds line on line precept on precept and there have been lots of people that have swn in prayer
79:00 - 79:30 for our church people have swn time people have swn finances and I'm so grateful to all of those that have swn but there's an invitation that continues the work's not done there's an invitation for us to partner with God to journey with him to sacrificially come early to pray to not on our own behalf but on behalf of others that are yet to know him there's literally thousands upon thousands of people yet to join our
79:30 - 80:00 church community yet to take a step closer to him and each of us are invited to partner with God to see the great things the miracles that are yet to happen we can be a part of that as we partner with God together over these last few weeks I've been hearing some tragic stories in our community i assume many of you have heard those as well the enemy is deceiving people deceiving young people
80:00 - 80:30 and I believe one of the answers is for the church of God to be praying and interceding when I get to the end of the things that I think I can do physically it causes me to come back to prayer and say "God would you move would you move in this situation would you move amongst our children and our young people and our families?" This is an invitation and I think it's a point in time that we need to step up and step into the things
80:30 - 81:00 that God has not just for our church community but for us being part of the answer part of the the the solution to the things that are going on in our society can I ask you to pray with us during the week join us in prayer we are believing for a breakthrough in people's lives the last thing is well who should I tell this story to who should I let know about this great story that has been happening well the truth is anyone and
81:00 - 81:30 everyone anyone and everyone who needs to hear because there is nobody that is too far from God if you believe the media well the church is dying and it's it's old news but actually there is nobody that is too far from God i remember around 20 years ago I was a part of a church in the inner city suburbs of Melbourne and we had this great idea to go and knock on doors and invite people to church that was in a time that when you were home and
81:30 - 82:00 somebody knocked on your door you actually opened it and answered the door some of you know what I'm talking about i go to some people's houses not anybody in our church knock on the door stand there knock again knock a third time then I call them and say "Hey I'm at your front door." Then they come to the door and they say "Oh we thought it was somebody else but that's not any of you I'm sure." Well on this day a young lady
82:00 - 82:30 answered the door and we invited her to church and we said "You're welcome anytime." and kind of kept going through our day and inviting lots of other people around 6 months later in our church it was baptism and we do baptisms here in our church as well and as this young lady was getting ready to the baptism tank I'd forgotten she started to share her testimony and she said "Six months ago some people came to my door
82:30 - 83:00 knocked on the door and they invited me to church i'd never considered going to church before but because I was new to the area I thought I'd go and see what was happening in that church and here six months later she is now getting baptized and is a follower of Jesus nobody's too far from God nobody's too far from him and so who do we need to tell well we need to tell anybody and we need to tell everybody
83:00 - 83:30 and I think it's a great opportunity for us in our life groups over these next few weeks when you catch up in the cafe to talk about who is it that you can invite and then pray for them i want to give you a final thought on the fifth miracle that is in this passage of John in John chapter 6 and that is when Jesus had gone up to the mountainside by himself and you know that the disciples had gone and they had got into a boat and they were rowing
83:30 - 84:00 across this sea and the storms had start to come and I'm so aware that people face storms in life we all face storms of different size and magnitude what I'm encouraged by as I was reading through this passage of scripture is that there are some Bible scholars that say as Jesus went up to the mountain side he could see over that lake he could see what was happening amongst the disciples he could see their
84:00 - 84:30 boat rocking up and down he hasn't left he went and joined them and we see this fifth miracle that took place i'm encouraged to know that when I face a storm that Jesus is with me that even though I can't see him I can't see what's happening around I know that he's watching out for me and looking after me you know over these last 12 months you know that our family's been through some
84:30 - 85:00 difficult situations and um we we're in a bit of a storm we sensed that storm but yet we also sensed people praying for us we didn't sense that we were alone we knew that God was with us and in fact after we've been through the storm we feel closer and tighter together as a family and we also feel closer to God because he was with us in the midst of that storm and I want
85:00 - 85:30 to encourage you today if you're facing a storm if you're feeling like you're in the midst of a storm today I want to pray for you as we finish our service today i'd love to take the opportunity to pray with you james chapter 1 says "Consider it joy when you face these types of trials and storms." Excuse me because it's a testing of our faith and that testing of our faith actually brought us closer to God come on why don't you join me in prayer
85:30 - 86:00 would you stand with me please just want to take a moment to pray for two areas that we've seen that willingness to partner with God in miracles and the area of storms that people would be facing in their lives if you're facing a storm would you just open your heart to God maybe you want to lift your hands to him if you're in a storm you know you're there but Jesus is with you in that
86:00 - 86:30 [Music] storm loving God thank you that in the midst of a storm we know you're with us thank you that Jesus is with us and I pray for each person in this situation whatever it might be in a family in a workplace financially i pray that you would come and you would be at work thank you that you restore thank you that you perform miracles in our lives
86:30 - 87:00 and we believe for that today we believe for you to be at work we hand these situations to you when we are at our wits end when we're not sure what to do when we feel anxious when we feel overwhelmed thank you that we can hand these situations to you and God I pray that you would move pray that we would hear story after story of your goodness your grace and your mercy i pray for all of us as a church community that we would say yes to you
87:00 - 87:30 when you invite us to be part of the miraculous let us be willing participants in all that you would want to do i pray for some of the new opportunities that are going to emerge even for some of us at the more senior age who feel that they've done all the things that they have you've got new things for us you've got new opportunities for us to step into trusting you again to believe that you
87:30 - 88:00 can do the impossible god I pray for all of us that today that willingness that saying yes to you that response would be something that would leap within us saying yes to partnering with you to believe for the miraculous loving God come and have your way i pray come and move amongst us we pray in Jesus name amen amen come on why don't you open your heart to God as a team lead us in this song let him speak to you and challenge
88:00 - 88:30 [Music] you so you heard your children you heard your children you hear your children now you are the same God you are the same God you

91:00 - 91:30 can you thank Paul for that great word today on Welcome back guys welcome back um well I hope you enjoyed that did you enjoy that message i certainly did yes and just and and thank you for you know getting involved and participating and answering those questions and you know there's some great discussion there for me one of my favorite section was and it was very a reflective moment about when he says what what does it say about
91:30 - 92:00 humans you know like I really thought about okay what does what does it say about me um you know and and and sometimes we you know we know we're not perfect i mean it actually asks us uh what where can we improve and where do we actually need God in our lives and and I think that human aspect is always searching for where you need God um you know and um and I loved how he actually threw in Jesus walking on on on the water as well as as another miracle um
92:00 - 92:30 and I I I think my biblical knowledge is good enough to say this but I I I think the about Peter you take Peter when when he asked God that if if you are God let me call me to you and and when you talk about you know uh worthiness and faith and and he asked God that I know who you are call me out and and God's calling all of us he's calling us for a purpose so let's take that leap of faith let's actually take that first step be willing
92:30 - 93:00 to take that all you need is you know faith of a mustard seed you know it's little you just got to take that little step out and then God will do the rest as he always has um so so thanks thanks for joining us this morning guys how about we um uh say a prayer as we go into the into this week hey dear Lord again just want to thank you for this time Lord thank you that we can gather together worship you give you glory Lord um learn about you um and uh for us to grow our faith and for us to
93:00 - 93:30 be bold in the word to be able to then share it Lord so as we go into this week Lord uh you have gone before us you know what we need you know and who we're going to encounter in this week Lord um and I just pray that uh as you've gone before us Lord that you would prepare us for this week that we won't just be Sunday worshippers that we will take what we have heard and
93:30 - 94:00 implement and be intentional about conversations we have about the prayers that we pray for and um uh I I just want to just thank you Lord just give you all the glory Lord um I just want to talk about and just pray about again uh the earlier prayers that we did Lord for Colleen and her eye surgery uh for people who are just going through tough times Lord with family I just pray for your peace upon them uh for your hand to be upon them to guide them through it give them the peace and wisdom
94:00 - 94:30 transcending peace that only you can give us Lord uh so as we enter into this week I just pray that we boldly step into what we have to and things that are hindering us and perhaps putting a bit of fear in us Lord i pray that you take that away and you break that in Jesus name Lord um so I just again thank you for all that you're doing all that you have done and all that you will do Lord um in Jesus name amen amen amen well have a great week
94:30 - 95:00 thanks for joining us yes love you all bye see you next Sunday [Music]
