24:00 - 24:30 first five years of life and then this uh document shows two brains you know and two young ladies uh one taller than the other the the shorter one um malnourished the taller one you know she's normal growth uh she was nourished you know she ate well um so and you might not be able to see the the the difference between the two brains but uh but there is a difference there
24:30 - 25:00 malnutrition in the first five years prevents the brain from fully developing that's an effect if a child is malnourished in the first five years of life the brain does not fully develop learning and mental capacity is impacted another word for effect impacted both learning and mental capacity often for the rest of the child's life it's quite tragic there are many many problems when it comes to chronic hunger
