Chapters
00:00 - 00:30: Introduction and Spoilers Warning This chapter serves as an introductory warning for players of Expedition 33, advising them not to complete the game just yet. It hints at significant end-game content, including numerous dungeons, epic battles, and top-tier loot. The narrator advises viewers to tackle specific end-game encounters before starting a New Game Plus. It includes spoiler warnings for players who have not yet reached the final stages, suggesting they revisit the video after progressing further in the game.
00:30 - 01:00: Cheater Pictos and Leveling Up Pictos In this chapter, the focus is on acquiring 'cheater pictos' and 'leveling up pictos' to enhance gameplay, specifically during a final boss encounter and end-game scenarios. The author explains the advantages of cheater pictos, which allow players to take two turns in a row, providing a strategic advantage in managing difficult encounters. The location of these cheater pictos is given as starting near the sea, east of the crimson forest. The text suggests that obtaining these pictos is crucial for enhancing builds and easing the difficulty of end-game content.
01:00 - 02:00: World Bosses and Pictos Recommendations In the chapter titled 'World Bosses and Pictos Recommendations,' the focus is on strategies to defeat a 'giant navron' boss and manage 'pictos.' The 'giant navron' is described as being half-submerged in water but manageable to defeat despite having several million health points, achievable even at level 50 with an incomplete build. After defeating the navron, players should then focus on leveling up their pictos by equipping them on less important side characters. Furthermore, defeating continent encounters is recommended to enhance gameplay in various ways.
03:00 - 05:00: Leveling Up Weapons and Catalyst Farming This chapter discusses the importance of leveling up weapons and farming catalysts in the game. It highlights the benefits of unlocking PTOS powers for all party members and acquiring extra weapons and chroma catalysts from bosses on the continent. The narrator emphasizes the high consumption of chroma catalysts for weapon upgrades and suggests that leveling up through defeating monsters can conserve resources and expedite progress in the game.
05:00 - 08:00: Best XP and Lumina Farming Methods The chapter discusses effective methods for farming XP and Lumina in the game. It highlights the benefits of defeating specific world bosses, with an emphasis on the serpent hair boss. This boss is significant as it provides the energy masterp, which increases AP gain by one, benefiting any abilities that offer free AP.
08:00 - 11:00: Secret Encounters and Weapon Maxing The chapter titled 'Secret Encounters and Weapon Maxing' delves into strategies for maximizing damage output through secret encounters and upgrading techniques. It discusses the importance of maximizing dodges for bonus damage and recommends a particular location, north of the endless night sanctuary, to find the 'empowering dodge' upgrade. Additionally, it highlights another significant upgrade obtained from defeating a boss near the coastal cave entrance, which drops a crucial item referred to as 'warming up.' These upgrades are essential for enhancing performance until a perfected build is achieved.
11:00 - 13:00: Character Relationship Unlocks and Dungeons The chapter discusses the importance of character relationship unlocks and dungeons, focusing on strategies to enhance gameplay. It highlights the use of 'pictos' to increase damage, which can stack up to five times. Players are advised to prioritize leveling up weapons, as it significantly boosts stats, attack power, and stat scaling, particularly at weapon level 33, the maximum level.
16:00 - 18:00: Painting Wars and Statue Power-Up This chapter focuses on enhancing player stats in a gaming context, specifically discussing the importance of reaching high levels to double damage output. The chapter emphasizes level 32 as a practical target for boosting weapons through grandiose chroma catalysts, which are more accessible than items required for level 33. It suggests gathering these catalysts from various sources available to players past level 50 or 60.
18:00 - 20:00: Abyss and Simozo Weapon The chapter titled 'Abyss and Simozo Weapon' focuses on a strategy for acquiring a large number of items, specifically through open world encounters. The narrator suggests a method that allows players to gather these items efficiently, even when resources such as catalysts are scarce. By engaging in open world encounters for the first time, players have the chance to receive random items like weapons or pictos at no cost. This method is highlighted as a way to jump levels significantly, such as from level 20 to 28, and saves players from spending catalysts unnecessarily.
20:00 - 21:00: Endless Tower: Final Gauntlet and Rewards This chapter discusses strategies for navigating the Endless Tower and provides guidance on maximizing rewards. It suggests skimming through open world encounters, which are mostly manageable at levels 50 to 60, as a means to gather experience and resources. As players advance in the game, these tasks become increasingly easier.
21:00 - 21:30: Conclusion The conclusion of the chapter focuses on navigating to a specific location in a game, particularly emphasizing the journey from the second golden tree waypoint to a challenging fight with a gestual merchant. This encounter, although difficult, rewards players with 2 million XP, making it a valuable effort for advancing in the game. The map is described as small, with straightforward directions to reach the destination.
Expedition 33 - Important Things You Need To Do Before Finishing The Game, NG+ & Secret Encounters Transcription
00:00 - 00:30 Don't finish Expedition 33 just yet. The end game is actually huge and holds many dungeons, epic fights, and obviously the best loot. Before you jump into New Game Plus and start fresh, here are some of the best encounters you will want to first focus on in the end game. Obviously, this video will cover content that comes in super late. So, a huge spoilers warning ahead to everybody. If you did not reach these final chapters just yet, maybe come back in and check this video at a later date. Of course, I do recommend you also don't finish the
00:30 - 01:00 final boss encounter and take your time with end game because like I said, there are many things in there. So, let me show you some of the stuff that will accelerate some of the builds that will make some of these encounters a lot easier to manage. And first things first, get the cheater pictos. This is going to be very good because it literally lets you play two times in a row compared to everything else. You will get this by the way right here on this side of the map pretty much in the sea a bit further east from the crimson forest. You will find sprung over here a
01:00 - 01:30 giant navron that's half submerged in the water. If you defeat this you're going to get the pictos and it's not going to be that difficult even though it does have a couple million HP. I was able to finish this even at level 50 with an incomplete build. At number two from this point on you're going to want to level up your pictos. So, equip them on your side characters on which you don't care what you have. And in this case, go ahead and just defeat continent encounters. This is going to further help you in a number of ways. First of
01:30 - 02:00 all, it's because you're going to level up and unlock those PTOS powers for everybody in your party. Second of all is because many of the bosses on the continent will give extra weapons, more chroma catalyst that you need to upgrade said weapons, extra pictos, and of course, they will also level up existing weapons. You will actually burn through a ton of chroma catalyst. So, if you can save a bit on that by just having these level up randomly as you defeat the monsters, this can definitely fasttrack
02:00 - 02:30 you even quicker to one of the best builds. Of course, since we are on the subject of defeating world bosses, here are some of the ones I recommend specifically for what they give. One is the serpent hair, which is this giant floating serpent boss that you likely saw on the map. It's a very epic encounter that gives you the energy masterp. So, this is going to make every AP gain to be increased by one, which is actually huge. If you have any power or ability that just gives you free AP,
02:30 - 03:00 you're going to get two instead of one or plus one depending how much you got previously. Another one is empowering dodge. You can find this pretty much in the open world right here north of the endless night sanctuary. This is actually really good because you're just going to get bonus damage as you're doing dodges, and that's something you're going to be doing a lot up until you get your perfected build. Another one I recommend is from this boss right here in front of the coastal cave entrance. You likely saw this before, but it's going to drop the warming up
03:00 - 03:30 pictos, which increases your damage by 5% per turn, and it can stack up to five times. And while we are on the subject, at number three, also make sure to level up your weapons. This should be one of your primary focus and that is because you're going to massively increase the stats on that including how much attack power it has and especially you're going to increase the stat scaling that the weapons get at level 33 which is the maximum jumping to scaling to at least
03:30 - 04:00 one of the stats. And in most situations this means literally doubling your damage in one single level. Now max level 33 is not something you're going to likely achieve anytime soon if you just jumped into the end game. So until then, level 32 is your best bet as grandiose chroma catalysts are way more common so you can boost weapons. So for now, try to focus on getting as many of these as you can. There are a number of sources. Many of the boss encounters you will have past level 50, 60, and so on
04:00 - 04:30 will drop a ton of these, and I'm going to show you a method to get a ton of them in just a little bit. In the meantime, if you're short on catalysts or can't afford to buy extra from the vendors, defeating openw world encounters for the first time will also often times boost one or two random items, including either weapons or pictos, for absolutely free. So, you can see some of these jumping from like level 20 all the way to 28, which saves you on so many catalyst that you don't have to waste any longer on those
04:30 - 05:00 weapons. So go ahead and just skim all of the open world. Most of these encounters should be completable quite easily, even at around level 50 to 60. So this is going to just become much easier as you progress even more in the game. And that brings us to the best XP Luminina and Chroma Catalyst farming method in the game, which is going to be right here at Renoir's Drafts in the northern part of the map. essentially make your way here in the middle of the
05:00 - 05:30 ocean and go inside and simply make your way up until the second golden tree waypoint very close here to the next flag. So, the map is small. It's very easy to reach here and once you are just make your way upwards this path at the top of the nearby building this time around to your right side. So, here is where you're going to find this gestual merchant that you can go ahead and challenge to a duel over and over again. It's not going to be an easy fight, but this is going to give you 2 million XP
05:30 - 06:00 per fight. And I was able to start it all the way from around level 60. So, you're going to literally reach level 80 in minutes. It's going to give you like two, three levels initially, and then it's going to taper off only counting one level up until around 80 and then it's going to fall off a little bit more as your XP exponentially increases. But, it's still one of the best in the game as long as you have the damage. Just keep in mind that all of these mobs have around 2 million HP, so make sure that you use a character that can deal a ton of damage. Myel in this case is one of
06:00 - 06:30 the top tier pigs. She has the stand hall at this stage. Also, the phantom strikes, which are absolutely OP, so the more you build towards that, the better you're going to fare and the quicker you will complete this. On top of this, you also get one to two random power of Lumina, which makes this one of the best Lumina farms at this stage in the game. But also make sure that you buy the extra color of Lumina as there are 30 of them right here at the vander. So you can quickly apply those to your favorite character or just split them between
06:30 - 07:00 your whole party. But in Renoir's drafts, you can also get one of your first perfected chroma catalysts to at least max out one of your weapons. Again, I recommend that being for example Myel's weapon as you want to max her out first. In this case, it's going to be in a secret encounter against the chromatic creation as you're making your way towards this location with the vendor. But instead of going to the right side towards the vendor, you want to pay attention here around the scaffolding to your left. You're going
07:00 - 07:30 to find a painted vine blocking the area. But as long as you found at least four of the lost gestals for Sastro, you can pretty much get the power to paint break. So you can pretty much unlock it and defeat the boss right away. In this case, if you already got the Medelm for Myel, you can go ahead and max it out as that's one of the best weapons in the game. Now, if for some reason you never got the Medelum weapon for Myel during the early stages arena challenge in the gestal village, what you can do is have
07:30 - 08:00 another attempt now, but against Golgra, you also have to play with Myel to ensure you get that weapon. And Golgra will definitely not be easy. However, you don't need a tough build to beat her with Myel because of her standal ability specifically. So, as long as you have the painted Pictose to unlock 10,000 damage plus, and as long as you're going with any decent damage stacking build in Vertoso stance, you can pretty much go ahead and complete it. I just equipped my highest level weapon at that stage
08:00 - 08:30 that wasn't even related to my build, and I was still able to three-shot her after a few attempts. Which brings us to number six, unlocking all of the character relationships. We already saw how powerful these are with Esqa. As at level 5 to six, we can unlock underwater swimming, which is going to give us even more chances to grab a ton of this power of Lumina. But we can get other powers, including gradient attacks and some really cool unlockables by progressing relationships with other characters,
08:30 - 09:00 including some specific dungeons. However, most important are these dungeons. We have a handful of them that are super endgame, but they provide some of the toughest challenges, cool epic encounters, and some of the best rewards. So, with the exception of Esqua, all relationship progress can be started once you get Verso in your party early on in the game. And you can more or less level up all of the relationships to level five before you reach act three. But for level six and seven, which are the maximum, you can
09:00 - 09:30 only do so after the start of act three. And it's these levels that provide the best rewards and also the missions relating to those dungeons. Luckily, you cannot miss any of this as you can simply go at any point after act three, talk to your companions over and over at your camp, and progress in their dialogues and specific missions up until you increase your relationship with them. So, starting with Esqua, once you reach act three, you can pretty much rank him up all the way to level five right away by spamming dialogues with
09:30 - 10:00 him at the camp. You will then have the option to travel with him back at his layer to defeat Francois once again in a final encounter, which is what unlocks underwater diving for the first time. Once you are back at the camp after that encounter, you're going to have a final chat with him a couple of times, which would then bump you to level six and then level seven, which is going to be the max. This is also going to unlock the angel's eye gradient attack. So, this now deals extreme physical damage. It's an eight hit attack that gains perfection per hit and even applies a
10:00 - 10:30 buff that can revive a Verso if he dies in combat. Next, we have Myel at level four. She gets the Phoenix Flame. This is a rank two gradient attack that applies 10 burn stacks to all the enemies and even revives your allies with 50 to 70% HP. So, very good. Even those burn stacks are a lot since we have so many pictos that boost either damage or critical chance when enemies are burning. But once you do reach act three, you can just talk to her again at
10:30 - 11:00 the camp, get to rank five, and then rank six relationship. And this is now going to give an objective for her to clear the reacher dungeon. It's this tall wooden structure in the northeastern part of the map. And I will say it's one of the lengthiest dungeons in the game, filled with enemies, epic boss encounters, and tons of loot. There's even a secret boss right before the final encounter. So, make sure you don't skip that. For some reason, many boss guys online even miss that there is
11:00 - 11:30 such an option here. But once you do finish the whole dungeon, you're going to get some pretty cool hairstyle for Myal. Also, quite a lot of weapons if you defeated everything, including the lithium sword for her, which can be a good alternative to the melim. However, it's not going to touch it in terms of damage, but it can still provide some other effects over there. You also get gumage. Pretty much a one-shot ability, but otherwise it deals extreme void damage if it's not a weak target. So, looks cool and it can easily reach
11:30 - 12:00 millions of damage. Now, next is going to be Lun. At rank four, you get tree of life, which is a nice partywide status cleanser and healing spell. At level six, which you can progress to once you reach act three of the game, you get the quest to clear the Siren's dress dungeon right here up northeast on the map. Luckily, this dungeon is not as big as the previous. You have a brief encounter at the end of which you're going to get the Coralim weapon for Lun. So, this at
12:00 - 12:30 level four has a 100% crit chance when four stains are active simultaneously. A level 10 gives 20% increased damage for each consecutive turn without taking damage stacking five times. So that's literally free 100% damage increase. And the level 20 plus critical hits apply burn, which again not too shabby if you're going with a burn build. Once the dungeon is cleared, you get transported back at the main camp and can have the final conversations with Lun. Once maxed out, this also unlocks Skybreak level
12:30 - 13:00 three gradient, a onehit extreme damage AoE that deals damage depending which stains Luna has the most. Moving on to CL, she does have the Doom gradient attack, a level to one that deals very high single target dark damage and applies powerless, defenseless, and slow for three turns on the target. Pretty much every single best debuff in the game. And if you have pictos that further benefit from these, either by
13:00 - 13:30 powering them up even more or by increasing your damage when the enemy has this on them, this can be one of the best options in the game. Plus, it can break the enemies, mind you. So, this is what you get at level four. Once you do hit chapter 3, you can level her up all the way to six, which is not going to give you a new dungeon, as far as I'm aware. You're just going to have this swimsuit cutscene at some point with her and Verso. And good to note is that you can romance or well have a romance option with either her or with Lun, but
13:30 - 14:00 only once per playthrough. So whichever of them you choose, that's the one that's going to be set in stone for that whole playthrough, and you cannot change them back. The other character will just not present you with that option anymore from that point on. So make your choice, Selune in this case, and you're going to have different cutscenes for them, but as far as I'm aware, nothing changes gameplaywise. But this is also much simpler to finish. Once you're back from that and are past act three, you can talk to her at the camp over and over. And once you max out that relationship,
14:00 - 14:30 you're going to get end slice gradient attack. This deals extremely high single target physical damage. And the damage is increased for each forell consumed since the beginning of the battle. So the more you consume fertile, the more you generate fertell, the more it's going to count towards this ability specifically. And finally, there's Monaco. At relationship four, you get sanctuary. This is going to give two shields and applies regen to all allies
14:30 - 15:00 for three turns. Once you do get to act three, you can spam conversations until you reach rank six. And once you do that, here is where Monaco will ask you to help him in the sacred river dungeon to rescue a certain somebody. You can find it right here on this side of the map. It's just a bit further east from Monaco station. So, it's not too far away. But whatever you do, just be sure that both Verso and Monaco are well equipped and also have a pretty decent build because you're going to fight a
15:00 - 15:30 certain somebody over here that's not easy. Also, make absolutely sure that you don't skip the merchant in the area. You will have to fight it, but it has access to a number of very strong endgame pictos, including solidifying, energizing parry, energizing turn, and also glass cannon, especially glass cannon, you will want that. And if you already got those from somewhere else, they will just get upgraded. So this means better stats from them. But once you're done, transport it back to the camp, you can just have the final conversations, max out to level seven
15:30 - 16:00 point at which you get break point. This is another ability that deals extreme single target damage, uses weapon element, and fills the targets break bar, and even breaks it. Now, there are a couple more locations that I recommend before some of the endgame parts, and this is one of my favorite parts of the game. It's called the painting wars. You likely found at least one of these paintings that you can portal through. And the thing is that they all bring you to a very strong boss encounter. So,
16:00 - 16:30 you're going to find one a bit southeast of the forgotten battlefield. Another one is a floating island further northeast on the map right here. And the final one will be northwest from there up from the Vizar Island on this side of the map. And you're going to have to find and also visit every single one of them because they will all present jumping puzzles during which you're going to find this NPC around the middle canvas that provides one of the three needed parts to power up the statue at the end. So this includes the shape, the
16:30 - 17:00 light, and the color of the beast. And once all three are assembled right here at the main statue from all the three locations, you're going to open up the final boss encounter area here in the back. Again, make sure that you're high level for this because I will say this is one of the toughest bosses at this stage. So, I will say at least level 60 or maybe something that can deal significant damage because if you defeat this, you're going to get a very strong big toast called at death's door. or if
17:00 - 17:30 you got this from before, it's going to get leveled up. And this is one of the best in the game for endgame builds. You pretty much deal 50% more damage if HP is below 10%. And given how Myal works, this is literally going to work extremely well with her sacrifice ability that turns her straight away to the Vertoso stance. So, you literally have this constantly up and everybody gets one-shotted. Also, make sure that you talk to the boy on your way out. he's going to be right now besides the
17:30 - 18:00 portal and get the extra perfected chroma catalyst from him to boost up another weapon to 33. And there's one final encounter that I will talk about before we actually talk about the true endgame challenge, and that's going to be the abyss. And this is found pretty much past the golden tree waypoint we talked about in Renoir's drafts. So, you literally enter the dungeon to enter another dungeon. But this is going to have one singular and very tough boss fight, but also probably the most
18:00 - 18:30 cinematic and cool that I have ever seen in any game. It pretty much gives me some Elder Ring vibes over there. I'm not going to lie. No spoilers or anything. Go ahead, make sure you have a very good build for this and be sure that you also are well prepared. But in this case, you're going to get the Simozo weapon for Verso. So, when you get this, it's already maxed out at level 33, which means you can use it right away, but it also comes with some very strong bonuses. At level four, an
18:30 - 19:00 athereal sword deals light damage on any damage dealt with skills. So, you literally have extra damage sources at level four already. Level 10, it has a 20% chance to apply burn on dealing light damage. And level 20, cannot die if at least rank A. And like I see, only 2% or a bit more than that, of the player base, at least on Steam, was even able to defeat this boss at the time of making this video. So, yes, it is a challenging boss fight, but with Myel,
19:00 - 19:30 you can probably one-shot it. I'm not going to lie, level 80 plus Myel can absolutely destroy him. But until then, I recommend not using her if you want to maybe have a bit of fun. Which brings us to our true final encounter over here, which is obviously the endless tower. this massive spiraling tower that you likely saw at the early parts of the map. This is going to pretty much be your final gauntlet against the toughest enemies in the game with some extra rewards on top to test your best builds out. So, this is going to be made out of
19:30 - 20:00 11 stages with three trials each, obviously totaling to 33 encounters with fights increasingly getting stronger and stronger enemies and progressively providing better rewards. But at least a few starting stages are very useful and the rewards are also pretty good. You get tons of grandiose chroma catalysts and also colors of lumina to further boost your weapons and your character. Also, when you finish the final trial number three for each stage, you will get typically either tons of cosmetics
20:00 - 20:30 like cool hairstyles for all the characters, even the clear outfit for Verso if you finish the whole gauntlet, but also very useful pictos. So, let me give you a few examples. This includes greater defense list at stage one, trial three. Also, energizing rush at stage two, trial three. This gives 2 AP on applying rush. A charging critical at stage five trial three. This is going to give you 20% of a gradient charge on critical hit, but only once per turn. So, since you're going to have a very
20:30 - 21:00 high critical hit, this is one of the best options in the game. And finally, rush on powerful. Stage 9, trial three, apply rush on applying powerful. But these are not the only pictos. Pretty much every single final third trial of every stage will either give you one of those cosmetics or a pictos or both of them at the same time. And this concludes just a portion of the end game. There's likely still a lot left for you that you haven't completed. Maybe even early locations that you could visit, but you never did. So
21:00 - 21:30 again, I am baffled that such a small team can create such a massive game and still keep it inspiring and very fun all the way. like a hundred hours in it. But that's pretty much it with the video. Let me know down below if there's any other cool endgame events that you completed. In the meantime, I will see you guys in the next
