Overview
Dread is back with an enthralling yet challenging strategy in Last Epoch, centering on a distinctive bossing character. This character is tailored for tackling bosses, helping players farm collapsing horizons with increased efficiency and fun. By cleverly using the weaver's tree to imprint the double collapsing horizon, Dread carves a path for a solution to sustain the in-game economy and create enjoyable gameplay.
The key to this strategy lies in the strategic placement of woven beacons within a high-corruption monolith. With careful beacon deployment, players can maximize the number of collapsing horizons they encounter. Despite needing some setup, the method is lauded for its ease and efficiency, requiring only a good movement speed and a tactical mind to excel.
While this farming method does not yield certain high-demand items like harbinger eyes, it's a critical way to gather other resources, such as timeline stability and world splitter turtle food. Dread's infectious enthusiasm is hallmark, making the journey informative and entertaining for both new and veteran players.
Chapters
00:00 - 00:30: Introduction and Overview In this chapter titled 'Introduction and Overview', the speaker, Dread, introduces the topic of the video, which is about his recent experience with a new type of farming activity. He describes how he has been enjoying this different kind of farm and mentions creating a 'bossing' character specifically for this purpose. This character's main use is to defeat bosses, and the speaker shares his approach to making money with this character by using a strategy called collapsing horizon farm.
00:30 - 01:00: Weaver's Tree Imprinting & Cemetery Strategy This chapter covers a specific strategy that involves using a 'weaver's tree' and a 'double collapsing horizon' technique. Initially, the focus is on imprinting the double collapsing horizon. Following this, the strategy involves using a cemetery located in a high corruption monolith. The narrator discusses setting up multiple beacons in the cemetery to execute the strategy effectively. This involves a detailed placement of beacons as demonstrated by the narrator.
01:00 - 01:30: Beacon Placement and Strategy This chapter titled 'Beacon Placement and Strategy' discusses the approach to positioning beacons. Initially, the plan involves placing beacons in various areas quickly. After visiting a cemetery, woven beacons are introduced as a topic. These beacons can be generated by spending memory amber or by employing a strategy to produce infinite memory amber. The discussion hints at using these beacons in conjunction with the 'collapsing horizon' farming method, although this is not fully explored in the transcript provided.
01:30 - 02:00: Natural Generation of Woven Beacons This chapter discusses a technique for naturally generating woven beacons. The author prefers this method to save collapsing horizons for different builds. The method involves placing woven beacons in a circular rotation. The transcript describes placing a gray beacon and other woven beacons strategically to uncover specific areas.
02:00 - 02:30: Beacon Coverage and Success Rate The chapter discusses strategies to maximize efficiency by utilizing beacons within a limited timeframe. The strategy involves a focus on expanding coverage through suboptimal beacons, termed 'shitty like woven beacons'. Observations suggest that 'collapsing horizons' typically appear near the center, emphasizing this area as a priority for beacon placement. The effectiveness of placing beacons in central areas is contrasted with attempts to extend coverage in specific directions, suggesting central placement yields better results.
02:30 - 03:00: Rebeaconing and Rotation In this chapter titled 'Rebeaconing and Rotation,' the focus is on improving strategies by efficiently placing beacons. The speaker explains that by optimizing the placement of beacons, they have achieved greater success. During this process, they encountered four different collapsing horizons, which is noted as the minimum observed so far. The speaker emphasizes the importance of a character having adequate movement speed to effectively execute this strategy, even covering areas with fewer echoes.
03:00 - 03:30: Final Rotation and Conclusion In this chapter titled 'Final Rotation and Conclusion', the focus is on achieving high speed and strong stability, likened to monocultures. The discussion highlights the strategy of farming beacons as part of maintaining stability. The chapter wraps up by indicating a plan to defeat several bosses quickly as part of a rotation strategy.
Last Epoch Collapsing Horizon Bossing Beacon Reveal Farming Strat Transcription
00:00 - 00:30 Hello, this is Dread and in today's video topic, over the past few days, I've been doing a different kind of farm than normal and I've been having a lot of fun with it. So, I want to talk about it. So, I have rolled a bossing character. This character is a bossing character. Pretty much the idea is you kill bosses with it, right? So, you need something to be able to make money as a bossing character. And I think I found a way to go about it. So, we're going to be doing some collapsing horizon farm. So, the first thing that you're going to
00:30 - 01:00 do, in my opinion, is you're going to go to your weaver's tree and you're going to imprint double collapsing horizon. Right? That's the first thing you need. Then, the second thing you need to do is you need to find a cemetery in a high corruption monolith like I'm doing right now. See, we already have a collapsing horizon. So, the reason why we're going to go in the cemetery is we're going to actually go and plop a bunch bunch of beacons around. I'm gonna like plop a plop a beacon here, here, and here. I'll show
01:00 - 01:30 you when we get there. We're going to be plopping some beacons around. So, we're going to go do that real quick. I'll be back when that happens. All right. So, now we just got done with a cemetery that I showed you. What we're going to do is we're going to take some woven beacons. Okay. So, you can generate these by either spending your memory amber off the bat or you can do the strategy where you can print infinite memory amber. And you could technically do the collapsing horizon farm uh collapsing horizon with these. But I
01:30 - 02:00 like to naturally generate them because I'm actually saving all of my collapsing horizons for like a different build. But this is how to naturally spawn them in an easy way. So, what we do is we take our woven beacons and we just simply plop them in kind of like a circle rotation here. So, we're going to do that. We hit a gray beacon there. Good. Here you go. Boop. Another woven beacon. Another woven beacon. And then, uh, that one should cover that corner. So, the idea is we're trying to uncover
02:00 - 02:30 as much as possible in a very short amount of time frame. So, we're just going to go and do that one. Do that one. Do that one. You can even use shitty like woven beacons and push out even farther technically, but like from what I have seen currently, at least currently, the collapsing horizons like just spawn near the center. At least from what I have seen, I've seen way more collapsing horizons spawn near the center in this way than I have if I like try to jut out in a direction. And I've
02:30 - 03:00 had way more success by doing that. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go through and do all of these beacons real quick. I'll be back. Rebeacon. And this time around, we hit four different collapsing horizons. So, we have hit one here. We had one here, then one here, and then one here. So, normally, I believe four is the minimum of what I've seen so far. As you can see, we didn't even cover that many echoes. And as long as you have like a character with decent enough movement speed, like it goes
03:00 - 03:30 really fast, like these monos. And of course, you also get pretty good stability because you are farming beacons. So, I'll be back. We're going to go kill a bunch of bosses real quick here in a rotation.
03:30 - 04:00 Heat. Heat.
04:00 - 04:30 Heat. Heat.
04:30 - 05:00 Heat. Heat.
05:00 - 05:30 All right. So, now we've done all of our
05:30 - 06:00 farm here. We have done pretty much
06:00 - 06:30 everything. I have found that it's not
06:30 - 07:00 really worth trying to push out too much in general as you seem as though you do not get as many as you do when you, you know, push out. So now we're going to go and reset my web and then I'm going to do it again and show you the like I'm going to cut to the end of the process again next time and just show you what it looks like to do it again just to prove that like my thesis is correct because I've been doing this for a few hours now. It's been pretty
07:00 - 07:30 cool. So, got to whip that Orvis. Whip that. Whip that. Whip him. Whip him real good. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Whip me. Whip me harder. Yeah. There you go. Perfect. All right. I'll be back when I'm finished with this. All right. So, I did the same exact thing and we got a whole another rotation going. We got one, two, three,
07:30 - 08:00 and four, and five. So, one, two, three, four, five. We have five this time. So, four is like kind of the minimum. And then you just keep cycling through these. And then you use all the extra stability because if you kill him, by the way, uh without dying, like kill the harbinger, you actually get like full bonus stability every single time. And it ends up being a lot of extra stability on top of that. So, like it ends up being a lot of timeline bosses as well. Unfortunately, these bosses, they do not drop the harbinger eyes or
08:00 - 08:30 close to envy. So, if that's what you're looking for, that's not what you're going to get. But, I have been slamming world spplitters and world spplitters and world spplitters for my turtle food farm pretty much. And I've gone through a very large amount of them thanks to this setup. So, uh that's how I do it. I'm going to leave a link down to the uh you know my weaver tree down below as well if you want to see it. But with all that being said, this has been Dread. Off to go do something else. Bye.
