            • 13:00 - 13:30 this we pray in the precious and Most Holy Name of Jesus amen amen there are different ways of approaching Bible prophecy let me share with you some of those ways that we can approach the study of Prophecy first of all we have the Thematic approach what does that mean it's when we take Bible verses from
            • 13:30 - 14:00 scripture and we organize them in the order in which final events are going to take place because the Bible has a little bit here a little bit there about end time events an example of that is the book last day events which is a compilation of the writings of Ellen White basically they take from all of the places in the writings of Ellen White all of the places that we find in the Bible Bible and they put all of the events in
            • 14:00 - 14:30 order and they insert the statements that have to do with that particular event are you understanding what I'm saying so the book Last Day Events was not written by Ellen White You Know the Way It Is presently simply they've taken from the writings of Ellen White and they put all of the events in order which she doesn't put in order she says one thing here another thing there and so we have to put together everything like a
            • 14:30 - 15:00 pule that's the Thematic approach and by the way we need to do that from the Bible as well are there verses that talk about the Sunday law in the Bible of course are there verses that talk about the close of probation yes of course are there verses that speak about the time of trouble are there verses that speak about the second coming does the bible put them all in order no so what we do we take here there everywhere and we study and we put everything in
            • 15:00 - 15:30 chronological order but we take from different places there's a second way in which we can study Bible prophecy and that is from The Book of Genesis the Book of Genesis is a prophetic book yes it's full of stories but the stories point to end time events what was local becomes Global at the end of time let me give you some examples Genesis
            • 15:30 - 16:00 3:15 that is a prophetic text that is picked up in Revelation 12 where the dragon goes after the woman wants to kill the woman and he does it not personally but he does it through his seed are you following me or not and uh flees to the Wilderness time times the dividing of time the same five elements that we find in
            • 16:00 - 16:30 Genesis 3:15 are found in Revelation 12 you have two seeds the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent we have a dragon or or called the ancient serpent as well we have enmity you have all of the elements of Genesis 3:15 in Revelation 12 Revelation 12 is the Fulfillment of what was literal and local in the Old Testament
            • 16:30 - 17:00 the story of the flood that's points to the end times Jesus says As it was in the days of Noah so also will it be at the coming of the son of man and by the way that story of the flood has all of the basic or most of the basic events or sequence of end time events you have the closing of the door the time of trouble after the closing of the door you have the world returning to the condition it was in before cre ation just like at the
            • 17:00 - 17:30 Millennium you have the wickedness of man you have the preaching of a judgment hour message by Noah all of the elements are there and Jesus said it's a prophetic story it's a story it's but it's prophetic as it was in the days of Noah so also will it be be in the days of the Su coming of the son of man Jesus also says as it was in the days of lot so will it be at the coming of the son of
            • 17:30 - 18:00 man that is a typological story the story of Cain and abble is a typological story their experience was a microcosm of the End Time Crisis what was the issue between Cain and Abel worship and obedience and what happened when Abel did not do what Cain said
            • 18:00 - 18:30 a Cain gave a death decree against him and killed him are you follow me and what was placed on Cain a mark a mark of protection so no one could kill him at the End of Time the Beast is going to put a mark of protection on his followers who whose Mark of protection would you rather have God's or the
            • 18:30 - 19:00 beasts Gods we can also study end time events from the perspective of Daniel and Revelation but that becomes a problem to study only from there because in Daniel Revelation you don't have all of the end time events in all in order Daniel runs in Cycles Daniel 2 is repeated in Daniel 7 is repeating in Daniel 8 and 9 is repeating repeated in Daniel chap
            • 19:00 - 19:30 11 and the Book of Revelation he even more complex the churches are repeated in the seals the seals are repeated in the trumpets you kind of have to fill in the gaps and even later on in Revelation you have Cycles so unless you understand the structure of Revelation you're not going to be able to make sense out of it so it's not in chronological
            • 19:30 - 20:00 order another way that we can study Bible prophecy is with The Parables of Jesus by the way I've done anchors on all of these see The Parables of Jesus are prophetic you better believe it I did 50 presentations on the end time dimensions of The Parables you know you have the story for example the story of the unjust judge I
            • 20:00 - 20:30 prefer to call it the story of the persistent Widow the judge is God represents God the Widow represents the church that has lost everything in the time of trouble because Jesus says shall not God avenge his own elect the wiow represents the elect during the time of
            • 20:30 - 21:00 trouble the enemy or the adversary is Satan who cleans out the Widow and the fact that the judge did Justice to the Widow after delay represents that God will do justice to his people after the time of trouble I'm only giving you a few examples but The Parables of Christ are prophetic parallel Parables that apply
            • 21:00 - 21:30 not only to his day and age but also to the end time for example a parable of the 10 virgins is that a prophetic Parable yes the talents absolutely the the sheep and the goats all these you can study end time events with The Parables but my favorite is Matthew 24 and the reason why is because all of
            • 21:30 - 22:00 the main events of the end time are in chronological order so what you can do you have the structure of Matthew chapter 24 which has the sequence of events in their order and then you can take from other places and plug in what you find in other places that complement what we find in Matthew chapter 24
            • 22:00 - 22:30 so if you want to know what the sequence of end time events is the best way to do it is studying Matthew 24 and that's what I do in these study notes so that you know the sequence of end time events and that's what we're going to look at here uh in the next few sessions now I want to share with you seven Great truths about Matthew 24 seven Great truths truth truth number
            • 22:30 - 23:00 one I'm going to read a statement from Ellen White it's from gospel workers page 148 gospel workers page 148 how important is Matthew 24 according to the spirit of Prophecy it's of supreme importance that's my first point this is what she wrote the 24th chapter of Matthew is presented to
            • 23:00 - 23:30 me again and again that's important as something that is to be brought to the attention of all we are today living in the time when the predictions of this chapter are fulfilling let our ministers and teachers explain these prophecies to Those whom they instruct and then she counsels this let
            • 23:30 - 24:00 them leave out of their discourses matters of minor consequence and present the truths that will decide the destiny of souls Matthew 24 has something to do with the destiny of Souls and Ellen White explains here she says Let the ministers and teachers explain these prophecies and let them leave out of their discourses matters of minor
            • 24:00 - 24:30 consequence and present the truths that will decide the destiny of souls so the first point is that the study of Matthew 24 is extremely important the second point is that Matthew chapter 24 was written not primarily for people of the world Matthew 24 was not meant to convince the world as they look at the signs that Jesus is coming
            • 24:30 - 25:00 soon that is primarily yes it can be but the original intent of Matthew 24 is not to convince the World by the signs that Jesus is coming soon the purpose is to keep God's Own people from being deceived and you say really where do you find that
            • 25:00 - 25:30 well let's go to Matthew 24:4 where this chapter begins by the way the purpose of the chapter is that Satan is going to do everything in his power to deceive discourage persecute and kill Those whom are followers of Jesus in Matthew 24:4 we find these words and Jesus said answered and said to them he's speaking to his
            • 25:30 - 26:00 disciples take heed that no one deceives you who is Jesus speaking to his disciples the discourse of Matthew 24 is given to the disciples and Jesus says make sure my disciples that no one deceives you notice Matthew 24:5 the very next verse here Jesus says in Matthew 24 for many
            • 26:00 - 26:30 will come how in my name are they Christians yes do they claim to be Christians well if they don't why do they call on his name for many will come in my name saying I am the Christ and will what deceive many so once again the
            • 26:30 - 27:00 um the warning is for those who claim to follow Jesus those who claim the name of Jesus another example is Matthew 24: 15 and 16 it's talking about the abomination of desolation and we're going to deal with this probably Friday night the abomination of desolation let me ask you col word worldly person understand what is the
            • 27:00 - 27:30 abomination of desolation no let's read those verses he's speaking to the disciples remember therefore when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet were worldly person know about Daniel the Prophet talking about [Music] this standing in the Holy place whoever reads let him understand then
            • 27:30 - 28:00 let those who are in Judea these are the followers of Jesus flee to the mountains let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house with someone who's not a follower of Jesus understand what the abomination of desolation is no but would Believers understand yes because Jesus says when you see to his disciples when you see see the abomination of
            • 28:00 - 28:30 desolation know that the end is near and flee a worldly person wouldn't know that unless we told them by the way are we supposed to preach Matthew chapter 24 of course because don't we don't want other people to be deceived either but it was given primarily for those who claim the name of Christ notice Matthew Matthew 24:
            • 28:30 - 29:00 23-2 Matthew 24 23-2 remember once again he's talking to his disciples this whole discourse has to do with Christ warning to his disciples or his his followers Jesus says to them then if anyone says to whom you who was his target audience the disciples then if anyone says to you look here is the Christ or there do
            • 29:00 - 29:30 not believe it for false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive if possible the world what is the purpose to receive whom the elect and then Jesus Ends by saying see I have told you before
            • 29:30 - 30:00 hand are you with me now you might say well who are the elect are the elect people who have accepted Christ notice Romans 8:33 and 34 Romans 833 and 34 here the Apostle Paul writes who shall bring a charge against against God's
            • 30:00 - 30:30 elect it is God who justifies who is he who condemns it is Christ who died and furthermore is also risen who even as at the right hand of God who also makes intercession for us was the Apostle Paul part of the elect sure he was and he's writing to whom to the Romans where were they also the elect of course they
            • 30:30 - 31:00 were so the second point is that Matthew 24 was given especially to keep God's people from being deceived that in the midst of discouragement persecution and the threat of death they would remain firm that's us now are we to tell the world this of course once we have embraced it then
            • 31:00 - 31:30 God calls us to share it so that other people aren't deceived Point number three we must study all three accounts together in order to get to get the complete picture this sermon by Christ in Matthew 24 is found also in Mark 13 and Luke 21 and each gospel has details that the
            • 31:30 - 32:00 other gospel doesn't have so what you need to do is conflate the information of all three so you can get the complete picture are you following me or not so we can't stay in Matthew 24 we have to go to Mark 13 and we have to go to Luke 21 because there's information in each of
            • 32:00 - 32:30 the gospels that is not in the other gospels so you need to complement each gospel with the other let me just give you a few examples Matthew 24:7 says for nation will rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom and there will be famines pestilences and earthquakes in various
            • 32:30 - 33:00 places but Luke 21:1 adds a word and there will be great earthquakes in various places so Matthew says earthquakes Luke says great earthquakes it's one example another point Matthew says that there's going to be
            • 33:00 - 33:30 famines pestilences and earthquakes but Mark adds a word to the list that is not found in Matthew Mark 13 and verse 8 what does it say there in Mark 13 and verse 8 it says and there will be
            • 33:30 - 34:00 troubles do you know what that word indicates riots internal unrest not wordss and rumors of wars with with other nations no riots tumults it's the same word for example that is used to describe the pool of Bethesda do you remember the pool of Bethesda
            • 34:00 - 34:30 episode that they believe that the first person who jumped in when the waters were troubled got healed well that word stirred or troubled is the word that appears here it's talking about internal strife within the nation are we seen that these days I think we know for sure yes
            • 34:30 - 35:00 now another example I want to give you just a few examples and we'll see some of these we'll see more of them as we study along Matthew 249 and 10 tells us that the faithful will be betrayed but it say doesn't say by whom notice what it says in Matthew 249 and 10 then they will deliver you up to
            • 35:00 - 35:30 tribulation and kill you and you will be hated by All Nations for my name's sake and then many will be offended that word offended means turn against someone someone who supported before now turns against we'll see that in a minute and it says and will betray one another and will hate one
            • 35:30 - 36:00 another who is the one another there Matthew 249 and10 doesn't tell us but Mark 1311 11:13 does it tells us who's going to be offended it tells us who's going to betray who it says then Mark 13:1 but when when they arrest you and deliver you up do not worry beforehand or
            • 36:00 - 36:30 premeditate what you will speak but whatever is given you in that hour speak that for it is not you who speak but the Holy Spirit now verse 12 now brother will betray brother to death so now we know who's going to betray who who's going to be offended and a father his child and children will rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to
            • 36:30 - 37:00 death does that add to what we find in Matthew 24 yes it certainly does and you will be hated by all for my name's sake but he who endures to the end shall be saved so we know who's going to be offended some people who walked with Christ before and now they turn against their own family and their own
            • 37:00 - 37:30 friends betrayal another example is when it speaks about the abomination of desolation of the importance of looking at all three gospels together notice Matthew 24:15 Savor place there in Matthew Mark 13 and Luke 21 it says there in Matthew
            • 37:30 - 38:00 24:15 therefore when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet listen carefully now standing in the Holy place where is the abomination of desolation going to put be put in the Holy Place whoever reads let him understand Mark 13:14 something that is not in Matthew and we'll take a look at why
            • 38:00 - 38:30 this is important I just want to catch want you to catch the principle of complimenting each gospel with the other notice Mark 13:14 the same same concept so when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet standing where it ought not so where is the holy place the abomination of desolation is there
            • 38:30 - 39:00 but it shouldn't be there and then when you get to Luke you say this is way out in left field it doesn't look anything like what Matthew says we're going to take a look at this it says in Luke 21:20 but when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies then know that it's desolation is near so what is the abomination of
            • 39:00 - 39:30 desolation it's The Siege by the Roman [Music] armies you say well you know that's passed no worry for us because the Roman armies they surrounded Jerusalem in the past doesn't have anything to do with us it does we're going to see that so is it important
            • 39:30 - 40:00 to relate all of these verses from the different gospels so when we end it says standing in the Holy place the abomination of desolation stands in the Holy place where it shouldn't be and it has to do with armies surrounding Jerusalem now the abomination of desolation is not the destruction of the city the Desolation is but the Abomination
            • 40:00 - 40:30 isn't Luke helps us understand that because the holy place is outside the walls you say how do we know that because Luke says when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies are you with me or not so the abomination of desolation is outside the outside the confines of the city when the armies or the legions are surrounding the city and then of course we know that the
            • 40:30 - 41:00 Desolation is the result of the Abomination when the Abomination is placed there the Desolation comes as a result so let's go to fact number four Matthew 24 has a two-fold fulfillment it has a past fulfillment and it has a future fulfillment much larger
            • 41:00 - 41:30 fulfillment let's go to Matthew 24: 1-3 you're going to see that the disciples asked Jesus two questions one has to do with Jerusalem literal Jerusalem and the other has to do with the end of the age or the end of the world it says in Matthew chap 24: 1 to3 then Jesus went out and departed from
            • 41:30 - 42:00 the temple and his disciples came up to show him the buildings of the temple and Jesus said to them do you not see all these things ass surely I say to you not not one stone shall be left upon the other that shall not be thrown down is he talking about the literal Temple of Jerusalem yes and The Disciples of course they're sh Aken by what Jesus has said you mean to say these 50 ton stones are going to
            • 42:00 - 42:30 be overthrown there's not going to even be one on top of another you got to be kidding me so the disciples are confused and they're going to ask Jesus two questions verse three now as he sat on the Mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately saying tell us when will these things be what what does that refer to when will these things
            • 42:30 - 43:00 be the destruction of the temple now comes the second question and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age are you catching the picture now let me read you some statements from Ellen White she understood this there's several allow me to indulge she repeats it time and again that
            • 43:00 - 43:30 Matthew 24 has a twofold fulfillment one with literal Jerusalem the literal Roman armies and the other with spiritual Jerusalem with the apostate church and with the faithful who see the Abomination And when they see the sign they flee and then comes the destruction the first statement is Last
            • 43:30 - 44:00 Day Events page 18 it says here Christ forewarned his disciples of the destruction of Jerusalem and the signs to take place prior to the coming of the son of man did you understand that Christ forewarned his disciples of the destruction of Jerusalem and the signs to take place prior to his coming and then she writes this the whole of

            • 48:00 - 48:30 deception similar to that which caused the destruction of Jerusalem now what was the similarity between what led to the destruction of Jerusalem and what will lead to the destruction of the world primarily those who profess the name of Jesus Christ she wrote The Great sin of the Jews was the rejection of Christ the great sin of the Christian world would be their rejection of the law of
            • 48:30 - 49:00 God I say what comparison can there be between rejecting Christ and rejecting the law let me ask you this what is the law a reflection of Jesus lived the law in human flesh elen white says he is the embodiment of the law so how can you re reject the law and say I love
            • 49:00 - 49:30 Jesus how can you reject the image of Jesus and yet claim to follow Jesus it's the same sin isn't it here's another one great controversy 36 the savior's prophecy concerning the visitation of judgments upon Jerusalem is to have another fulfillment of which that terrible desolation was but a faint
            • 49:30 - 50:00 Shadow you read the first chapter of great controversy you say that was a faint Shadow parents eating their children gnawing on the leather of their sandals Starving Children Killing their parents you read that chapter it's it's Ellen White says that that Satan

            • 50:30 - 51:00 picture so Jerusalem is a she said faint shadow of what's coming globally so she writes the savior's prophecy concerning the visitation of judgments upon Jerusalem is to have another fulfillment of which that terrible desolation was but a faint shadow in the fate of the The Chosen City we may behold the Doom of a
            • 51:00 - 51:30 world that has rejected God's mercy and trampled upon his law Thoughts From The monol Blessing Pages 120 and 121 the ruin of Jerusalem was a symbol of the final ruin that should overwhelm the world listen carefully now the prophecies that received a partial fulfillment so what happened with Jerusalem was what a partial fulfillment
            • 51:30 - 52:00 in the overthrow of Jerusalem have a more direct application to the last days so Matthew 24 it points more directly to the destruction of Jerusalem or to the end of the age to the End of the Age we are now standing on the threshold of great and solemn events a crisis is before us such as the world
            • 52:00 - 52:30 has never witnessed and one final quotations testimonies to ministers and gospel workers page 232 the warnings that Christ gave to Jerusalem were not to end with them the judgments upon Jerusalem were a symbol of the events of Christ's coming to judgment in the last day when before him shall be gathered all nations he shall set send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather
            • 52:30 - 53:00 together his elect from the Four Winds from one end of Heaven to the other do we have enough evidence that what happened with Jerusalem is going to happen globally at the end of time I think I've read I think I've read enough statements El why is saying you know the disciples asked two questions so Jesus intermingles two answers to the questions now fact number five let's review the
            • 53:00 - 53:30 facts that we've studied so far fact number one the study of Matthew 24 is very important fact number two Matthew 24 is primarily to warn the world no to warn the church fact number three we must study how many
            • 53:30 - 54:00 accounts John doesn't have it all three accounts and complement one with the other fact number four Matthew 24 has a twofold fulfillment fact number five Matthew 24 is in strict chronological order oh yes yes and you know there's always someone
            • 54:00 - 54:30 and we're not going to cover this here but it's in the study notes somebody always says oh Pastor B in Matthew 24:29 it says that the soul will be darkened and the moon will not give its light the Stars will fall from Heaven uh and there'll be a great earthquake oh well you know how can you say that verse 29 is uh at the end time when that happened in in Lisbon and it happened on the dark day and it happened falling of the stars in 1833 how can you say that that's that
            • 54:30 - 55:00 those signs in the heavens are talking about something that happens at the second coming the fact is that the signs in Matthew 24:29 are not the same signs of Revelation 6 and verse 12 and 13 there's differences Matthew 24:29 is talking about signs when Jesus comes Revelation 612- 13 is talking about the
            • 55:00 - 55:30 signs that took place in 1755 1780 and 1833 in that order so Matthew 24 is in chronological order there are several there are several chronological details in Matthew 24 let's notice them Matthew 24 and verse 6 Matthew 24 and verse 6 listen to this temporal uh
            • 55:30 - 56:00 expression and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars see that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet so what we see there in um Ukraine and in Israel those are wars and rumors of wars but Jesus says the end is not yet so are we to expect
            • 56:00 - 56:30 more yes then notice verse seven for nation will rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom and there will be famines pestilences and earthquakes in various places verse eight all these things are the beginning of Sorrows see another temporal expression no don't get all bent out of
            • 56:30 - 57:00 shape because you see war in Ukraine and in Israel don't get all bental of shape because you see earthquakes and you see pestilences like covid-19 and so on because Jesus says the end is not yet when you see wars and rumors of wars the end is not yet when nation Rises against nation and there are pestilences and earthquakes and so on one so are we to expect
            • 57:00 - 57:30 more let me ask you this why who is causing all of these uh calamities who do you think is causing all these calamities earthquakes uh floods conflagrations like in Los Angeles conflagration means a fire that no one can put out devastating fire who's causing all those things who do you think God is causing them right no God is permitting
            • 57:30 - 58:00 them why the next verse tells us verse n we're going to see that this refers to the little time of trouble while probation is still open have you ever heard of the little time of trouble here it is right here it tells you the reason why notice that the first word in verse 9 is
            • 58:00 - 58:30 what then then then when after the beginning of Sorrows right then what's going to be the consequence who are they going to blame for all these disasters Ellen White wrote that it is going to be they're going to blame God's people but we don't have to depend on G white because the very next verse tells
            • 58:30 - 59:00 us then incidentally that word then appears many times in Matthew chapter 24 to describe a sequence of events and according to the dictionaries that Define the words in Greek it refers to one event that occurs after after another that's what the word then means
            • 59:00 - 59:30 it's the word tote in Greek it always means it's used a hund times in Matthew alone and without exception I looked all of them up without exception it describes one event that takes place after another in sequence so it says then they will deliver you who is the you there he's speaking
            • 59:30 - 60:00 to his followers they will deliver you up to what tribulation now it's stands unqualified tribulation is unqualified right tribulation doesn't have an adjective with it right remember that's important because later on the chapter we're going to find a a verse that says the Great
            • 60:00 - 60:30 Tribulation that's the big time of trouble after probation closes so it says then in verse 9 then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you question can this refer to events after the close of probation no why not because after the close of probation there will be no Martyrs that's right so this has to be a tribulation before probation closes because some of
            • 60:30 - 61:00 God's people are going to be killed are you with me or not then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you will be hated by some Nations by All Nations for my name's sake they're going to suffer for the name of Jesus and that takes place after wars and
            • 61:00 - 61:30 rumors of wars Nation against Nation Kingdom against against Kingdom pestilences earthquakes Etc it says then as a as a result of this all of this they're going to look for a scapegoat God's people now not verse 10 and
            • 61:30 - 62:00 then many will be offended what does that mean many will be offended they're going to fall away they're going to be they're going to fall away and we'll see that in our study then many will be offended will be one another and will hate one another what happens when this persecution comes and some people are
            • 62:00 - 62:30 are killed who are going to be the ones that are going to do this well we read the parallel in the gospel of Mark right parents children children parents friends friends who are offended against God's people and then notice verse 14 and this Gospel of the Kingdom will be
            • 62:30 - 63:00 preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come does Jesus come after the gospel is preached to the whole world yeah so is it in chronological order of course now notice verse 16 then when you see the abomination of desolation then let those who are in Judea flee to
            • 63:00 - 63:30 the mountains that's the next event in the order and then notice verse 19 but woe to those who are pregnant in those days and nursing babies in those days in which days the days when people are being offended and when God people are being persecuted are being killed when they
            • 63:30 - 64:00 see the abomination of desolation and are fleeing then what verse 19 says in those days that's in the period of of the tribulation then notice verse 21 for then there it is again when God's people are fleeing it says for then there will be Great
            • 64:00 - 64:30 Tribulation see that's not Tri unqualified tribulation this is the real deal for then there will be Great Tribulation this is after the close of probation because it says such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time no nor shall ever be would that have to be the final time
            • 64:30 - 65:00 of Trouble Is there going to be a bigger time of trouble than that has there ever been a bigger time of trouble than that so what time of trouble is this talking about it's talking about the time of Jacob's trouble it's the same concept that we find in Daniel 12 ver1 actually before that in chapter 11: 44 it says that the King of the North which represents the papacy will go out with the intention of slaying and destroying
            • 65:00 - 65:30 God's people and then it says when they're about to be destroyed says Michael shall stand up that great Prince that stands watch over the children of his people and there will be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation same time of trouble but at that time your people shall be delivered everyone who has found written in the book God's people aren't going to die they're going to be delivered amen is this making sense see this a beauty of Matthew 24
            • 65:30 - 66:00 everything is in Chron chronological order and then in verse 22 you have the expression those days of the Great Tribulation will be cut short it says there in that by the way that is a temporal expression those days referring to the Great Tribulation let's read ver verse 22 and unless those days were shortened no flesh would would be saved
            • 66:00 - 66:30 it means nobody would be alive is that after the close of probation that the death decree Comes Is God going to shorten that period yes he is praise the Lord no flesh would be saved but for who's but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened now here comes Satan Satan's
            • 66:30 - 67:00 personation of Christ Ellen White in great controversy applies these verses to the personation of Christ after the Clos of probation in the midst of the Great Tribulation and I'll get a little ahead of myself we're going to take a look at this more closely in our last presentation what we find
            • 67:00 - 67:30 here in verse 23 where it says then if anyone says to you here is the Christ or there do not believe it do you know Ellen White tells us exactly when Satan is going to counterfeit attempt to counterfeit the the um second coming of Christ Christ she says that God's people are going to be crying out day and night for
            • 67:30 - 68:00 deliverance from their enemies now listen carefully every single time that Ellen White uses the expression crying out day and night it applies to the clo to after the close of probation 33 times in her writings here's where you have to insert the story of the Widow she's crying out to the judge day
            • 68:00 - 68:30 and night and Jesus says will not he avenge their elect who cry out to him day and night so then Satan person Christ do you know why he does it because people are crying out and Ellen White has this we'll talk about this in our last presentation she says that God's people are going to be crying out and saying
            • 68:30 - 69:00 please God Deliver Us at that moment is when Satan is going to personate Christ he's going to come and he's going to say I have come to answer your prayers Ellen White calls it the almost overmastering delusion why is that almost because it won't deceive the elect see s Satan's focus at this point is not to deceive the World by the personation of Christ it's to deceive
            • 69:00 - 69:30 the elect because because they haven't they haven't bent the knee and so Satan this is the last resort and people say well doesn't the devil already know that the the elect are sealed and that he can't deceive them no Ellen White says that Satan doesn't know in the chapter on the time of trouble Satan does not know he suspects but he doesn't know but let's suppose that Satan
            • 69:30 - 70:00 knew that the elect were already say already sealed and safe let's suppose that he knew you say why then would he counterfit the second coming it would be a lost cause he would give up no he wouldn't let me ask you this do you think Satan knows that after the Millennium when he gathers all the wicked he's not going to be will to overcome the city if he doesn't he's not pretty
            • 70:00 - 70:30 smart because he can read Revelation 20 hello it says that fire will descend from heaven and consume him and the wicked so why after the Millennium does he gather all of the wicked to surround the city when he already knows he's not going to be able to overcome because he's the devil he doesn't give up he says maybe this one time I can counteract what God has
            • 70:30 - 71:00 said are you with me and I'm getting ahead of myself but we're going to talk more about that no let verse 23 once again then if anyone says to you look here's the Christ or there do not believe it for c for false Christ and false prophets and show Great Signs and wers to deceive if possible the
            • 71:00 - 71:30 world who is Satan's Target the elect because there's this idea that Satan's going to personate the second coming to deceive everybody to keep Sunday no at this point all of those that are keeping Sunday are going to continue keeping Sunday and those who keep the Sabbath are going to continue keeping the Sabbath probation is closed at this point then notice verse 29 let me see if I can find this in the
            • 71:30 - 72:00 gospel of I'm not sure if it's in the Gospel of Luke where you have another then that is not in Matthew let's see if it's in Luke 21 um in a minute we're going to read uh Matthew chapter 24 and verse 29 but let me go here and see if it's I'm not sure if it's in Mark or if it is in um Luke anyway let's read for now Matthew 24 and verse
            • 72:00 - 72:30 29 Matthew 24 and verse 29 immediately after the tribulation of those days is that a temporal expression uhuh is that the next event that brings the tribulation to a close yes because it says after the tribulation of the those days now comes the signs in the
            • 72:30 - 73:00 heavens are these the same signs of 1755 1780 and 1833 no these are the signs in Joel chapter 2 and Joel chapter 3 and a passage in Isaiah chapter 13 that's a different set of signs same Heavenly Bodies but different set of of signs and so it says immediately after the tribulation
            • 73:00 - 73:30 of those days the sun will be darkened the moon will not give its light these can't be the same signs of the past because in 1780 the moon was still giving its light but it looked like blood are you with me details are important and then what does it say then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven and
            • 73:30 - 74:00 then are these all sequential events one after the other yes and then all the tribes of the earth will W mourn and they will see the son of man coming on the Clouds Of Heaven with power and great gor glory and this is where I'm not sure if it's in Luke or if it's in mark but in verse 31 either in Mark or Luke it says and then he will send his
            • 74:00 - 74:30 angels it doesn't say then in Matthew but it does in Mark same verse so let me ask you is Matthew 24 in chronological order it's a beautiful way of studying end time events by the way when we study this more carefully we're going to study the sh we're going to find the shaking all of the main events we're going to find in in precise
            • 74:30 - 75:00 sequence so was Ellen White right you know in the Adventist Church Folks our the foundation of our Doctrine is not Ellen White the foundation of our Doctrine is the Bible but what I Marvel at every day as I study the spirit of Prophecy is the harmony between what she says and the Bible she amplifies what is contained in
            • 75:00 - 75:30 scripture she does not add or subtract she amplifies she expands what is in the Bible and uh so you notice that even though I read statements from Ellen White about the Matthew 24 having a dual fulfillment we find that in Matthew 24 don't don't we she's simply amplifying what scripture already contains and
            • 75:30 - 76:00 she's making it clearer she's amplifying it expanding it if you please okay so far so good now this is an incredible point the book of The Great controversy follows the exact chronological sequence of Matthew
