            • 22:00 - 22:30 You're such a good God. You know, church, my one go-to scripture that I go to almost every week. It's found in Proverbs 3, 5:6, and it says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding, but acknowledge him and he will direct your steps." And you know what I love about that scripture is it says to not lean on your own thoughts, not rely on your own
            • 22:30 - 23:00 thoughts and emotions, but instead acknowledge him. Bring him into your circumstance. Bring him into your situation. And he will. It's a promise. He will direct your steps. Amen. So this morning, I don't have any prayer requests in my hand, but there are plenty up on that cross. Amen. Amen. And I know there are people who have come to church this morning with areas in their life that they are believing for. So with your faith and mind together, can we pray? Yeah. Father God, we just thank
            • 23:00 - 23:30 you for every single person that is coming into your house this morning. Whatever situation that they are facing, Lord God, we bring to you God. We ask Lord God that you will give us the faith that is required to believe for more. Lord God, we pray for doors to open where doors need to open. God, we pray for doors to be shut where they need to be shut. Father,
            • 23:30 - 24:00 where there's healing needs to take place, we ask for healing, Father God, for provision, for peace, for faith to rise, Father God, in this place. You know every situation more than we even understand it ourselves. Lord God, we acknowledge you and we invite you into our situations, Father God. And we thank you in advance for what you are going to do. And the house of God said, "Amen." Amen. Amen. Amen. Welcome. Good morning, church. How are we? You're good. You're
            • 24:00 - 24:30 sounding amazing. Why don't you turn to the person next to him, give them a high five, and say, "It's good to see you in church." Good morning, Lisa. Good morning, Pastor Christian. Good to see you. I love a chatty church. Yes, chithatty church. Chatty church. If we if we we could go on for ages and ages here. • 25:00 - 25:30 know I've been in church for at Enjoy well at Enjoy Church for nearly 17 years and what I have seen firsthand is that those that are planted in the house do flourish and that's what the word of God says. So, if you want to know a little bit more about our baby dedications that are running next Sunday, head to the hub. Um, register your interest and they will give you all the information that you need. That's right. And just on this theme of babies, toddlers, next week I
            • 27:00 - 27:30 want to announce that we will be launching our parents lounge just through the foyer. What's a parents lounge, you might ask? Oh, we got some people clapping. Well, who knows that sometimes toddlers aren't all that compliant in the service. Yeah. Their attention span is just a little bit less than us. Yeah. Right. So, we want to host any parents that that go through the effort cuz it's an effort to dress your kids, bring them to church, but want to be able to listen to the service. Coming into this week, it was a it was an awesome week last week, Easter weekend. And one word came to mind and that's blessed. Blessed. Turn to the person next to you and say blessed.
            • 29:00 - 29:30 Blessed. It's a noun. and it means God's favor and protection. Now, I was born in Argentina many, many moons ago, but I love this country of Australia. I am blessed to be an Australian. And I remember it wasn't too far away. It was in Sunshine Town Hall where we became Australian citizens many, many moons ago with my parents there. And it looked like a room like this, full of people from all nations, tribes, and tongue.
            • 29:30 - 30:00 And I remember at the end of the service of the ceremony, we had to sing the national anthem. And and the verses of the Australian na national anthem are a mouthful at best of times. But can you imagine coming to this country not knowing English very well, everybody just kind of hummed all the verses. But can I tell you once we got to the crescendo, the last part of the anthem, a Vance Australia fair, the room was beautiful. every accent all harmonizing
            • 30:00 - 30:30 singing the very last line of the anthem was beautiful. And on this Anzac long weekend, I am aware and so grateful because I know the freedoms and the blessings that I experience here in this country are because of the sacrifices and generosity of so many individuals who have served this country, who have given for this country and who have loved this country. And if you serve in the military and you're in our auditorium today, and I know there's a
            • 30:30 - 31:00 few of you, we just want to say thank you. So, Joyce, just say thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Today, we might not serve in the military or have to put our lives on the line for our country, but we are called as Christians to imitate Christ. Amen. First John 3:16, it says, "This is how we know what what love is. Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay our lives down for our brothers
            • 31:00 - 31:30 and sisters. And skipping over to verse 18. Dear children, do not love with words or speech, but with action and truth. The Bible tells us that our generosity should be modeled after our savior's selflessness. He gave his life for us. And it's not enough for us to talk about love, but to express it with examples of generous sacrifice with our lives and with our resources. We are
            • 31:30 - 32:00 blessed because coming out of Easter weekend, it was the biggest Easter weekend that enjoyed church has ever seen. We had hundreds of baptisms, countless salvations across in joy. Miracle stories of someone coming to church, multiple people coming to church that same Sunday, giving their lives to the Lord and then baptizing themselves with all their clothes on. They didn't even prepare for it. Church, we are blessed. And I know that God builds his church, but in part, we partner with
            • 32:00 - 32:30 God. And we are blessed that so many enjoyers for so many years have given of their time, their talent, and their resources for expanding the kingdom of God. Amen. So if you're still working that out, can I encourage you to take this step of faith? God is faithful. Amen. Let's pray. Father God in heaven, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your generosity towards us, God. We pray that we would imitate Christ the

But I I want to encourage you if you get the opportunity to stretch your lungs a
            • 35:00 - 35:30 little bit in the house of God and decide that you're going to declare even if you're not feeling awesome in the moment, you know what some what you know how quickly you can shift sometimes as you begin to speak it out as you begin to smile as you begin to lift your voice as you begin to declare Lord God because you're good I am good. Yeah. Amen. God is good all the time. And all the time God is good.
            • 35:30 - 36:00 That's so good. Well, was you know, we've just uh we're about normally we would go directly into another worship song. We're just going to take a moment right now because there's just some people we really want to honor and uh in the house. But before we do that, I want you to turn your eyes to the screens for a clip from Shane. He's in North this morning unfortunately, but he's um put up a recording on the screen. Check it out. Hey there, enjoyers. Hope you're doing really well. Well, here we are. We're in a very special time of today's service,
            • 36:00 - 36:30 and that is a time where we're about to celebrate and pray for Pastor Michelle Morris. You know, the truth is I wish I could be there in the service today. I can't. I'm at the north and I I got to be up here to preach the word of God. But you today are there to not only acknowledge and say thank you, but also pray for Pastor Michelle as she steps out not only on an incredible holiday with her amazing husband Ian. Uh but as they go today, she's also stepping out of enjoy to follow and pursue the dreams that are in her heart in regard to ministry and the things that God has got
            • 36:30 - 37:00 for her. So, I just want to say on behalf of Georgie and myself to you, Michelle, uh, and Ian, but particularly Michelle, in context of your ministry here at Enjoy, you have been amazing, outstanding. We love you. We appreciate you. And I know as I say we love you and appreciate you. I'm speaking on behalf of all all of Enjoy Church, but particularly the Westies. But we love you. We appreciate you. You know, I I personally want to say thank you for your service to the Lord and to Georgie and I, your faithfulness, your commitment, uh, not only to the Lord and
            • 37:00 - 37:30 to us, but also the enjoyers. So, today, we love you. We honor you. And I I just want you to know that as you and Ian come on to the platform in a moment, we want to we want to pray. We want to bless you. And we just want to say thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for all you've done. And we are praying God's richest blessings as you step out to pursue what's in your heart. We pray God's bless uh best upon you and we bless you in Jesus name. So God bless you. We'll see you real soon. God bless and bye for now. So if uh Pastor Michelle and Ian
            • 37:30 - 38:00 would like to come up into the platform, got Christian up here as well. Maybe Lisa, you could come up as well. Come on. Why don't we give it up? [Music] I can't stand at the back. We've got to stand up front. Come on. She's not a fan of the front of the platform, but that's okay. Just for
            • 38:00 - 38:30 today. Just for today. The reality. Mish and Ian as well. You have been a great blessing to us as a church. You have been great blessing to us as a people. I know Michelle, you've been a great blessing to me personally as a as a friend and alongside and uh like if if you're new, that's the only way you wouldn't know Pastor Michelle is if you're pretty new to Enjoy Church because the reality is she has served in so many areas. You have been incredible
            • 38:30 - 39:00 in pastoral care. You came in and you started in pastoral care and then it wasn't too long and then suddenly she was over all of pastoral care. And at the same time, you came alongside me in Bloom Ministry. Well, in those days it was Essence Ministry. It's gone through a few name changes. Essence, Bloom, it's now Adore. And you have been alongside as an incredible friend and coworker in that in that um arena. Again, like you
            • 39:00 - 39:30 have so much of you has been sewn into our women through what we do because of your input um in everything. And then of course you went into new steps. Next steps. New steps. New life. Next steps. Next steps. I had to get at least one thing wrong up here. You've come you came into next steps and you have like really grabbed a hold of it and you've reorganized and just made it a wonderful flow. Um and so many people are not only being blessed
            • 39:30 - 40:00 by you but because of your hand on things have will continue to be blessed because of the input and the things that you've left here at Enjoy and the the lives that you have touched and changed and because of that many others will those people will go on and bless many many others. I love it. It's like that domino effect and uh and so on behalf of Shane and myself and we are do sincerely apologize this we were supposed to do this a couple of weeks ago weren't able to do it a couple of weeks ago and now
            • 40:00 - 40:30 here we are but uh Shane sends his love as you saw on the video and his respect and and Ian your ministry into the life of the men and uh in the worship area as well has just been incredible. Again, I just I'm just speaking to Mish cuz I she's the one that I would see in here all the time. But Ian, you've been like the stealth bomber, I think, behind under the radar. You know those people that they don't draw a lot of attention to themselves, but they're they're in
            • 40:30 - 41:00 there doing things. And uh many again, our men have been strengthened, encouraged in the faith and blessed because of you. And I know that we've been blessed also in the area of the worship and your service in that area. Thank you so much for your faithfulness, your consistency. Like you've been here like is it 23? 22 years. 22 years. Like some of you aren't even 22 years
            • 41:00 - 41:30 old and you've been here 22 years. So for some it's their whole life journey in this church. They've known you here. But even though we are sad, we're we're excited that you're going to get on a holiday. You're going to go across and visit Beth and the kit, the boys, and it's going to be amazing. And uh and we're excited for that. But even though we're sad that you're going to be stepping out of our immediate world, the reality is you're just going on to your next phase and your next stage. And we're just believing that God will bless you with the fruit of your hands and the
            • 41:30 - 42:00 fruit of your work. Both of you, as I know that you've got dreams, you've mentioned a little. We've yet to see the fullness of that, but we're excited to see the fullness of that. And we just want to bless you and uh and thank you for everything um over these years. And uh you're doing really well. Like you're helping me. Like she's just doing I'm I'm not going to cry. Yeah. If one of us starts, the other one always goes, you see. So together we're holding each other up right now. But um but thank you. And so church, why don't you just
            • 42:00 - 42:30 extend your hands? Why don't you join with me and bless as well? If you've been touched by their lives, then pour it out. If you haven't yet had that opportunity, then understand and hear what I'm saying and choose to bless today. Father God, I thank you so much, Lord God, for this man and this woman of God. I thank you, Father. Lord, that in every day of their lives, Lord God, they have sought to s to serve you, to bless you, to live for you, to become like you, Lord God. We thank you, Father, that you've sewn them into this house,
            • 42:30 - 43:00 Lord God. That you brought them here, that we're a part of their journey, Lord God. And now, as we as this new season arises, Lord God, and we see it on the horizon, Lord God, we are actually excited, Lord God. We know that you are in it, even as you are in their arrival, Lord God, you are in, Lord God, this next season and you're taking them and they will arrive at a new place and do a new thing. And Lord God, we just speak blessing over them. We thank you, Lord, for the seeds that have been sown and the fruit that's been ripped in this
            • 43:00 - 43:30 house. But Lord, I pray, Father, that that they would receive the fruit of their ministry, their prayers, their lives, Lord God. Father, even more than they have already, Lord God, I pray that they would actually get double, Lord God, in their next season. Father God, I thank you so much for what you're doing in and through their lives. continue to speak to them, minister to them, lead and guide them, Father God, and bless them as they put their hand to your plow, Lord God, and to do what you've called them to do, Lord. Together, collectively, we bless them, Father God.
            • 43:30 - 44:00 I personally bless them, Father God. We exalt your name, Lord God, as it's been lifted up in their lives, Lord. We give you praise and we give you thanks in Jesus' wonderful name. And everyone shout it, amen. Amen. Now, we have a a small gift for you. Of course, Ian gets the chocolates. You get the flowers with the real gift. No, no, that's not. No, no, no. Don't don't go yet. First, I just want to give you an opportunity. Is there anything that you would like to say? She was put on the she's being put
            • 44:00 - 44:30 on the spot here. Is there anything that you would like to say? What a absolute wonderful life we get to have in God. Yeah, it is so special. And the reason that it is wonderful is because knowing him means that we can get to love really large. We get to forgive really large. We forget to we are able to repent really large. And we get to serve really large. We get to do it in all the extravagant ways that we
            • 44:30 - 45:00 can because God is wonderful. And as a result, we get to know you each other. And I get to know people like Pastor Georgie and Pastor Shane. That's all I will say cuz the tears are coming. Thank you. Yeah. But thank you. Thank you. We love you. That's it. Come
            • 45:00 - 45:30 on. Now we're going to continue our worship. How special church. As we continue to step into this time of worship, knowing that he's already here, can I invite you just to take a few seconds if you can close your eyes, if you feel comfortable, lift your
            • 45:30 - 46:00 hands and just focus on the goodness of our king. [Music] Psalm 27 says, "Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear. The war break out against me, even
            • 46:00 - 46:30 then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. So come Holy Spirit.
            • 46:30 - 47:00 [Music] To you all praise will rise. [Music] Worthy is the lamb seed on the throne.
            • 47:00 - 47:30 All praise will [Music] rise. Worthy is the lamb seated on the throne above. To you all gloryy, to you all honor, worthy is the lamb of God. To you all

            • 49:00 - 49:30 throne above. To you all blessing, to you all power, worthy is the lamb of God. To you all blessing, to you all power, seated on the throne above. King
            • 49:30 - 50:00 Jesus we stand in Lord. Oh holy one, King Jesus, here at your king. We give you all king Jesus. Your face we see so
            • 50:00 - 50:30 beautiful Jesus you stand alone. Be [Music] enthroned. Be [Music] enthroned. Being

            • 53:30 - 54:00 Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Come on, give him praise. Give him worship. Lift your
            • 54:00 - 54:30 voices. Hallelujah. Jesus, we love you. Jesus, we bless you this place. We exalt you, Lord, in this place. How wonderful. You know what an honor it is to be able to be a part of building God's throne. That as we lift our voice, as we lift our hearts, as we lift our hands, we actually build his throne in this place. We release him in this place. We
            • 54:30 - 55:00 exalt him and magnify him in this [Applause] place. What an incredible privilege and honor that we get to be a part of that. Who would ever think like I don't know about you, but I know me and if I was going to get people to build something holy, you know, sometimes I don't know if I'd choose me to do it. But God chooses me and he chooses you to build his throne in this place,
            • 55:00 - 55:30 to magnify him in this place, to exalt him. And not only do we get to enjoy it, not only do we get to see his throne built here, but all of heaven watches as the saints of God build his throne. Why don't we give him one more praise? Lift your voice. Lift your hands. Make it glorious. He deserves it. Our God is worthy, worthy, worthy,
            • 55:30 - 56:00 worthy, worthy. How wonderful are you, oh Lord. How wonderful. How wonderful. Well, now that you've built his throne here, why don't you just encourage a brother and sister, build his throne in their hearts. Give them a hug. Give them a high five. We're that kind of church. If you're new here, this is the kind of church we are. We're like that huggy, friendly, high fivey kind of [Music]
            • 56:00 - 56:30 church. Cuz I think it's wonderful to be able to do that. I know. I'm blessed every time someone comes and gives me a hug or a high five or a fist bump or a whatever it is or a side hug if it's one of the guys. You know me. You know us. This is how we do it, isn't it? It's like if you're somebody else's or you're not mine. Let's just put it that way. You're not mine. I'm like I'm not I'm not doing that. That's from my husband. Hello. But I would love to give you a hug, a
            • 56:30 - 57:00 side hug, a fist bump, a high five because I appreciate you. I love the brothers in this house. I love the sisters in this house. I love the older people and I love the younger people. I'm sliding into the older people category, so I better love them. But I think what's the other alternative? I I think I'm happy to slide into the older category. Anyone else happy to get a little older? Yeah, you may enjoy your age, but it's good to get a little older because it means you're around. It means you're going to
            • 57:00 - 57:30 be the blessing that you always wanted to be. Well, I'm not going to talk anymore, but we I'm excited. We have got with us, we're about to go to to to lean into the word, and I would encourage you to lean into the word because we have a very respected apostolic leader with us and a really special friend of the house, and that is Pastor Steve Kelly. and he and his wife Sharon have they have they built an incredible incredible multi-sight church over in Virginia or in Virginia Beach in Virginia state in
            • 57:30 - 58:00 the US called Wave Church and they've been doing that for like one year longer than us. They've been doing like 25 27 years and like that's not a small feat that they're there. They're faithful. They're consistent. They're growing. The people underneath them are growing and they're with them. God is doing a wonderful thing over there. And I want to encourage you to lean in. If you haven't had the opportunity to hear Pastor Steve
            • 58:00 - 58:30 preach before, you're going to be in for a treat. As Pastor Mick would always say, you're in for a treat. But you're going to be in for a treat. I want to You're going to receive gold from God today. So, as we now welcome him to the platform, why don't you stand and give him an incredible enjoy welcome, Pastor Steve Kelly. Come on, enjoy. How you
            • 58:30 - 59:00 doing? That is perfect. What's your name? Sorry, Nathan. You're a good man, Nathan. Give Nathan a hand. Come on. It is so good to be back down under. We flew in on Tuesday. My my wife would have been with us here today, except she got food poisoning in Sydney, which is a good lesson. Don't eat food in Sydney.
            • 59:00 - 59:30 The food in Melbourne has got to be better than what she just had. Let me just tell you right now. Good to be with you. I love your pastors. This is not the mutual admiration society. I love your pastors. I absolutely adore them. I I admire their longevity. I I love their love for life. I love their love for you. They are consumed with you. They exist to serve you and to build a great church. And I love people who've been in
            • 59:30 - 60:00 this thing for decades and decades. Give it up for your pastors. Come on. They're amazing people. the whole team. It's good to see Mick. Every time I come here, Mick is always here. Mick is like when you bought the building, Mick came with the building. Praise the Lord. You can be [Music] seated. Um the title of my message today uh is something I really was praying
            • 60:00 - 60:30 about. What would I share? And there's so many messages that as a pastor that you write and and you preach and um I was really praying and sometimes you have all these messages yelling at you, preach me, preach me. And you got to tell them be quiet. But I know for a fact God really put in my heart, the title of the message, the message I want to bring to you today is this. Listen to it carefully. Speak to your future self.
            • 60:30 - 61:00 You've got to learn how to speak to your future self self. Don't get stuck where you are. That's right. Amen. Your life is really a book. And that book is a series of chapters. And I just really felt like I was praying about what would I share with you as a church this morning. Don't get stuck in a chapter. Amen. Do not let a chapter define you.
            • 61:00 - 61:30 If right now things are hard, right now things are tough, right now things aren't looking all that good, this message is really for you. But I want to promise you, if life is good, can I tell you God is good and the future is bright and you don't want to get stuck in this good chapter and miss the great that God has for you in your future. Come on, somebody say amen. So, you got to learn how to speak to your future self. I want you to think
            • 61:30 - 62:00 about the Old Testament. Everything of the Old Testament, when you think about it, speaks of a new covenant. So even the Old Testament is speaking to a future, telling us about a Messiah that would come. Amen. So in that sense, I want you to think about how you and I, I believe, you know, in Genesis, I love how the Bible starts. In the beginning, God, that's a good start right there. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now, listen what it says.
            • 62:00 - 62:30 Now, the earth was dark. It was formless. It was void. There was chaos. Another translation says it was empty. Does that sound like some people's lives today? Dark, empty, void, chaos. Amen. And the Bible says, "And God and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters waiting for God to speak." Imagine if God just said what he saw.
            • 62:30 - 63:00 Well, what did he see? The earth was dark. So imagine if God just said what he saw. Sure is dark out there. There just would have been a whole lot more darkness. That's right. But the Bible says God spoke to the darkness and he said, "Let there be light." Amen. So if life right now for you is dark, empty, void, if there's chaos, can I just encourage you that you can speak to your future? Can you say amen? Matter of
            • 63:00 - 63:30 fact, listen to this verse. Revelation 13:8. It says, "All who dwell on the earth will worship him." And it says, "Whose names have not been written in the lamb in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world." So I want you to think about this. God in heaven had a conversation with Jesus the lamb. And he said before he created this world, there was already a
            • 63:30 - 64:00 predetermined plan that God was planning the future. And he said to his son, "Listen, we're going to create mankind. They're gonna mess it up. But they're gonna mess it up. Would you go and lay down your life? And the Bible says he was slain before God ever said, "Let there be light." So God in that sense, the Bible says he is alpha and he is omega. He is the beginning and he is the end. He is the author and he's the
            • 64:00 - 64:30 finisher of our faith. God always starts with the end in mind. Amen. Come on, think about that. So, if God is like that and we are made in the image and the likeness of God, we've got to learn how to speak to our future. Come on, somebody say, "Amen." So, God is visionary. He predoses things. He predestines places and people. Amen.
            • 64:30 - 65:00 Look at Romans 8 29. For those God forneew, he also predestined us to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Those he predestined, he also called, and those he called, he also justified, and those he justified, he also glorified. God had you and I in mind before he ever said,
            • 65:00 - 65:30 "Let there be light." Amen. Galatians 1:15, I love this. It says, "But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb, and has called me by his grace, was pleased." God set me apart. Look at this. From my mother's womb. Jeremiah verse one. Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Watch. Before I formed you in the womb,
            • 65:30 - 66:00 before your mom and dad had a plan to have you, God had the plan. Amen. Before I ever before you were a twinkle in your father's eye, before anything I it says before you were born, I set you apart. I anointed you as a prophet to the nations. Do you know the very first prophecy in the Bible is found in
            • 66:00 - 66:30 Genesis 3 verse 15. And here is God speaking to the future. And here is God speaking to the serpent, the devil. Because the devil deceived Eve into eating of the fruit in the garden. And Adam wasn't deceived. He knowingly took a hold of it and ate it. And God says now prophetic. Listen to this. I will, he's speaking to the devil, I will put to put enmity between you and the woman,
            • 66:30 - 67:00 between your offspring and hers, and he, that's her offspring, speaking of Jesus, he will crush your head, and you will and you will strike his heel. God declares to Satan, "My son will crush you." Come on, somebody. So, here's I want you to write this down. God is in your future waiting for you to catch up.
            • 67:00 - 67:30 Amen. God is in your future waiting for you to catch up. Before a day happened, I planned it. Before anything started, I had a plan for you. Amen. So, God is in your future waiting for you to catch up. Write this down. God created this world for you and I to fulfill our destiny. God created this whole world so that you
            • 67:30 - 68:00 and I can live out our God-given purpose here on earth. Amen. He is alpha and he is omega. One of my favorite Bible verses. I love this verse. You ready for this? Who's going through a bit of a bit of a challenging season right now? Can I see your hand? Praise the Lord. Okay, come on. Put your hand up if that's you. It's okay. I I got a scripture for you. Ready for this? The end of a matter is better than the beginning. Did you know the Bible says that? And sometimes you walk up to somebody and
            • 68:00 - 68:30 they look a bit down. They look a bit heavy. And you go, "Hey man, what's up?" And they start telling you what's up. They tell you what's the matter. But the Bible tells me the end of a matter is better than the beginning of the matter. So to my way of thinking, it doesn't matter what the matter is because I know the end of a matter will be better than the beginning of the matter. So you're just in the middle of the matter, but it doesn't matter what the matter is because the end of the matter will be better than the beginning of the matter. Come on, somebody. Amen. Amen. So don't
            • 68:30 - 69:00 get stuck in a chapter. Don't let that chapter define you. Somebody say, "Amen." Amen. I love this. It says in Genesis 2:19, "Now the Lord God have formed you out of the ground from all the wild animals and the birds in the sky." And look what the Bible says. And he God brought them all, all the wild animals to Adam to see what he would name them. And whatever name he called
            • 69:00 - 69:30 every living creature, that was its name. So God created us with his words. God created the world we live in with the words he spoke. We were made because God spoke us into being. Come on. And then God said, "Adam, I've created the world you live in with my words. And now, Adam, you are made in my image. You
            • 69:30 - 70:00 are made in my likeness. So now you are going to create the world you live in with your words. So, I've created all these animals, but I've given them no name because you are made in my image. So, if you're made in my image, you're going to speak to the future. Whatever you call every animal, that will be its name. And I'm amazed how culture and society wants to put names on us.
            • 70:00 - 70:30 Divorced, bankrupt, depressed, anxious. I want to tell you, you create the world you live in with your words. Make sure your words are taking you to where you want to go. Come on, somebody. I'm preaching better than you're listening. Come on, somebody. What's coming out of your mouth? You got to learn to speak to
            • 70:30 - 71:00 your future self. Don't get stuck in the chapter. Turn to the person next to you and say, "He's preaching better than we're listening." Come on. So, I got a few thoughts about this. Here's the first thought. You ready for this? If I'm reading all this, I understand the first thing. Words matter. Come on, somebody. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Words matter. I'll never get a job. I'll
            • 71:00 - 71:30 never buy a house. I'll never get out of debt. I'll never get well. I'll never lose weight. Why did you laugh so hard on that one? Am I looking a little bit overweight now? Okay, listen what Jesus said. John 6, the spirit gives life. The flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you, they are full of
            • 71:30 - 72:00 spirit and life. We have to make sure that our words are spirit words. We have to make sure our words are lifegiving words. I remember when I first got a job as youth pastor back in Sydney. I was in Penri, the riff. I was back in Penri and I was a youth pastor and they asked me to come on staff and work full-time for the church. And at the time, this is back in 1985. And at the time, I would had a
            • 72:00 - 72:30 really good paying job. And I worked for electronics company. I was an installer technician. I was well paid. Had a company car. And so the pastor asked me to become the youth pastor. And and I was earning in 1985 uh $415 a week after tax. That wasn't a bad salary back in 1985. and I just said yes to being the youth pastor without really thinking, I wonder what they'll pay me. Now, I was just newly married
            • 72:30 - 73:00 and we wanted to buy a house and we wanted to have kids. And so, I got my first pay. And I'll never forget it. I had a sudden urge to go into the toilet and open up my little pay packet. Back in those days, there was cash in an envelope and people used to write with a handwriting on the pay packet what you got paid. And I opened it up and to my shock it was $169 gross. And I looked at that and this is the honest truth. I went back
            • 73:00 - 73:30 into the pay accountants office of the church and I said, "I think I got the wrong person's pay." And they said, "No, that's it's your pay." I said, "Is it half a week's pay? Is there a how does the pay week start?" She goes, "That's your weekly salary." I went home to Sharon and she said, "Did you get paid?" I never asked the pastor, "Would he pay me?" I just said, "Yes." And so she, "Did you get paid today?" I said, "Yeah." She goes, "How much did you get?" I said, "
            • 73:30 - 74:00 $169." She cried. She goes, "We'll never buy a house." I said, "Buy a house, honey. You're working for the rest of your life. We're not having kids. We can't live on this. Our rent was $120 a week. There's no way. And I remember I was so mad at God and I said, "God, $169? Gross. That's really
            • 74:00 - 74:30 gross." And God said, "Steve," he called me that cuz that's my name. He said, "I am Jehovah Gyra and I will supply all your needs. according to my riches and my glory, not according to your salary. Stop looking to man. I am all sufficient. I will supply. So I learned something that day. I went
            • 74:30 - 75:00 I said to Sharon, we are not going to say we'll never buy a house. We are not going to say we'll never have a family. But you know what we did say? We choose not to have one. Now, why? Cuz my words are spirit words. My words are life words. If I say we'll never have it, I'm saying my finances are controlling my circumstances. But if I'm saying we choose not to have one now, that's putting me in charge of my decisions, but I'm still speaking to my
            • 75:00 - 75:30 future. I still believe God will provide. I believe God will open the door. Come on, somebody. We got to learn to speak to your future self. Second thing I want to say is I believe God's given us a prophetic voice. I'm not just talking about the church corporately. I'm talking about you. I'm talking about what's coming out of your mouth and what you will eat the fruit of your words. Come on. Come on. Somebody say amen. And God's like
            • 75:30 - 76:00 Abraham and Sarah. Did you know that their real names was Abram and Sarai? Did you know that? And God changed their names because that name change was teaching these people, you got to speak to your future. And listen to the word Abram. Abram meant an exalted father. But Abraham means father of a multitude. The name Sarai means princely. That's a
            • 76:00 - 76:30 good name, by the way, princely. But Sarah means queen of princes or mother of princes. So in the name change, they're no longer to say Abram. You're no longer to say Sarai. But every time because I'm changing a name because I'm declaring a future for you that is bigger than where you are. And what you have now is not big enough. So you got to change what's coming out of your mouth. So every time you call your husband, every time you call your wife,
            • 76:30 - 77:00 you're speaking to your future self, Abraham, father of many nations. Sarah, not just princely, but the mother of princes. Come on, somebody. You've got to speak to your future self. Amen. Genesis 17, look what the Bible says. God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai, your wife, you will no longer call her Sarai,
            • 77:00 - 77:30 but she will be Sarah." I love that. Don't you? Here's the I want you tell me about Joseph and Barnabas. God changed, you know, there's this guy in the Bible in Acts 4, his name was Joseph. But did you know the Bible changed his name? The disciples went, "No, we're not calling you Joe. We're calling you Barney. You and Barnabas." Because that word Barnabas means you are the you are such an encouraging person that God wants to give you a new identity that you are the
            • 77:30 - 78:00 son of encouragement. What about James and John? Think about them that I mean Peter got his name changed, didn't he? From Simon to Peter. Simon means reed, little weed, but Peter means rock. So now Jesus is going to give uh James and John, the sons of Zebedee, he's going to give them a new name. And he goes, "From now on, you will no longer be called the sons of Zebedee, but from now on, you shall be known as the sons of thunder."
            • 78:00 - 78:30 Could you imagine how they felt? Every time there was thunder, they went, "That's how Jesus sees us." We are powerful. Yeah. Can I just speak to you today to learn to speak to your future self? Don't just say what you see. Say what you're believing for. Declare your
            • 78:30 - 79:00 future. Come on, somebody. I love this here. It says, "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and the perfector of faith. For the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame. and he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. So the Bible says that we are to fix our eyes on Jesus. And the Bible says, "And Jesus, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross and despised its
            • 79:00 - 79:30 shame." How did Jesus go through the most painful death we heard about last week at Easter, didn't we? Because the joy that was set before him was you and I. was the salvation of mankind. And the Bible says we are to fix our eyes on Jesus. We are to set joy before us. Amen. Whatever you set in front of you is what you're going to behold. Whatever you're beholding is what you're
            • 79:30 - 80:00 becoming. Amen. Oh, come on. I'm preaching better than you're listening. I I love I don't know who it was, but somebody said they had these Bible verses. This that's their life verse. And you they were saying that there's a verse that they always think about and I I've got a life verse. This is it. Romans 8:28 and this is what I've set before me. It says, "And we know then in all things God works good for those who love him and those who've been called
            • 80:00 - 80:30 according to his purpose." What shall we say then in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Come down to verse 35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble, hardship, persecution, an election of whom the next prime minister is going to be or famine or nakedness or danger or sword. As it is written, for your sake we face death all day long. We
            • 80:30 - 81:00 are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded. Come on. I am persuaded that neither life nor death, nor principality nor power, nor demons nor angels, things present nor things in the past, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate
            • 81:00 - 81:30 me from the love of God. What are you saying about your future? Well, we're just in a sad and sorry marriage. It's our lot. I want to encourage you. You got to learn to speak to your future self. But he'll never change. You keep talking like that, they never will. She'll never change. Our kids are got us so depressed. I
            • 81:30 - 82:00 understand what it is for a parent to be broken and heartbroken over their children, but we've got to learn to speak to our future. We've got to learn to know that nothing can separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Come on. [Applause] So, I got a question for you. What is your heart overflowing with? Psalm 45:1. My heart is stirred by a noble
            • 82:00 - 82:30 thing. As I recite my verses for the king, my tongue is the pen of a ski skillful writer. So pe some people say that's the story of my life. Well, I hear it all the time. You go into a supermarket. I don't know about you, but I go into a supermarket and I always try to figure out which line is going to be the fastest. And I look at the shopping carts, what's in each shopping cart? and
            • 82:30 - 83:00 I calculate what is the shortest and the fastest line. But the story of my life, I always pick what I think will be the fastest, but it always ends up being the slowest. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Here's another thing. I find myself every time I go and get a shopping trolley that I always get the one but the wheels wonky and it won't go straight. And that's You ever said that's the story of my life. What's the
            • 83:00 - 83:30 story of your life? I want you to think about it for a minute because the Bible says here, "My heart is over is stirred with a noble thing." As I recite my verses for my king, for the king, my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer. I look at this Psalm 16:7. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
            • 83:30 - 84:00 Did you know when things get challenging, and they can and they will, your heart is going to give you instructions? Well, the psalmist here says, "My heart is stirred with a noble thing." I want to encourage you, don't wait for a night season to find out what's in your heart. Because if you wait for the nice season and you find out in your heart there's negativity, depression, anxiety, that will be the story of your life. You got
            • 84:00 - 84:30 to make sure you've got the right instructions in your heart before the night season. That's why David said, "Your word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against you." You've got to be really careful of what comes in your heart. The Bible says, "Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it determine the boundaries of your life." You can be in a great church like Enjoy Church. You can have the best pastors, and you do. I I honestly believe some of
            • 84:30 - 85:00 the finest pastors in the world, Shane and Georgie. I honestly mean it. I love them. and you're going to have the best team and you can be in this great church, but what's going on in your heart? Come on. Because the Bible says out of the heart, the mouth speaks. Come on. What's the story of your life? You got to pay attention to what's in your heart. You can't let negativity and depression and
            • 85:00 - 85:30 fear and anxiety get in your heart. Come on, somebody. You got to make sure your heart is stirred with a noble thing. You got to make sure that your tongue is the pen of a ready writer. You've got to know, set your eyes on Jesus who was gone before you and you've been made in the image and the likeness of God and you've got the power of life and death in your words. Come on, somebody. Here are some verses that I love.
            • 85:30 - 86:00 Proverbs 24:10. I had what one year that I called the year from hell. Anybody ever have a year from hell? I remember this year very well. It was like anything and everything that could go wrong did go wrong. And I remember I said, "God, what's going on?" I had some people say, "Man, you must have sin in your life that you haven't confessed." And I'm thinking, "Bless you with a brick. Why would you say that?" And you know, someone said to me, "Well,
            • 86:00 - 86:30 clearly, Steve, you've got way too much pride." I thought about that. I thought, "If I say no, I don't means I do." And if I say, "Yeah, that's right." Means I do. So, I looked at them. I said, "I have pride and I'm not proud of it." That's right. Some people are quick to judge. And I said, "God, what's going on?" Never before, never again has he ever done this. But he gave me a Bible verse and I didn't know what the verse was. He said, "Turn to Proverbs 24:10 and look at the
            • 86:30 - 87:00 verse he gave me. If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength?" I said, "God, that's all you got to say on the matter. That's your compassion." He said, "Steve, listen. It's revealing how small you are. If you are falling over and giving up, how small is your strength, Steve? You're bigger than this, Steve. You're better than this. Steve, get up. Don't give in
            • 87:00 - 87:30 to the circumstance. Speak to your future. Declare what I have for you. I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, to give you a future and a hope, not to harm you. I have made you the head and not the tail. Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Though you walk through the valley and the shadow of death, you will fear no evil. For you, oh Lord, are with me. Your rod and your stout, they cover me. You own the cattle on a thousand
            • 87:30 - 88:00 hills. Listen, I will not fear the arrow that comes by day or the terror that comes by night. My God is in me. My God is for me. He's gone ahead of me. He's behind me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Unspeak. Here's another verse. I love this verse. You ready for this one? Are you ready for this one? My tongue, the Bible says, is the pen of
            • 88:00 - 88:30 a ready writer. Look at this verse. Psalm 119. Lord, you are good and what you do is good. Yeah, teach me your decrees. So, I want to close out this message with just one simple thought. And this is what I began. You've got to speak to your future. And I want to show you some verses in the Bible where God taught a prophet to use words to turn death to
            • 88:30 - 89:00 life. And I want this to really resonate inside of you. You've got to learn to speak to your future self. Come with me to let's see here. Um matter of fact be before we even go there, let me let me talk to you about people who spoke to their future. Do you know that woman's son who died and she went before the prophet and her son's dead in the prophet's bed and the prophet meets the
            • 89:00 - 89:30 woman and says, "How are things?" And the woman said, "All is well." Her son was dead, but she's speaking to the future. Everything's good. Come on, somebody. Are you hearing me? And I love how the Bible says Abraham could face the fact that his body would as good as was as good as dead. Yet, he did not waver in unbelief. I want you to think about Gideon's men. They shouted
            • 89:30 - 90:00 for the sword of the Lord and of Gideon. What were they doing? They were speaking to their future self. They were going to take on the Midianites. Come on, somebody. I want you to think about Joshua's army. The Bible says they marched around Jericho seven times, but God told them, "Don't say a word." But on the seventh day, I want you to shout. And there are some things that only come down with a shout. And you've got to
            • 90:00 - 90:30 learn to speak to your future self. I want you to think about the woman with the issue of blood. And I want you to think about what she said. She tried doctors. She tried medicine. She tried everything. But she spoke to herself. And she said, "If I can just get near him, and if I can just touch the hem of his garment, I know I'll be healed." What was she doing? She was speaking.
            • 90:30 - 91:00 She was speaking. She was speaking to her future self. If I can just touch him, I know I'll be healed. There's a principle in the word of God that teaches you and I that we've got to speak to our future. What about the Sireh Phohician woman? She said, "Would you please come and heal my daughter?"
            • 91:00 - 91:30 And Jesus is not right for the dogs. You don't feed dogs crumbs. And she goes, "I don't care what you call me. I don't care what you say, but even the dogs get to eat the crumbs." Come on, somebody. Jesus is not right to throw away bread, cast bread before dogs. She goes, "Yes, master, that's true. Call me whatever you want, but I'll take a crumb if it means my daughter's going to get healed." Jesus marveled at her faith. What was
            • 91:30 - 92:00 she doing? She was speaking. Some of us get offended. Some of us get too offended so easily. You got to learn to speak to your future self. Think about David. He said, "Even though I walk through the valley in the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." Think about Joshua. He's fighting a battle and he needed some more daylight and the sun was going down. So what did he do? Ah well we'll just pick it up tomorrow. No.
            • 92:00 - 92:30 Do you know what? Do you know what Joshua did? Son, don't you move. [Music] Stand still. We're not done fighting yet. We're not coming back tomorrow. We're finishing this battle today. Come on. Come with me down. I'm going to land the plane. I asked the s the sound team to
            • 92:30 - 93:00 help me with this as a as an sound effect to help make this come alive to you. This is God talking to the prophet Ezekiel. And he says to Ezekiel, he sees this valley of dry bones and he's having a conversation with Ezekiel. What is it that looks dry in your life? Them bones. Them bones. Them dry bones. What is it that looks lost? What
            • 93:00 - 93:30 is it that looks unreoverable? God is teaching Ezekiel something and he's still teaching you and I today something. I want you to watch this. Come with me. The hand of the Lord was upon me and he brought me out by the spirit of the Lord and he set me in the middle of a valley and it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them and I saw a great
            • 93:30 - 94:00 many bones on the floor of the valley. Bones that weren't just dry, very very dry. And he asked me, "What?" Son of man, can these bones live? What was he doing? He wanted Ezekiel to speak to the future. And listen to Ezekiel. Watch this. And then he said to me, and I
            • 94:00 - 94:30 said, "Oh, sovereign Lord, only you know." But then he said to me, "Prophesy. [Music] Prophesy to these bones. Say to the bones, "Hear the word of the Lord." And this is what the sovereign Lord says to these bones. I will make breath enter into you, and you will come to life. And I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover your skin. I will put
            • 94:30 - 95:00 breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. So I, so I, Ezekiel, prophesy, as I was commanded, and as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. And I looked at
            • 95:00 - 95:30 the tendons and the flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. There's an army, but there's no breath. The the bones came together. So then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath. Prophesy, son of man, and say to it, this is what the sovereign Lord says. come from the four
            • 95:30 - 96:00 winds and breathe into these slain that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me and breath entered them and they came to life and they stood up on their feet an exceeding vast army. Are you catching this? You got to speak. You got to speak to your future
            • 96:00 - 96:30 self. Come on. Don't say what you see. Dark, empty, void, chaos. No. Let there be light. Oh, the economy. What's going on? the global crisis, the tariffs. Oh God, if this person gets elected rather than this person, Australia is doomed. Can I tell you something? God is not a liberal
            • 96:30 - 97:00 and God is not a Democrat. Amen. Labor, that's the right word. God's not even Australian. Come on. He's the God of all nations. He is the King of Kings and he is the Lord of Lords. He's not going, "Oh no, my plans are ruined. They voted for the wrong person."
            • 97:00 - 97:30 Is that message speaking to anyone today? I really was praying about what would I share? And I just believe I I just believe God sent me here to tell you, speak to your future self. Come on, fix your eyes on Jesus. Come on, somebody here, you will buy a house. Somebody here, God's speaking to me right now, you will have a ch, you will have a baby. Married couple believing
            • 97:30 - 98:00 God. And in the natural, you're told it's impossible. And I believe today, I'm prophesying, hear the word of the Lord, these bones can live in Jesus name. Somebody here, your business is in all sorts of challenges. And I want to tell you, listen, don't don't put your faith in the economy. Don't put your faith in man. Put your faith in God. For I am persuaded that neither height nor depth, nor angel, nor demon, nor principality, nor power, nor things present, nor things come, nothing can
            • 98:00 - 98:30 separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. Amen. There's a concerned parent right now about your child, your young person that's making wrong choices. I want to say to you, keep praying for them. God's not done. Amen. Don't speak just get me out of this. Speak what he said. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Can I pray for you this morning?
            • 98:30 - 99:00 If that message spoke to you, I'm talking to you, the church Christians. If that message spoke to you about where you're at today, you really felt like the Holy Spirit encouraged you, I want everyone just for a moment, close your eyes. If that was for you, I want you to lift your hand. Say, "I heard the word of the Lord today. I heard the word of the Lord." Father, you see every hand that's raised. So many, so many beautiful people. Help them, Lord. Let this word go in deep into their hearts. Lord, in Jesus name, let them walk out

I'm not going to ask you to come to the front. I'm not going to ask you to stand up. I'm just going to ask you, will you seated? If you say, "Steve, pray for me. Steve, I want to give my life to Jesus. I want to get right with God. I need to come back to God." Who's believing with me? People are going to meet Jesus right here and right now. • 101:30 - 102:00 many messages and scriptures and words from God in it, but it's all about the timing. It's all about the timing. And I believe that that was a word in season for us as a church. I honestly do, Pastor Steve. I think that's just an incredible word for us in this season as we're in this year of devoted that God is wanting us to understand and to draw close and to do what he's calling us to do. And I love that because that's exactly what it is. God is with us. Yes, we know God is with us every step of the way. But he's omnipresent and he's in our future. He's in your future right now, calling you forward, asking you to do something maybe you've never done before. Maybe saying something you've never said before. And God is calling
            • 102:30 - 103:00 you in because he has stuff for you there. He has promise for you there. He has destiny for you there. He has lives for you to bless and influence there.
