Antigravity App adds cloud agents

By OpenTools Team · November 6, 2026

Remote Control keeps work on an awake host.

A gradual rollout

Antigravity App 2.29.0 began a gradual Remote Agents rollout on November 3, for personal Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. The current documentation distinguishes cloud execution from controlling an existing host.

Find the executing machine

Remote Control operates your own workstation or server, with that host’s files, toolchain and worktrees. The executing host must stay powered on and online. An interactive CLI tunnel ends when its CLI session exits; headless‑service persistence varies by operating system and login.

If your uncommitted checkout is on a workstation, viewing its session from a phone does not move the work off that machine. Keep that workstation awake. If execution is on an always‑on server, closing the viewing laptop is a different event: that laptop is not the host. This distinction follows from the documented execution model.

Verify the project before the prompt

Remote Agents use attached repositories, Drive files or uploads, not your local directory. Remote CLI conversations cannot resume local ones.

Consider restarting a local task in a named cloud project. If that project is missing, the CLI warns and opens its default project. A running session therefore does not prove the intended workspace opened. Confirm the selected project and attached file version before submitting the task; a successful launch and the current directory’s name do not establish either.

Local MCP servers, plugins and skills are unavailable there. Permission rules are separate, with turbo as the default unless changed. Resolve the workspace mismatch before letting this new conversation act. This is an inference, not a migration we tested.
