Kiro’s split defaults

By OpenTools Team

CLI migration depends on how sessions start.

Defaults

Kiro’s November 3 CLI 3.0.0 release defaults supported interactive sessions to V3; existing V2 users are asked first. Headless scripts with --trust‑all‑tools default to V3; other scripts remain on V2.1

Retirements

New ACP clients default to V3; existing clients remain on V2 unless already supported. Retirement covers the CLI desktop package, Classic and inline autocomplete—not the whole Kiro IDE. Inline autocomplete has no standalone replacement.1
