The pilot gives the companies a prior working relationship and a specific reported freight movement. It is not the same event as delivering the future 75‑truck fleet or beginning service on the Dallas routes. The mileage is the company’s account of that pilot, not an OpenTools driving test, a safety comparison or evidence that every proposed lane has received the same authorization.

The IKEA timeline should not become a DTL launch date

Kodiak separately says it plans to launch driverless highway service by the end of 2026 carrying IKEA goods on Interstate 45 between Dallas and Houston. That is a different customer and route. The year‑end goal should not be transferred to DTL as though it were a stated delivery deadline for its agreement.

Kodiak’s forward‑looking statement identifies risks including technology flaws, supply and third‑party component constraints, retrofitting, changes to contracts and delays with partners.
