Tabular foundation models for structured data

Prior Labs is an AI company focused on structured and tabular data. Its flagship model family is TabPFN, a tabular foundation model designed to make predictions from tables without the usual long tuning and training loops. The company describes its mission as building multimodal tabular foundation models that understand tables natively and can reason across structured data. The company’s website states that TabPFN-2.5 handles classification and regression across thousands of use cases, scales to 50,000 data points and 2,000 features, and returns predictions in one forward pass. Prior Labs also says it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by SAP, with intended investment above €1B over four years. For OpenTools users, Prior Labs matters because it is pushing foundation-model workflows into the tabular data stack: notebooks, production pipelines, on-prem deployments, private clouds, and hosted APIs.
