What this utility preserves

Pages are copied into a new PDF in the order you choose. The utility does not rasterize the pages, run OCR, compress images, edit page content, or remove passwords.

Bookmarks, forms, document-level attachments, signatures, and some document metadata may not survive page copying. Digitally signed documents should not be reorganized because changing page order invalidates the signed document.

Frequently asked questions

Does OpenTools upload my PDFs?

No. Reading, page copying, reordering, removal, and download happen in your browser. Functional analytics contain only coarse file, page, and size buckets—never filenames, document text, PDF bytes, or page contents.

Can I merge several PDFs?

Yes. Choose up to eight PDFs. Their pages begin in file order, and you can move individual pages before creating one result.

Does it show page previews?

This release shows document and page numbers rather than rendering document contents. That keeps the bundle and browser-memory cost bounded. Use the labels to set order, then inspect the downloaded PDF.

Can it unlock or repair a PDF?

No. Password-protected, encrypted, damaged, and zero-page PDFs are rejected. The utility never asks for or stores a document password.
