- 00:00 - 00:30 I am very uh interested in literature'ses. Uh I studied uh you know Russian language and literature in Tan University. I got the first rank in the university and trans exam in master's degree and I also worked in a you know uh transportation um company as a you know English I'm sorry Russian translator and uh right now I um you know um teach in different kind of sites for English
- 00:30 - 01:00 language and I am really thrilled to be here with you guys and you know talk about um stuffs that can you know um build a knowledge and awareness in our community in our society and uh let's go for um you know the first part you know saying some kind of welcoming and uh saying good morning or afternoon wherever you are I think we are all from different kind of different countries and uh welcome to our project kickoff for you know reducing elder abuse and
- 01:00 - 01:30 you know financial fraud through awareness and education and as I told you for my name is Zah. No need to just um you know introduce myself more. I'm represent representing the Canadian Helpers Society. You know before we dive into this program I think um it's um better to just get um you know familiar to this um you know comp this you know organization. I'd like to tell you a bit
- 01:30 - 02:00 about who we are actually the Canadian Helper Society or um abbreviated form would be TCHS. Yeah, as we sometimes call it. So, um it was it's established in uh 2020 and with a clear mission and that mission is to enhance uh the well-being of well vulnerable population in our community with particular focus on women um newcomers, seniors and who
- 02:00 - 02:30 face you know various kind of you know challenges in their lives. As you all know these you know people are the most vulnerable uh population in our in every community in every society. Today marks the beginning of an important journey together um one where we'll build knowledge you know um share experiences create a stronger support uh you know network for seniors uh in the waterlue region. This project running from
- 02:30 - 03:00 October 2024 through June 2025 represents our continued commitment to uh you know protecting vulnerable seniors from exploitation and abuse every kind of you know fraud or abuse that may happen to them. Uh let's go for one you know background on elder abuse and you know program need you know um let's talk about the reality of elder abuse. What is that you know what we
- 03:00 - 03:30 call elder abuse and um what you know kind of forms it can get in society. Um as we all know uh you know elder abuse is not always visible is not always noticeable. It can you know take various forms. So let's you know get more familiar with this kind of concept. First of all, let me start by you know sharing why we're all here today in our community community. Too many seniors face isolation and
- 03:30 - 04:00 vulnerability that puts them at risk. Yeah, elder abuse isn't always visible. As I told you, uh it can take many forms like you know physical abuse unfortunately that causes bodily harm, emotional abuse that you know damages self-worth of you know seniors. Sexual abuse uh that violates you know dignity of people and financial exploitation that you know threatens security and independence and
- 04:00 - 04:30 unfortunately we you know face these kind of you know abuse every day. maybe uh all over the world. So um we need to be aware of this. Uh what's particularly troubling is that uh according to recent uh studies um approximately 1 in 10 um older you know adults experience some form of abuse and uh only one in 24 cases is actually reported to
- 04:30 - 05:00 authorities and um I think that's a very you know bad situation because one in 24 is too much to be reported It's a very you know less than something is happening. And the next one is financial exploitation um is the fastest growing form of elder abuse. Um as we are working you know we are living in a world of you know net you know internet and you know this kind of stuff we kind
- 05:00 - 05:30 of you know could expect something like that to just exp you know have some internet exploitation and you know stuff like that. uh isolation has been you know identified as a number one risk factor for elder abuse as we all know I think it's somehow something uh you know psychological as we get isolated more we can you know um be abused more I think you know um being connected to each other is the key and is the way and
- 05:30 - 06:00 let's go for the evolution of financial scams as I think you all are aware of this. We've got you know different kind of scams uh internet scams that I will you know name some of them and after that we're going to talk about them you know briefly because so we want to talk about other things maybe we cannot have enough time. Uh the first one is phone scams, digital fraud, investment fraud and identity theft, pandemic related you
- 06:00 - 06:30 know scams that after corona virus after pandemic they have just you know um increased a lot. So let's go for the first one which is phone scams. These include the grandparent uh scam. I think somehow it's you know logical um when we when it comes to you know grandparent uh scam because all the grandparents are really truly in love with their grandchildren. So you know this is one
- 06:30 - 07:00 way to just you know um go for scamming them. It's a very you know um vital way to just abuse them. So it's um let's see what what that is. This includes the grandparents a scam where someone calls pretending to be the grandchild in trouble or even the government impersonation for example scams like cla claiming to be the CRA or service Canada or somehow to be the tech support um
- 07:00 - 07:30 scams offering to fix computer uh problems and stuff like that. Also the next one is digital fraud. Let's see what that is. Uh, as more seniors go online, uh, we're seeing increased fishing attempts via email, fake um, websites that look legitimate but still information and social media scams that exploit, you know, trust. Next one is investment fraud. You know, uh, everyone needs to, you know, likes to have some
- 07:30 - 08:00 kind of investment and maybe that is one another way to just uh, go for abusing. Uh these include Ponzi schemes from the Ponzi Italian you know um investor who just you know invested you know uh have um how can I say have this kind of you know schemes in the world. It's Ponzi is the name of that Italian uh you know schemer somehow. Uh they include Ponzi schemers, fake
- 08:00 - 08:30 investments opportunities and bogus real estate um you know deals that promise um unrealistic returns. And um uh next one is identity theft. Uh that criminals gather personal uh you know information through data um breaches, mail theft or dumpster diving to open you know accounts in seniors name or access existing you know accounts. Next one is pandemic related
- 08:30 - 09:00 you know scams. Since covid um as you all know everything has changed the world has changed and I think you know uh ways of abusing uh you know elderly people um has changed also after corona virus so since covid we've seen new scams related to vaccines testings financial relief programs and charity donations because people are you know uh more likely to um you know help um other
- 09:00 - 09:30 people mostly you know elderly people they like to help other people you know um work in charity you know donations so it can be one another way to just abuse them. What makes these scams particularly effective is that you know they uh often create a sense of urgency or fear as the first one we talked about for example we they just impersonate themselves as the grandchildren of uh the grandparents. Yeah, they try to make
- 09:30 - 10:00 some kind of you know feeling of urgent and you know urgency or fear. Um and next one is appeal to desire helping others. We all like to help others. So uh it can be a way to uh abuse us all. Exploit trust and politeness and target those who may be experiencing cognitive decline. Unfortunately, these people are more vulnerable as it's you know um obvious and leverage current events uh
- 10:00 - 10:30 and concerns. These are the uh effective uh you know um things that you know are likely to just be considering in this kind of you know abuse. And let's go for um our program uh structure and workshop series. Our comprehensive approach and I just want to explain how our appro approach is. This program takes a
- 10:30 - 11:00 holistic approach and addressing elder abuse and financial fraud. We believe that uh you know true empowerment comes from you know knowledge building the first of all practical skills and community connection and personal empowerment let's see you know let's talk about them all um you know knowledge building is about understanding the forms of abuse and how to recognize them the first step uh practical skills is about learning
- 11:00 - 11:30 concrete strategies of protection is you know somehow the solution and community connection is about developing support networks and knowing where to find help. Yeah, it's you know network relationships. So it can um be helpful to us to uh you know have some kind of um um relationships to find help and personal empowerment. Uh building
- 11:30 - 12:00 confidence to act when faced with you know uh concerning situation. As you all know um confidence is somehow the key is very important when we want to you know uh face with um abusers uh with people who are trying to uh you know abuse us. You know having confidence is very important. It's a very important part. So we have to try to build that. It's not something it's something to gain. Yeah. It's not something you know from
- 12:00 - 12:30 the first step. So we can work on it. Our workshops are designed to be interactive, practical, representative to your needs. Okay. We'll use a combination of, you know, uh expert presentations, uh group discussions also, you know, roleplaying exercises, hands-on demonstrations, and take-home resources and, you know, peer learning opportunities. And uh let's go for workshop series
- 12:30 - 13:00 overview. Now I it's the time for that. Let me guide you through our planned sessions. We've got some you know planned sessions with you know um exact time and date. So I can um talk about that and tell you uh what is going to happen in our you know uh uh income you know coming sessions. The first one is understanding elder abuse. uh uh it's November, you know, 2024. We'll explore different types of elder abuse in depth.
- 13:00 - 13:30 Learn to identify, you know, warning signs that might otherwise be missed. You know, the signs are very important. Understand the patterns that abusive relation uh maybe missin internet got problem. Uh
- 13:30 - 14:00 absolutely she's going to come back. Just wait for a minute and then if not I I will continue. But she's going to come back in a minute. Her internet it looks is not very stable. Where's where? I can't hear him.
- 14:00 - 14:30 Okay, it seems she
- 14:30 - 15:00 uh for now she was not able to
- 15:00 - 15:30 uh come back. Uh anybody uh which uh part she was explaining which uh can you explain
- 15:30 - 16:00 somebody? I believe she she uh talked about COVID vaccine. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. She's here. Oh, is she coming? She's coming. She's she's connected disconnected that part.
- 16:00 - 16:30 I'm here. Yeah, I believe uh again she's not able to uh come back anyway. Um so I'm going to continue uh then if she come back then she will uh uh she will continue
- 16:30 - 17:00 um okay so uh about the programs uh this workshop series will equip you with the knowledge and tools to stay safe. Our approaches is built on h in uh four uh in four uh pillars. Knowledge building, practical skills, uh community
- 17:00 - 17:30 connection and personal empowerment. Uh knowledge app building means we uh during this program everybody going to learn uh when we are talking about uh abuse what does it mean? What does it mean abuse? Uh practical skills strategic to protect yourself how you can protect yourself and and building
- 17:30 - 18:00 support networks. Uh then this is very wide actually building support networks including uh the friends will be uh have network together and also we will introduce uh the sources. If uh you got any problem then you can uh talk you can uh uh communicate with those sources and
- 18:00 - 18:30 personal empowerment confidence to take action. Uh if you remember last year we had something like physical how you can defense yourself. Uh and this year maybe we are going to have more stuff like that. Okay, I believe again she's here. Hopefully. Hello,
- 18:30 - 19:00 Mi. Hello. I'm so sorry for, you know, inconvenience and disconnection. I'm so sorry. I tried, you know, another device. I think my laptop ran out of work. I'm really sorry. Uh, so you all can hear me now? Yes. Yeah. I cannot hear you. Yes. Yes, we're here. Okay. So, I'm so sorry again and let's you know press it. Um we're talking about you know understanding elder
- 19:00 - 19:30 abuse. Yeah. The first session that is uh programmed in uh November 2024. We'll explore different types of elder abuse in depth and learn to identify warning signs uh you know that might otherwise be missed. understanding the patterns that abusive relationships often follow and discuss the psychological impact of you know abuse on seniors on their you know confidence on their dignity and stuff like that and next one is
- 19:30 - 20:00 financial scams targeting seniors on November 2024 it's about detailed examination of common scams with real world examples analysis of why these scams 's work and their psychological tactics and practice identifying red flags in various scenar scenarios and introduction to reporting mechanism and fraud recovery steps. Next
- 20:00 - 20:30 one is digital safety and security and December 2024 practical guidance on safe internet use and password management um you know management techniques and tools uh securing personal information online and hands-on practice recognizing fishing attempts and demonstration of security tools you can use at home. And next one is physical self-defense for uh seniors
- 20:30 - 21:00 and December 2024. Adapted uh self-defense techniques for various mobility levels. Simple, effective movements to create distance from uh you know um threats using everyday objects for protection and effective ways to call for help and escape strategies and situational awareness training. And the next one is
- 21:00 - 21:30 financial planning and management uh on January 2025. Uh it's about strategies for maintaining uh financial independence you know budgeting techniques tailored uh for fixed incomes and managing in investments safely and uh protecting assets uh from exploitation and planning for future carries and expenses. Yeah.
- 21:30 - 22:00 And the next one is about community resources and support on January 2025. Uh introduction to local organization services serving seniors serving seniors. Overview of available uh supports services in Waterlue region and how to access help when needed. building your personal resource resource directory and the next one is mental
- 22:00 - 22:30 health and financial stress uh February 2025 understanding the psychological impact uh you know of financial exploitation uh recognizing signs of financial anxiety and coping mechanism and mental wellness strate strategies and uh building resilience through community connections. Um, as I told you, I think you know, communities are very
- 22:30 - 23:00 important. So, and we're going to focus on that more. recognizing digital fraud on February um 2025 and it's about advanced workshop on sophisticated uh online uh fraud techniques um hands-on practice with real world uh experiences and examples and a case studies of recent fraud incidents and developing a
- 23:00 - 23:30 personal digital safety plan And the next one is training the trainer. It's a workshop on March I'm sorry March 2025 and it's about teaching methods for sharing knowledge with others and also um uh communication strate strategies for raising awareness and developing simple presentations u to use in our community. And also the last one is
- 23:30 - 24:00 about building confidence as a peer educator. And next one is peer support uh strategies on April May 2025 and it's about u collaborative sessions to develop support approaches and techniques for helping others um who may be at risk. uh creating support and circles in our neighborhoods and uh
- 24:00 - 24:30 sustainable ways to maintain connections. And the last one on June 2025 is a program celebration and community action which is about acknowledging participant achievement and sharing success um stories and lessons learned. uh planning ongoing uh you know community engagements and also celebrating our collective impact. Um um
- 24:30 - 25:00 and you know um the important part to just mention is that each each session builds um on previous ones. Okay, they are somehow related to previous sessions and um but um they're also designed to stand alone. Okay, so if you miss one session, it's no worry. there's no um need to be worried. You can still benefit from you know attending other sessions. Yeah. Uh this is one another
- 25:00 - 25:30 thing to mention also uh we are going to post all of these uh sessions in YouTube and also our website our social media. Uh then people usually after that coming and watching or uh so they are they they can again uh come back and uh watch our program. Yes. And you know there is still a chance of re-watching. Yeah. Very good.
- 25:30 - 26:00 Yeah. We can you know you can um see and rewatch the sessions on YouTube and other channels as Mr. % and um let's go for implementation approach and uh you know logistics uh sessions uh you know formats it's very important to know um the ways you know the formats of uh the sessions how they are going to work and
- 26:00 - 26:30 which you know kind of applications we are going to uh you know have these sessions and um it's a very important thing I think to mention uh And as you know accessibility totally uh session format and accessibility all sessions uh will be held via zoom uh making them accessible for uh from the comfort of your home um easily after corona virus. Uh it's a good point that you know most of the you know um um seminars or
- 26:30 - 27:00 webinars are held online and um you know it makes us makes it accessible for all people all around the world in every occasion they are so they can use this kind of you know um um how can I say information and benefit from this kind of you know um programs and um so it will be held via Zoom And um it's accessible if you have internet
- 27:00 - 27:30 connection. And for those who aren't familiar with Zoom, uh we will provide a pre-program tutorial uh session on you know using um Zoom effectively and step-by-step guides for joining uh you know meetings because you know some elder people are not able to use uh you know different kind of programs and different kind of you know um internet um you know um materials. So uh maybe it's it's somehow hard for them to use
- 27:30 - 28:00 this kind of um webinars. So um because of that we just try to have kind of a step-by-step guide um for joining meetings and technical support before and during sessions and a recording options for reviewing content later. As um um Mister said uh you know um these um sessions are all recorded so you can use them later if you want
- 28:00 - 28:30 to and uh also each session will follow a consistent format. I think for a successful um program uh we need to have kind of you know um schedule. Yeah. uh to just have um schedule what to do uh the first part of the program and what to do next and uh how to hold these kind of programs effectively. So because of that um we are um going to tell you the
- 28:30 - 29:00 format right now because it is scheduled before and it's consistent. Uh the first part would be welcome and check in. Uh because you know as you know um online sessions may need to be uh you know to wait to be somehow uh patient because um you know as you were patient now I'm going to thank you once more and because you know sometimes it may get you know disconnected or maybe we can we can have problems. So um there will be a time
- 29:00 - 29:30 time for checking in uh waiting for others and stuff like that and a review of um previous um you know contents and concepts um the previous sessions what we said what we talked about for people who weren't there for people who couldn't you know um take part in those sessions so I think there would be a you know review of that and next One would be a new content
- 29:30 - 30:00 presentation for for example maybe 30 minutes I think new content will be presented to uh people and um this is going to be completely the complete new part of the program and the next one is interactive activities and discussion. Yeah. Um we all know that after one mostly uh how can I say um controversial uh you know um subjects
- 30:00 - 30:30 such as you know abuse and this kind of stuff. Um people need to talk with each other. Yeah. Talk and share their ideas. So there would be a time you know um dedicated um to this you know interactive activities and sharing thoughts and ideas. and also one part um for questions and answers because mostly some people who um aren't um you know um aware of those new information may have you know some kind of questions. So
- 30:30 - 31:00 there will be a time for them to um feel relaxed and and to um be um easy for asking the questions and you know um everyone um who thinks that is able to answer and uh we can answer to their questions and the next part would be a preview of a next session and take home resources. We're going to you know have a preview of next session and talk about what
- 31:00 - 31:30 we're going to talk and um so uh we will get a familiar for you know upcoming uh programs. So um this will be dedicated this time will be dedicated to this subject and um sessions will include visual presentations, wearable explanations and interactive um uh components to uh accommodate different you know learning styles. As we all know
- 31:30 - 32:00 um people are people are very different you know in uh we've got different uh you know learning styles uh some people are you know able to um you know for example some people are um you know easy more are easier to see something okay and learn that and some people are you know able to uh read something and learn that and some people hear something and learn that. So we will you know make a
- 32:00 - 32:30 situation for you know um everybody to be able to you know get this knowledge and you know get informed to be informed uh for those with hearing or vision challenges we can uh provide large print materials uh sent in advance before I mean and u closed captioning during zoom sessions I think there's an option for that and audio
- 32:30 - 33:00 recordings of key information and also followup you know uh calls to ensure understanding if needed. Okay, these are you know for some you know situations that are exceptional. So maybe these kind of things may be needed and the registration and participation details is to complete the registration form provided and indicate any accessibility needs um or special
- 33:00 - 33:30 consideration. um provide your preferred uh you know contact information if needed and select any specific topics or particular interest um again if needed and uh I think we people who are you know participating in this session we all have we had that access to this session we knew the you know ID we knew the passcode so um there will be no need to just you know um reinform you about
- 33:30 - 34:00 that and program materials is about digital resources uh that they will be emailed before sessions if needed. Print materials can be mailed also if needed uh for people who prefer them and resource binders will be provided to compile materials and additional resources available upon uh you know request and also uh let's go for uh
- 34:00 - 34:30 participation expectations. Um we uh expect you to attend as many sessions as possible and it's it's such an honor for us to just uh host you through these you know sessions. We can talk with each other and share ideas. So why not please attend as many as possible and notify us if you're unable to attend and participate in discussions as you feel comfortable. We don't want
- 34:30 - 35:00 to um make you uncomfortable uh I'm sorry uncomfortable or uh feel make you feel you know stressed or you know um um sad or um make you feel some kind of anxiety but we will really appreciate that if you could you know um support us by you know giving feedbacks and you know having discussions through our sessions. Um so if you feel comfortable please uh you know um participate in you
- 35:00 - 35:30 know discussions and uh complete brief feedback surveys um can be also helpful after each session and respect the confidential confidentiality of other participants stories. Um I think it's very important because in here we are all gathering to uh share our thoughts, our experiences and to just you know build our knowledge and um awareness um about this you know special and specific
- 35:30 - 36:00 subject. So when we talk about our uh experiences that were very um bitter and very sad sometimes we may just want to talk about it here and we don't want these information to leak out of this session. So you know respecting the confidentiality would be a very important part of these sessions and I would be thankful if you could respect this and um let's you know um go for
- 36:00 - 36:30 interactive activity and personal safety assessment. Um today I just wanted to know that if there is something to just talk about um you can talk about it also. uh we are open to all your um you know um ideas and thoughts and would be really happy about that. Um before session we talked about some kind of forms but um that's not you know
- 36:30 - 37:00 needed and that's not important at all. So we will go for the next part and uh the next part is questioning and answering and open discussions. I want to ensure um after all of these things that I just um you know um um explained the way we are going to hold the sessions what are our aims and goals in these sessions. I want to know that I want to make sure that you have no questions you know leaving this
- 37:00 - 37:30 session today. If you have any question um I want to ensure you leave today with all your questions answered and let's open the floor for any questions about the program structure or content you can ask you know questions about this stuff logistic and participations resources available to you and any concerns you might have is there any question I'm all ears to hear your ideas
- 37:30 - 38:00 or questions. I think everything is clear crystal clear. Yeah. uh just please everybody uh from next session to be here 9:25 because uh sometimes uh uh it there is the technical difficulty so don't be
- 38:00 - 38:30 here just 9:30 9:25 and also maybe again gone no uh this year. Yeah. But the good news is that uh uh already she went through all the materials needed to be uh explained. But anyway, I'm here. Anybody
- 38:30 - 39:00 have a question, please go ahead and ask me the question. Go ahead. No question. Uh how many seasons are there? 10. I'm assuming we going to have totally 10 season and 10 session and this was actually the first one. This was the first one and actually the
- 39:00 - 39:30 uh materials we are going to uh to uh explain it is very very useful for in daily life. Uh because everybody these days have credit card and there are lots of fraud going on also safety issues. Day by day is more uh people concerned about that and uh many more.
- 39:30 - 40:00 We are going to cover all of them. Yeah. Totally nine session after. Thank you very much. Welcome any question? Yeah. And uh most likely uh we going to have Saturdays 9:30 to 10:30. Of course earlier we're going to let you know.
- 40:00 - 40:30 Um so please be here 9:25 and usually it will take 1 hour. Sometime maybe little more or little less but uh the the plan is one full hour of uh of uh session. Yes. Yes. Yes. Any question? Katherine. Katherine no
- 40:30 - 41:00 question. Nina. Nina, you you you know everything. You don't have to ask any question. Oh, Miss came back. I am so sorry again. Yeah. Um you have your internet today your internet is not helping that much. Yeah, unfortunately.
- 41:00 - 41:30 Yeah, I think my devices are also, you know, being playful because, you know, they're heating, overheating, and because of that, suddenly everything, you know, um, fades. I'm so sorry. You have to ask Canadian helpers to buy a new device for you. Oh, thank you. Thank you. If it's possible, I would appreciate that. Thank you. So um we were talking about you know different kind of questions and and nobody I think
- 41:30 - 42:00 as I'm aware had u no questions I think everything was crystal crystal clear for everyone so we will proceed this journey okay and um let's go for closing you know and you know next uh steps of this program h as we you know conclude today's session I want to thank uh you know each of you for taking this program um you know and um this um taking this important steps in you know protecting
- 42:00 - 42:30 yourselves and also maybe uh the elders around you because um maybe um for example I myself I'm not you know um senior right now I'm only 28 years old but I have of course excuse me I believe uh Sarin have a question yeah of course. Oh, Miss S. Mission. Yeah, go ahead, please. Hello. Good morning. Thank you
- 42:30 - 43:00 very much for all the explanations and all the information. I have a question actually. uh with all these services and subjects that are very very amazing and useful. Is there any um support provided for the seniors or elderly people in this um nonprofit? Uh actually this program is dedicated
- 43:00 - 43:30 for seniors. dedicated for seniors but the materials is good enough to other people also uh involved but uh this uh program totally is for seniors. I understand. But my question is for the seniors that we are talking with them about the like
- 43:30 - 44:00 financial protection and we in in inform them about the different kind of scams and abuse and these things. Is there any services that if they feel uncomfortable with something they come and ask for help? Like for example to check their account if a person now grandchild someone is um
- 44:00 - 44:30 doing something suspicious. So they get this information and now they get the support. Is there anything actually the Canadian helpers doesn't have that much uh feature that much to to go through you know that much uh in detail but uh we going to give them sources if they get a trouble with their credit card where they have to go where do they have
- 44:30 - 45:00 to what they have to ask where they they have to go but we as a nonprofit profit Canadian helpers. you know, we don't have that much uh stuff to help them and I think you know as you know a nonprofit is just um the you know um we are able to just inform them and show them how to get help from others and also the police or authorities and um you know we show them the different ways
- 45:00 - 45:30 of scams and you know um frauds and after that they can you know protect in order to protect themselves from these kind of scams. But um when they unfortunately god forbid you know fall in this kind of you know uh troubles they can you know get help from authorities and of course they they are much more able to help them in this kind of you know options in this kind of situations. Um thank you for asking your question. I hope it's answered. Is it answered? Kind of kind of kind of. Yeah.
- 45:30 - 46:00 Okay. Thank you. And anyone Thank you. anyone others any question I cannot see because you know some um applications have this kind of you know taking rising the hands I cannot see any hands arising here I hope I'm not you know missing any one of you someone is you are speaking Charisa I'm
- 46:00 - 46:30 sorry I think you are speaking but we cannot hear you uh yeah there is another question I don't know who asked how can we promote healthy communication and boundaries. Actually this isn't uh we are not specialist to answer this question. Uh we are going to have a psychologist and most likely uh most likely in two weeks and the
- 46:30 - 47:00 psychologist is going to answer all of these questions in detail. Of course um if I want to add something I'm sorry because you know after you I'm going to speak I'm sorry I'm just saying my own um ideas. Uh here what it was mentioned that you know um abusive um characteristics and abusive behaviors um as I just read in you know different kind of books um you know psychological
- 47:00 - 47:30 books they are very similar to each other. Okay. And I think when we just get familiar with this kind of you know um characteristic or features and you know behavior so we can um avoid them easily. For example, some people are um how can I say narcissistic people um mostly you know psychologists say that their behaviors are very similar to each other. So abusers can be in the same boat. I think abusers are the same. They
- 47:30 - 48:00 have you know similar characteristic and similar ways of abusing other people. So uh when knowing those uh you know uh behaviors we can avoid easily in this way because they are very similar to each other. Any other question? What resources are available for victims of abuse in our community? Um you want to speak?
- 48:00 - 48:30 We do not have your voice. Yeah. Again we actually we are not right person to answer these questions because uh like psychologist or the person for uh specialist for credit card fraud these people going to uh participate and they will be able to answer your question. We here the first um uh session just to
- 48:30 - 49:00 give the schedule that we going to we are going to have. Yes, these questions may be for next sessions. I I hope your questions will be answered you know because digital frauds and this kind of you know um problems u fortunately or unfort unfortunately are very sophisticated as I mentioned. Uh so uh we are not experts. We will have experts as guest to talk about this kind of matters and we want you to ask your questions from
- 49:00 - 49:30 those experts. So um you will get the right answer. We hope you get the right answer. I think we have only one minute. Am I right? It's going to be finished. Okay. I'm going to um you know say some other stuff if there's no question. Is there any question? I think not. Um okay. I want to thank each of you for taking this important step in protecting yourselves and others in community. Your
- 49:30 - 50:00 presence uh here's um you know here demonstrates your commitment to staying informed and connected and resilient. Uh before our next meeting, please uh you know um um tell us that uh you you can you know take part in our sessions that it will be very helpful and um you know um mark your dates in the calendars to not um miss the sessions. And uh you know try to you
- 50:00 - 50:30 know reach out to us if you have any other questions and uh consider inviting others who might you know uh benefit from this program. Uh try to do that if it's possible we will be very happy and the Canadian Helper Society believes that everyone deserves to live in with dignity security and peace of mind. Through this program, we hope to contribute to that vision for seniors in Waterlue region and I look forward to
- 50:30 - 51:00 our you know our journey together over the coming months and thank you for your attention and participation today. Thank you. Thank you everyone. Thank you everyone. Thank you very much session. Thank you. So the session we are going to finish. Nest.
