Start with your calendar accounts

A useful AI calendar must see the commitments that actually constrain your week. Motion lists Google Calendar, Outlook and iCloud integrations, including combining work and personal calendars. Reclaim lists Google and Outlook. If iCloud is essential, start your evaluation with Motion. If your work stays in Google or Microsoft calendars, both belong on the shortlist. Before committing, check the exact account type and what colleagues can see: connecting an account, sharing event details and making time appear unavailable are different needs.

Choose between a task plan and protected time

Motion describes scheduling work from deadlines, durations and priorities, then replanning when commitments change. Its project workspace can organize tasks, assignees and stages. That is a useful fit when a deliverable needs several pieces of work with clear owners. Reclaim emphasizes Focus Time, recurring Habits, Smart Meetings and Buffer Time, alongside Tasks. It is worth trying when your problem is a crowded calendar that leaves no room for routines or concentrated work. Neither feature list proves that an assistant will estimate your workload correctly; your own task durations still matter.

Know what the free plan can cover

Reclaim Lite is a continuing free option for one user. Its current plan card lists one Calendar Sync, one Scheduling Link, limited integrations and a one-week scheduling range, excluding Scheduling Links. Starter extends that range to eight weeks and Business to 12. Someone planning the next few workdays may be able to start with Lite; someone coordinating deadlines several weeks away should assess a paid plan. Motion advertises a free trial rather than a continuing free plan on its pricing page. Do not assume trial features will remain available afterward.

Compare the same billing and team size

Motion has separate individual and team pricing views. In the team view with annual billing, Pro AI shows $19 per seat/month and Business AI $29; these are annual-billing equivalents, not month-to-month individual prices. Reclaim Starter shows $12 per seat/month on monthly billing or $10 with annual billing; Business shows $18 monthly or $15 with annual billing. Prices were checked September 11, 2026. Select your actual number of seats, billing term and required integrations before comparing the total. Promotional banners are excluded from this comparison.

Trial one representative week

Use a test calendar with a moving meeting, a task due Friday that needs two hours, a recurring routine and a focus block. Move the meeting into the task slot and inspect where the unfinished work goes. Check whether the hard deadline remains visible, whether buffers survive and whether a teammate can understand the revised plan. For project work, add a second task that depends on the first and inspect how the plan represents that dependency. Record manual corrections before deciding. This is a suggested evaluation, not a report of hands-on performance testing. The Motion vs Reclaim comparison keeps the main plan differences together.
