Anvil separates its Core download from the app and connected options

The current iPhone listing separates local inference, network features and meeting‑note requirements.

Prepare the phone

Anvil’s November 1 maker announcement pitched an offline iPhone assistant. Its current US App Store listing distinguishes the 122.1MB app from an additional Anvil Core download of about 2.6GB. Core chat follows that download; image models need more storage.

General compatibility requires iOS 17 and A17 Pro or newer. Meeting transcription instead requires iOS 26, supported hardware and downloaded language assets; summaries need Apple Intelligence or Anvil Core.

Choose connected features

Optional Web Search sends your question off‑device. Optional iCloud backup stores content in your iCloud account. Downloads, purchases and chosen reports also use network services.

The developer’s Store privacy labels list possible linked contact information, user content, identifiers, usage and diagnostics, plus unlinked search history. Apple says these declarations are not verified.
