Lumen’s Microsoft plans extend beyond its existing Marketplace option

By OpenTools Team

Alkira is already available; the broader connectivity portfolio remains a planned expansion.

A named purchasing route

Lumen’s November 2 release identifies Alkira, a Lumen Connect solution, as available through Microsoft Marketplace. That is the established purchasing option in the announcement, rather than confirmation that the entire Lumen portfolio is already listed.

A wider planning conversation

Lumen intends to bring its broader cloud‑networking and application‑connectivity capabilities to Azure. The companies also intend to expand joint account planning and identify additional Marketplace opportunities over time.

For buyers, this separates a current named solution from a roadmap discussion. The proposed coordination brings network modernization into Azure migration and AI planning earlier; it does not establish delivered integration or a verified service‑level commitment.
