Snowflake’s November 3 announcement describes Business Ontology as an upcoming preview.
Suppose agents return different revenue totals. Trace each answer’s approved definition, scope and linked Semantic View before changing the glossary: approved brand variants can legitimately differ.
A shared definition does not certify matching calculations. Ontology links meaning across views without changing their math; implementation stays with view owners.
