Premier Group’s AI policy keeps final judgments with people

By OpenTools Team

The policy took effect November 1; the November 2 announcement separates AI adoption from decision authority.

Human judgment remains the principle

Japan’s Premier Group says its AI policy took effect November 1, ahead of its November 2 announcement. Its stated principle leaves final judgments and decisions to people. Encouraging employees to use AI therefore does not delegate final authority to a model.

Training and governance have separate roles

The company links AI adoption to staff training and an AI‑governance subcommittee established in September 2026. Training targets employees’ ability to use AI; the committee is intended to keep rules aligned with practice. Fairness, transparency and accountability, information security, privacy and intellectual property are stated commitments. The announcement does not demonstrate whether individual decisions receive review or safeguards work.
